Great location! Hot tub was nice and relaxing after hiking. Our daughter loved playing with the ping pong and pool tables in the basement. Very cozy. We'd absolutely stay here again!

Loved everything except the wi-fi password didn’t work and I had no cell service or wi-fi the entire visit.

Relaxing perfect escape for the family. Close to all the hiking trails and the hot tub was a perfect end to the long days of hiking.

Nice distance from Hocking Hills trails. Close enough to Logan for grocery run for forgotten items. Plenty to do onsite to relax and have fun with the family.

The cabin was great! Very cozy, very clean, and had everything you would want for a weekend getaway! There was a slight issue with the jets on the hot tub(a maintenance schedule wasn't reset when the water was changed) but Nick was very responsive and walked me through getting it corrected in about 15 minutes. Sitting in the hot tub while the snow came down was our favorite part, but everything was excellent!

Real fireplace is good. Water quality needs to be improved such that there is no metallic smell.

I scrolled through several cabins before finally landing on this one, and I am beyond grateful that I did. From my first time seeing the pictures, I just felt like it was going to be perfect, and it was. If you’re looking for that true cabin feel, this is the place for you. The artwork, the decor, everything was perfect. The hot tub was amazing and so easy to use. The first thing we did when we walked in the door was set up the crockpot to make dinner. The kitchen had everything we needed to be able to cook our meal. Bring your own spices, but beyond that, you're ready.

We chose the Fernwood Cabin for a long weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and reading by the wood burning fireplace. The cabin has a lot of rustic charm and the skylights over the loft bedroom are a nice touch. The host was very responsive to our questions. This is a great cabin to spend a cold winter weekend relaxing.

Clean cabin and beds were comfortable. Everything we wanted to do in the area was within 15-20min max. Their was a game were you find a set amount of doller bills hidden around the cabin then sign it when found. Such a fun idea and kept us looking all weekend! Would recommend this cabin

Property was as depicted, cabin was clean and nice. Hot tub was spacious and clean. We had a great weekend at this property and will come back. Communication with the property manager was easy and straightforward they were even able to coordinate an early check in for our group.

The Fernwood cabin was the perfect little base camp for our Hocking Hills excursion. It was cozy, comfy, and clean. The hot tub was perfect after the long days on the trails. We will definitely be back.

The cabin is conveniently located for the area. It's on a defined road, but back far enough that you're secluded to the point that you forget the road is there. The location is very peaceful.The hot tub is such a joy, both to start your day and to relax after the day's adventures. The unit is very clean and has all the amenities needed. The vaulted ceilings and loft bedroom create a very cozy environment. The pool table was a definite plus as well.The host is very responsive. Only had one issue that we needed help with (locating the light switch for the light over the table...LOL) Host answered immediately and was very personable.We absolutely loved the cabin and would definitely recommend a visit.The only thing that could make this cabin better would be more comfortable chairs for the porch or maybe a little bistro set so you could even eat out on tbe porch.

The hot tub was definitely warm enough but didnt have hardly any pressure coming out of the jets that was actually working. Owner did try to get it looked at but was unable too so our stay was not as enjoyable as we would have liked. Better pressure out of the jets after a day of hiking the trails would have made it an awesome get away.

Loved the cabin!

Check in was easy and check out too. Host was very friendly and quick to respond to all questions. Nice secluded property that was 8-25 minutes from major tourist hiking locations. It was also only 8-10 minutes from the town of Logan with several nice dining opportunities.

I stayed at this property with two close friends for an annual camping trip. We have always done tent camping, but chose to splurge a little for the fifth year of this tradition, and we could not have been more pleased with our stay.The cabin is a cozy, private getaway nestled in the woods, a good distance away from the road and neighboring properties. You might hear the occasional car pass, but we did not find it disturbing. The beds were clean and comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and extra blankets. We cooked multiple meals in the kitchen (fully stocked), enjoyed them by the fire, and spent hours in the hot tub, which was also very clean and fully functioning. Nick was a perfect host, providing explicit instructions for check-in/out and responding promptly (within a few minutes) to any questions we had via VRBO chat. He never bothered us with unprompted messages during our stay.My friends and I also enjoyed the Ash Cave hike in Hocking Hills State Forest and Logan Lake, both of which were a short drive through the winding forest roads.I moved to Arizona 5 years ago, and all year long, I look forward to this annual trip to reconnect with my loved ones and the beauty of the Midwest. I can confidently say that our stay here accomplished this. Thank you, Nick!

I will recommend this cabin to everyone that wants to go

The cabin was very beautiful. Could've used a queen sized bed for us taller people, and the driveway was a little bit rough for having a car, would recommend a truck or suv.

