Griggsville, Illinois
Our lodge has 3 stories with a total of 8 bedrooms and 6 full bathrooms. Each floor has its own washer and dryer and big screen TV. Some bedrooms are set up with Queen size beds, King size beds and some with log Bunk style beds. The upper level has a loft overlooking the large kitchen below. We have an additional family room in the (garage) as well as in the basement.
Also have a 3 seasons wet room downstairs that over looks the 3 acre pond. A 3 tier drop down deck that surrounds the entire cabin offering a beautiful panoramic view from sunrise to sunset w/ease of access to the waters edge for great fishing anytime of day. An anchored dock to fish from and an additional floating dock located in the middle of the pond.
Great for kayaks and a paddle boat for those of you that choose to work out those legs. All this beauty rests in the middle of over 3000 acres of woods, corn and soybean fields. Beautiful hiking trail through the woods behind the lodge. The morrell mushrooms are everywhere during the end of April into the first part of May.
All of our creeks are loaded with geodes of every shape and size for those, that enjoy outdoor activities . We also have a fire pit (firewood available )for late night camp fires or roasting hot dogs and marshmallows near the waters edge.
So between the swimming, fishing, hiking, geode hunting, mushroom hunting, paddle boat, kayaks, Mt. biking, scenic drives, bird watching, wildlife viewing, campfires, horse shoes, and still being with in 15 minutes of town, I'm sure you will have no problem enjoying yourself to the fullest and relaxing at our beautiful Bradshaw Lodge LLC.
This lodge was perfect for our group! Plenty of space for everyone. The kids loved swimming, using the kayaks, and fishing. The yard was great for yard games too! The adults loved sitting on the large deck and visiting while still being able to watch the kids play. At night the stars were beautiful and we even saw some shooting stars too! Stacey was wonderful to work with. Great time making wonderful memories.
Lots of green space and house had lots of room for 29 of us It was our annual family get together. The main issue was the pond. It was not fit to swim in. Which was a big disappointment
Stacey was helpful and place is good for our group.
We needed a large place for a college reunion - multiple families with kids of all ages. This place delivered! Plenty of beds, lounge space, clean, secluded and tons of fun for everyone - kids and adults. The kids only got out of the lake for rain and the adults had plenty of space to chat, relax, and/or play games. Thanks for the memories!!!
The family loved swimming in the lake. There was plenty of room for all of us. Stacy was great to work with. We had a great time.
Great space with plenty of bedrooms for everyone ! Love the huge kitchen with 2 family size tables for everyone to eat at ! The kids all love swimming in the lake all day too ! Such a wonderful experience as this was our second time there and we can’t wait to go back this year! Thanks for a great time!
Excellent. Friendly. Fun. Helpful. This place is the place to get away from the world. It's away from everyone, quiet and relaxing. The children played in the water (the lake could use some cleaning) from daylight till dark. Yes! We would rent this property again
The lodge is spacious, nicely furnished, good services (air co., hot water, walk-in fridge, dish washer, beds, kitchen utensils, etc.) and roomy for our 30 family members from infants to grand-parents. The pond has some surface growth, but it didn't hinder us from fishing, boating, and swimming. Only downers - the roads and flies are horrible!
Our large family throughly enjoyed a 4 nights stay. The accomodations were way beyond our expectations. We enjoyed the pond, for fishing and swimming along with the kyacks, paddleboats and the floating dock . The location was nice and quiet until we arrived. :) Enjoyed the wildlife, the nature trails and just special quality time with our families who came from PA - KS. A great central meeting place.
A group of friends spent the weekend together at this large and comfortable lodge. There is plenty of space and the first and second floors are clean and comfortable. Guests loved the beds and the many bathrooms. Guests also raved about the beautiful property, from the pond to the hiking trails. While this lodge is clearly worthy of a five star review, I will say the check in process felt more like a bunch of warnings instead of a friendly welcome. I understand the need to establish some ground rules, but during the walk through it felt like we, the adult paying guests in our mid thirties, we’re being seen as more of a liability than mature adult guests who simply wanted to enjoy each other’s company. It wasn’t the best way to set the tone for the weekend. Regardless the owners do a great job of having many accessories and staying in touch via phone. I would recommend this lodge to all large groups.
