Fawn Creek Hideaway(a dog friendly legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law)was built in the 1960's from logs and timber taken from the nearby area. It was one of the first structures in the Edelweiss area and served as a hunter's camp, complete with horse corral for trips into the back country. It was recently remodeled and now has a nicely finished interior.
Fawn Creek Hideaway has a fully equipped kitchen w/dishwasher & microwave, a beautiful and newly remodeled enclosed sunny breakfast nook, and living room with gas fireplace. TV/VCR/DVD, CD player, wireless internet and a great entertainment deck with BBQ, and table for relaxing in this wooded setting. I has two queen beds and a full sleeper sofa.

INTERNET POLICY
**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.
IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION POLICY :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**WEATHER CONDITIONS**
We are not responsible for weather conditions that impact your travel. If you will be arriving during the winter, please be sure you have proper equipment for driving in the snow, and carry tire chains for driving over the passes. Our local roads are always kept open and in good condition for winter travel. There are no refunds for road closures; however, if both Stevens and Snoqualmie mountain passes are closed for more than eight hours and the closures prohibit you from reaching the property, you may reschedule your stay for an arrival within three months of the pass closures. If one is open an the other closed, the guest is to take the alternate route. No refunds will be given alternative routes can be taken.
**Propane Fireplace--The propane stove is a supplemental heating source not the main one. If there should be tech issues or the propane fireplace during your stay, please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was in a beautiful setting, clean and comfortable and supplied with everything you need. Location was great for our day trips to Chelan, Grand Coulee Dam, Harts Pass and Osoyoos BC. We will be back. Thank you.
Enjoyed our time here! Check out was super easy and painless! Highly recommend!
This is our second year staying at Fawn Creek Hideway. We come in late May/early June to bird watch. The cabin is convenient to Rte 20 and Mazama, you can hear the sound of Fawn Creek through open windows. There is a large set of common rooms - kitchen, living room, dining room - on the main floor, and a master bedroom upstairs with a lovely view of trees and the sound of birds. Fishing and hunting trophies, art and decor abound. There are wildflowers blooming on the lawn. Plentiful and quick hot water, a dishwasher that didn't quite work how we expected, laundry facilities - everything we needed!
Loved staying in the cabin. It was short drive to ski trails and Mazama. Super cozy cabin with everything you could need.
We had a very comfortable winter stay at Fawn Creek Hideway. The cabin was spacious for our family of 4 with many cozy spots to sit, read, and enjoy the forest views. The kitchen was very well-stocked which made cooking easy. The setting is beautiful, close to town and just a short trip to a ski trailhead. We had to pry ourselves away when it was time to check out.
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was comfy and warm. It is in a great location near the ski trails.
Lovely stay!
The cabin is great, exactly what you would want in a cabin. Location is not as private as described. There is a new cabin directly behind it and a new build going up next to it. Construction during the week wasn’t very relaxing but weekends were quiet.
We stayed here for our week vacation! Great location, clean, well stocked kitchen, and really nice to have laundry!
Spacious, well equipped cabin. Great location. We would be happy to stay there again.
The property is just as described. Beautiful setting, quiet, nestled in the woods, close to hiking, biking, river rafting. It is clean, appointed comfortably and we had everything we needed. Plus our little dog was happy to be with us! Thank you to the owners for a wonderful stay. We will be back.
We enjoyed the cleanliness and attention to detail such as plenty of tp and other amenities. We drove back and forth to Winthrop twice a day for roaming around then back again for dinner. Not many places to eat as several were closed up. Plan ahead for restaurants or just use the kitchen as they provide everything.
We loved our stay at Fawn Creek Hideaway. When we weren't out hiking the trails we spent our time on the porch watching the hummingbirds and enjoying the space. Two of us slept in one of the two bedrooms and the third on the couch/bed in the living room. The kitchen was well supplied with all of the necessary cooking equipment such as pots, pans, coffee pot, tea kettle, dishes, glassware, etc. If the weather wasn't as good as it was, we would have spent our time in the breakfast nook. Such a lovely space. We would love to return in the winter for a cross country ski trip and an opportunity to try out the sauna.
This is the 2nd year we have stayed at the Fawn Creek Hideaway. We love it, and it allows us to get our dog away form the fireworks that drive him crazy. It's close to our favorite hiking spots. We also appreciate being able to feed the humming birds while we are there. I hesitate tow rite a good review because other people will be interested. Please don't take out spot!
Great location right off SR20 and situated between Winthrop and Mazama. Great birdwatching and access to biking and walking trails. The quick run into Mazama for coffee was easy and enjoyable. Loved the breakfast nook and outdoor deck Great location in warmer weather as there is lots of shade. Would book again in a heartbeat.
Private lovely front porch in case it rains. We enjoyed the hummingbirds and well stocked kitchen
Everything was comfortable, roomy, well-appointed on Goat Creek Road, with spring wildflowers, lovely evergreens and birds singing!