Easy check-in,code on the door ready, and very clean cabin. We also played pool and ping-pong in the evenings. There is a nice fire pit as well. Kitchen had cookware ready for use. You can just clean up the cabin and checkout on your own by just packing up the car and leaving. 4-wheel drive may be best for the driveway. We thought it was fun to drive up it, but it may be more challenging without 4-wheel drive.

We had a great trip , loved the cabin . Well maintained, location was great and the property manager was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place to friends and family! Will use again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience

Everything was very nice

We wanted a place close to Hocking Hills, Ohio and we got it. Everything we wanted to do was within a 5 to 25 min drive from the cabin. The cabin was as listed and well maintained. Everything worked as it should and it was nice having AC because it was hot and humid when we were there. I sent the owner several questions and he promptly responded. The driveway is steep but manageable. Hot tub was awesome to have in the evening after hiking all day. Only thing i would want there is a bigger cutting board maybe to cut pizza on if we had a frozen pizza to throw in the oven and larger beds. I think the beds were twin size maybe and there is plenty of room to fit queen size beds. Overall thoughthe place is awesome to stay at and is recommended!

Very cool cabin

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. It was exactly as described and more. We were able to relax which is exactly what we wanted. Great hot tub and we really enjoyed playing pool. The only thing I would change is more comfortable chairs out on the deck and I would have spent more time outside but other than that it was perfect.

Cabin and grounds were great. The place was clean, fun, and well stocked. Nick was incredibly responsive and helpful. Had a great time.

I needed some time away from the city. This home offered a remote getaway that had everything I needed to relax and unplug. Lots of bird singing at the cabin in the morning. It was near lots of parks and trails which I explored during the day. Then back to the cabin to eat dinner and a soak in the hot tub. It was perfect. I hope to rent this lovely home again in the future.

We had a wonderful time. Nice place and would recommend. Cabin is well constructed and nice. First thing we noticed when entering was a strong smoke smell from the fireplace filling the cabin. But after being in the cabin for a while olfactory fatigue set in and it was hardly noticeable. Could use some updating in the kitchen and bathroom. Bathroom is small. Also there is a security camera on the front porch facing the road/drive/front firepit area. So we kind of felt like we were being eavesdropped on. But the camera is visible and not hidden so we knew it was there. Neighbors house was barely visible through trees from porch. Overall beautiful place and very close to just about everything in the Hocking Hills area.

Had a fantastic stay over the weekend of May 29-June 1. Place is exactly how described. Nice quiet location but very close to Logan where there are several restaurants etc. Road it is located on is directly across from the antique mall. Communication with owner of property was fantastic. Highly recommend!!!

The property was so clean and very secluded. Nick was very quick to respond and check in was easy. Cute little strip mall close to the location and a coffee shop that had the best coffee!

We had such a wonderful time during our visit. Nick sent us a two page letter covering anything and everything we may need to know before our stay. The cabin is adorable, clean and full of amenities. We loved the spacious hot tub, especially on the cool nights. We played pool and ping pong in the basement quite a few times in the evening and checked out all of Hocking Hills and the surrounding area during the day. We didn’t get a chance to have a fire, but we’re hoping to on our next visit. What wonderful memories we’ve just made.

This place is perfect for a couple of small group. The pool table was a nice additive, as well as the hot tub. Ceiling fan upstairs is unstable, but we brought a small fan from home. Location is great because you’re close to everything, and it’s very easy to find. We had a great time!!

It was okay, when we came all the towels were in the dryer and a bit damp. Had to run it some to dry them up completely. The place was dusty, the couch uncomfortable The pool table and ping pong were good, and it had very nice supplies for us. The indoor fireplace was nice as well. The hot tub was great. , and overall this place isn't the best.

Overall very nice and cozy stay. The cabin was just as advertised. Only thing that could improve on woukd be the one bed down stairs isnt very comfortable and the hot jets arent very strong. But it was a nice gateway for 2 nights.

We stayed for an extended weekend with our young kids (3&6) during spring break. The cabin was well stocked and had everything we needed which was so helpful. The kitchen had all the utensils you could need, there were towels and extra linens as well. We enjoyed the games the host provided and the fireplace was very nice. A note for families, the railing to the loft bedroom has rails that are quite far apart which could be a hazard (or at least a source of worry) for those with very small children. Overall the cabin was lovely and in a great location for seeing the local sights. The hot tub was a great way to end a long day of hiking!

Overall, it was great, ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom very unbalanced not able to use. Cabin is very cute. Was exactly as listed. Very nice area close to many attractions.

