El Tigre | Pet Friendly + Fenced Yard

So pretty. The river running right through the property was nice.

Property has potential to be super nice with a little TLC from an actual handy man instead of whoever has been doing it. It is pet friendly but to get to the fenced in yard you have to go down 2 flights of stairs. It does say in the booking per fees may apply. The owner of the property, which is a major rental company, never detailed or listed in their co tract or online what the fees would be if any until we were loading up to head there. 75 per pet plus tax. None of which was communicated in the week prior. Kind of seemed like a gotcha fee type of deal in my opinion. Had to change out multiple light bulbs near or over the main stairs. There is also not a porch light for the patio/grill area. The kitchen says fully furnished but is short some items in my opinion. Have definitely stayed in worse places but also have stayed in better. Could also be the issues with the property owner/management prior to arrival for the possibly jaded review.

This rental had no internet service and no TV service. I might as well have vacationed in a cave. The property manager said it was because of internet maintenance but I believe the owners cancelled their internet service to save money. Renter beware!

Was Awesome

This little cabin is perfect for a small family. We really enjoyed it!

The central air does not function. One portable a/c downstairs in family room/kitchen worked well for cooling but was so loud we couldn’t carry on a conversation or hear the TV. Upstairs portable a/c never worked for entire week. Therefore no sleeping in only bedroom in the house. We had to move the kingsize mattress downstairs and sleep on the floor the whole stay. It was very difficult to move the mattress given the angles of the staircase. Two repair people were sent out but neither could repair the upstairs a/c. On the plus side - we saw wild horses, deer, and elk from the property. There was a lot of mud in town from the flooding after the fires and the water main leak and the gas leak. And some of the roads were closed. Our last day, July 20, 2024 was right before another round of flooding. We worried we might be stuck there sleeping on the floor. The property management gave us a small refund for our troubles.

We went to look at college and apartments there and stayed here because they allowed us to bring our pet family along with us. This house is very cute, we love the fenced in yard and we loved the location. I plan to stay here anytime I come to the area to visit my daughter.

The facility is nice, quiet, but if you want to use a Roku device, it's not going to work, for there's no internet you can only watch what's on TV vía satélite and I have my own channels on my Roku, and computer which won't allow you to even pay your bills vía Internet

Hot tub was one of the criteria in our filters. Somehow this property was included in our search and one reviewer marveled at the relaxing hot tub experience. Alas no hot tub. :'( This alone disappointed us but we also spent a couple hours cleaning. Dusting, sweeping, sanitizing, and rewashing dishes inside the home, picking up trash and poop outside and even pulling overgrown grass and weeds. Had I brought my tools, I would have tightened multiple loose legs on tables, handles on drawers and doorhandles. With some spackle and paint, I could have secured the broken toilet paper holder, patched some cracks and done some touch up painting. If I had only brought my carpet cleaner, I would have removed the numerous stains from the carpet. If it were my property, I would add a garbage disposal, a dishwasher, and replace the difficult blinds on the back door. The refrigerator(s) MUST be replaced! It took a while to remember we were on vacation! Once settled, we had a lovely stay! Quiet and private.

Nice property, close to everything. Lots of wildlife in area, quiet and peaceful. Owners need to update kitchen utensils, pots and pans etc.
