Elk Garden, West Virginia
Cabin A is situated on a secluded road amid a private, wooded and beautiful setting. Abrams Creek is near many extraordinary recreational sites, but is also its own destination. You are never far from our wild, whitewater stream that runs through a majestic hemlock forest. In some places, the stream is a constant source of energy and playfulness; in other places, it is peaceful and calming, inviting you to soak in its beauty. The forest contains a vast array of plants and wildlife.
The Space
Cabin A is a rustic camping cabin; it has electricity and heating, but no plumbing. It has a microwave, a small refrigerator, a propane tabletop stove that uses the (approximately) 1 lb bottles, and a full-size propane grill (uses 20 lb tanks). We offer tank rentals, including propane, for $5 per day.
The cabins are fully furnished with beds, chairs, table, and other necessary furnishings, but our guests supply their own pillows, blankets, sheets, towels, pots, pans, plates and tableware. There are bunk beds and a queen bed on the main floor, a queen mattress in one loft and two twin mattresses in the other loft. There are portapotties and a showerhouse nearby, as well as sources of potable drinking water.
If you want less rustic accommodations, we have those as well, at very affordable prices.
Guest Access
Near the lodge house and office there is access to a phone with free calls anywhere in the US. There is no WiFi at the cabins, but there is WiFi in the vicinity of the main lodge house.
We are located within 30-45 minutes of many major recreational areas, including Blackwater Falls, Swallow Falls, Dolly Sods Wilderness, the Youghiogheny River, several ski resorts, and Deep Creek Lake. Mount Storm (3 miles) has a general store, gas station, library, motel, sports and recreation store, and public park.
Interaction with Guests
Guests are welcome to interact with hosts as they choose or be as private and secluded as they wish to be. Weather permitting, we have a bonfire most Saturday nights.

Somewhere to go and enjoy the peace and quiet, this is the place. The Manger was very nice and helpful with any issue that came up. The only suggestion is for someone to make sure that someone air out the cabin and sweep the floor wash the curtain, when open doors it has a molded smells to the place cause of beening closed up for so long.
Mold MOLD and then some more moldy. We had to leave
Cabin was filthy our bathroom was half a mile away and that was supposed to be handicapped accessible for my mom with lung cancer we had to wait a extra hour and a half to check in and it was still filthy it was the worse experience of my whole summer I will never go back there and don't suggest for anyone to go there pictures are very deceiving
We had a great time staying in this very rustic cabin. Just like camping without having to pitch a tent. Loved that we could bring our dog.