We had a lovely stay at this cabin in Hocking. 15 minute drive to grocery store, 5 min drive to hiking trails in the park, and very easy to find. We loved the grand fireplace in the cabin as well as the hot tub. Bed was comfortable.

Cozy cabin located on the hillside. Saw multiple species of wildlife while relaxing in the hot tub. Definitely recommend!

Quiet , clean and relaxing place to stay. Loved the hot tub , fireplace and pool table. We got locked out and Nick quickly helped us out immediately. We had such a much needed break from everyday life and work.

The cabin itself is wonderful. We had no reason to leave during our weekend stay at Fernwood. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Only ran into one issue as we were leaving. Due to the ice on the relatively steep driveway and 2WD vehicle we got stuck. However, I was able to call Nick and he picked up quickly and got someone to tow us out with no issues.

Great stay overall, drains in bathroom sink and tub drained slow. But no issue at all otherwise

Perfect location. Great host communication and accommodation. Cabin covered everything we needed for our week stay in December.

Our stay was “ok”. This could be such a nice cabin given some repairs and small convenience fixes. I give a 3 star overall review for the following reasons: 1. The dirt driveway where you pull in to the property is very steep, barely graveled and was difficult for my four wheel drive SUV to climb. If you have a car or small suv you will not be able to pull up the driveway to the property. This should be listed in the description for those who do have cars etc. 2. The bath tub was backed up and took 30 minutes to drain. It filled very quickly so you were standing in 1/4 bathtub full of water during your shower. I contacted Nick who was responsive but noted that he would have someone fix it once we were gone. 3. The headrests in the hot tub were falling apart and filling the hot tub with little pieces of leather so we had to avoid touching them- which was nearly impossible. 4. There are only two small pillows per bed - I would suggest bringing extra pillows with you if you unless you’re ok with basically sleeping flat on the bed. 5. The first night we wanted to cook dinner- but every plate and pan we pulled from the cabinet had dried food on it. So we ordered take out and washed the dishes for the next night. While the host was responsive to messages our problems were not solved during our stay. We ended up leaving one night early to sleep comfortably. Overall our yearly trip felt like a waste of money.

Everything was as expected/described/pictured. The mattresses could be more comfortable and the hot tub jets don’t work great but everything else was great. Would stay here again

My husband and I stayed here for an anniversary retreat. It was clean and cozy. Nick recommended picking up a box of Duraflame logs for the fireplace and they were amazing! We were close to Hocking Hills Canopy Tours, where we ziplined. We also enjoyed the nearby Antique Mall , just at the end of the road. We ate dinner at Cherry Street Pub in Lancaster, which was 15 minutes away. The hot tub was relaxing and the furniture was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you Nick! retreat.

Great place to stay, love the Fireplace and hot tub and enjoyed playing pool and ping pong also. Love that it’s so close to Cantwell Cliffs too. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed the cabin and the privacy. Check in was simple and Nick was very easy to communicate with. Had one issue and he was very responsive. We enjoyed the hiking trails of hocking hills. This was a great place for us.

The cabin was very nice. The driveway was a little hard making it up with our truck. The bed on the first floor was a little hard. Other than that everything was perfect!

This was the perfect cabin for our stay. The hot tub was big and we used it everyday. It very private and the trees keep you hidden back from the road. There is an uphill climb in the drive which might be an issue in icy weather but not a problem in the summer. But this is pretty typical with a lot of cabins. We were visited by the hummingbird several times on the front porch. The cabin was just what we needed!

We loved staying here and hiking! We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and front porch after hiking and enjoying Lake Logan.

The house was perfect for our family trip! The location is peaceful and secluded yet still within minutes of many activities and attractions. 10/10.

We took a 3 day mini vacation, wanted something cozy and with a hot tub. This place did not disappoint. It was shocking to us when we arrived to this massive hill, got stuck on a stump for a moment but then learned we can park closer to flat land and walk up haha comical start to our vacation. Driving distance to a lot of hiking trails and caves. Good food 15 minutes away. Hot tubs clean and perfect temp. Place is clean, we played ping pong and chill in the hot tub while we were there. Would highly recommend. Didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit but it’s a very nice set up.

We wanted to get away from the city for the weekend and this was the perfect spot! Such a serene location and the cabin had everything we needed. The hot tub was such a nice feature to have after a day of hiking.

We absolutely loved our cabin!! The location was amazing, it was clean, cute,comfortable, completely stocked and even better in person!!! The host was amazing and accommodating! We are coming back next year!!!! This will now be an annual trip for us! Even the teenagers had fun!!!
