My friends and I live hectic lives in Atlanta, and for my 40th we wanted to get away to the mountains and relax. This place was perfect! The house is very private with breathtaking views. We enjoyed hot tubing and playing ping pong and basketball in the game room. We went horseback riding nearby at Appalachian Trails, and loved hiking Turtletown Falls. We were a little taken aback by all of the rules posted around the house (four people in our group own vacation rentals and particularly found it odd), but the owners must have had unruly guests in the past. The property manager, Bryan, was top of the line!!!! He responded immediately to every question I emailed, and even kindly let me go back in after check out when I realized that I had forgotten something. The reviews said the basement was cold, and it was colder than the rest of the house (like most basements), but the friends that slept there said it was perfect for sleeping. We enjoyed it being cooler when we engaged in fierce ping pong battles! Overall, we loved this beautiful home, and we definitely hope to return soon! Thanks, Bryan, for your great hospitality!
The pictures online does the cabin no justice. The cabin is very nice plenty of space. The decor was very nice. Rooms was nice as well. This cabin had plenty of games for family game night. The ice maker was not functioning. We purchased additional bags for the next guest as well is it is an inconvenience to have to go into town for a bag of ice. The water pressure and temperature like the other review said was going in and out but definitely good enough for a warm shower. The down stairs was extremely cold at night. There should be a separate heating source. The dishwasher was broken and water was trapped inside of there. It had a foul smell for the water turned brown. It had been in there for a long time. There was a few spider webs and areas needing more dusting. So should speak to the housekeeper. We put a token of appreciation still. We enjoyed the stay overall. For the amount of the cabin a late check out should be awarded... wishful thinking I guess. :)
Overall very nice. Not creekside, across the road from creek. Short distance to Lake Blue Ridge. There was something wrong with the water pressure limiting showers, barely adequate. Great floorplan for family gathering. Had a great time.
