This cabin is a real cabin and not a house in a neighborhood listed as a cabin. It is surrounded by National Forest in Heavily Wooded terrain. The property is located at the entrance of Eleven Mile Canyon. The property has Twin Creek, a free stone headwater running through the center of the property into the Gold Medal waters of the South Platte River. At 8,000 feet elevation, the cabin has direct access to Pike National Forest right out the front door and within walking distance of world class gold medal waters. The Home’s 2 bedrooms both offer warm, comfortable sleeping quarters for up to 4 guests. The primary bedroom is spacious, open, and bright. The King size bed is situated near big, beautiful window that over sees pine trees and a view of the entrance to the canyon. At night, you can open the window and listen to the sounds of the South Platte River. The home’s second bedroom features a single bed, and 1 bunk bed for families or small group of friends. If your interest is hiking or ATVs, you can walk directly out the front door into 1 million acres of Pike National Forrest. Alternatively, for a shorter hike you can access the properties acreage of Twin Creek. There you will see and enjoy the numerous beaver ponds situated on the property. The property and Twin Creek are listed in Michele White’s book, “Lesser Known Fly-fishing Venues”. If you’re interested, and with prior approval, the Twin Creek and ponds would make a great backdrop for a small wedding venue. This ideal location in South Park, Colorado allows you to fish Eleven Mile Canyon in the morning and the World Class “Dream Stream” in the afternoon and be back for a shower and dinner within minutes. In the fall, you can take lunch and hike from the cabin to the South Platte River to see large Brown Trout returning to spawn. Also, in the fall, we have numerous hunting opportunities. The cabin is in Unit 581. Moose, Deer, Elk, and Turkey are all within walking distance.   In the Fall of 2025, we had a Bull Moose on the property standing in Twin Creek.  It’s also a great time for leaf peeping on the property, in the canyon or in the National Forest. All wheel or 4 wheel drive is recommended particularly during the months of October through April. A Very Detailed Digital Guestbook is Available Upon Request and Upon Booking!

The lodge was perfect for our family vacation. My first impression was how clean it was. It has a well equipped kitchen for cooking, puzzles to enjoy in our free time, and trails that are right off the backyard. Eleven Mile Canyon is right there, and is such a beautiful area. Driving up Tarryall Rd close by, we saw so much wildlife…bighorn sheep, pronghorn, a moose, and a baby bear. It was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place if you are looking to stay in this area.

This Lake George cabin is a lovely spot to spend time while fishing 11 mile Canyon and a lovely place to hang out. Communication was excellent with the host. The location could not have been more perfect. Away from the crowds and set amongst a wonderful forest. I would highly recommend!

Where do I start. Deafening quiet (just what we needed as we live in central Houston), peaceful, very, very well laid out place up in the mountains of Colorado AND for anyone who likes to fish, just ~15 or so minutes away from car to the beautiful 11 mile river. We drove it our first night and the views were breathtaking. It takes about 20-30 minutes each way through the park that is literally across the road from the house. We hired Angler's Covey two days and caught trout ranging from 12 to 22 in the river. Drove to Buena Vista and fished with Ark Anglers another day; it was totally worth the drive as we went to an upper lake. If you like to fish, this is THE place to go. We went by ourselves two days and just had a so-so time as we were there during Labor Day weekend and things were kinda crowded. Plus how does one know where to fish on a 11 mile river? Spend the money and hire the guide, at least for the first day. My wife enjoyed speedy WiFi, coffee and reading a couple of books. Grocery stores were about 20 minutes away and the house had pretty much everything you could want. By the way, the write up doesn't say it but the house was less than 6 months old. It is not your tired and old cabin by any stretch of the imagination. We enjoyed eating outside on the large picnic table and just trying to take it all in. Was a fantastic stay, great, host and just what we needed - totally recommend!!

We wished we could have stayed at this property longer. It was a great getaway for our family and fun location with Eleven Mile Canyon nearby and other towns close by. Bart was easy to communicate with and so helpful answering questions we had. The guide book he shared was perfect with so much helpful information! Definitely recommend and we will be back!
