Stayed May 16, 2021The cabin was clean, neat and comfortable. We stayed four nights and enjoyed every moment. I wanted this to be a real vacation without the hurry here, do this, be there, tight schedule routine that usually comes with going on vacation. The Eagles Nest provided just that. With it's comforts and spectacular view from the screened in back porch, you almost don't want to leave the cabin. The beds were a little hard and uncomfortable, but let's face it, there is no bed like your bed at home. The Georgia Mountain Rentals staff was very friendly and helpful. I was contacted by phone from a friendly voice to let us know that the cabin was ready for us and contacted the next day just to make sure that we were good. I would strongly recommend the Eagle's Nest and Georgia Mountain Rentals to anyone looking for a relaxing get-away!! Anthony P. 5/21/2021

Stayed Feb 12, 2026Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was clean and ready for our arrival. The view was better than the pictures show with Mt Yonah in the distance. The rental ageny called to check on us which was a nice touch. The directions to the cabin were clear and easy to follow. If you use GPS/Google Maps, it will take you right to the cabin. We went up the hill on a low clearance car and made it fine. The beds are comfortable. There were plenty of towels. the only thing I would add to the cabin would be some hot pads/mitts for cooking as there were none. It made taking pans from the oven a little difficult. There is no ice maker in the door of the fridge but the ice maker in the top of the freezer supplied plenty. The tv's have been update to flat screens and are not the ones in the photos online.Overall it was a great stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Helen is very close by and if you feel VERY energetic, hike Mt Yonah for great views. If you would rather stay indoors, nearby Clarksville has antique malls and a GREAT car museum.Have Fun!!

Stayed Jul 7, 2025The place was isolated with bears coming into the yard so we were afraid to go outside and under the kitchen sink there were a lot of plastic shopping bags and what appeared to be rodent droppings. Photos are enclosed of under kitchen sink and rodent droppings. The hot tub wasn’t entirely clean so we couldn’t enjoy it the entire week. The management team were awesome though. The roads to the cabin are somewhat concerning. My sister’s car had to be towed away because of the strain it put in her car getting up to the cabin. I don’t think I would book this one again.

Stayed Jul 4, 2025Where do I begin, terrible roads and ditch getting into the drive-way (thank God we had a 4 wheel drive truck). Not welcoming at all. Fire pit looks like it fell off a dump truck and landed in the gravel. No chairs outdoors, front porch with nothing on it. No curb appeal, rotten wood and huge spider webs upon entering. Every single room throughout this cabin has the bare minimum. For example, no potholders, maybe 2-3 worn pans that are 30 years old. This cabin needs a major update, not cared for at all and lacking any of your typical North Ga. charm whatsoever. Felt like an abandoned old cabin with a few odds and ends laying around.Piles of wood in the yard, the old deck must’ve been rotten but they forgot to remove it so it’s dumped on the side of the cabin. Scorpion in the sink!! No blinds in one bedroom. Hope you wake up early. Ceiling fan in master bdrm makes the worst creaking noise, needs to be replaced, again probably 30 years old. We could not use it.Basically, everything is old and worn down without going into every detail. Propane gas in grill ran out while we were grilling steaks. We did enjoy the hot tub after mountain biking and there is a pretty view from back porch. We rent a lot of cabins in North Ga. This is by far the worst one yet. Very overpriced for the quality. Highly disappointed.

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is clean, large, well-equipped plus having a great Mountain View. The screened in porch and outer deck are fantastic. We enjoyed the view and breeze while we grilled our dinner. The drive to get to the cabin is a typical mountain road with curves and hills. Four wheel drive helpful during rain but not absolutely needed. Entire family, even teenage boys, had a great time. Management staff great.

Stayed Mar 13, 2025Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The last minute switch of cabins is always makes you nervous but it was a lovely cabin with beautiful view. The hot tub had a lot of hard water settlement in it and they came quickly and cleaned it up. Having hot tub at home with well water, I am aware of the extra care it takes to filter the water when filling. I would make this suggestion for filling and cleaning for future guest. Over all the cabin was clean and lovely. The view was spectacular. Love north Georgia and I am sure we will be back again.

Stayed Feb 20, 2025Stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the cabin tremendously. Views were amazing and the hot tub was a perfect way to finish off a long day fly fishing! Highly recommend Mully’s for dinner in nearby Helen, GA. Fireplace was perfect too, for our February stay.

Stayed Oct 11, 2024This is a first class facility in a beautiful location. Excellent checkin and communication. The view is wonderful, and the hot tub is nice after a days hike. Nice balance of seclusion but easy access to Helen. Only criticism is the kitchen could be better furnished, and there was some animal hair on the rug. Otherwise the property was clean and well appointed. Highly recommended.

Stayed Sep 14, 2024Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Long story short, this was not the home we had originally reserved, the first home was sold & no longer available, this was offered as an alternative. The home was lovely, three bedrooms were in separate areas with their own private baths, nice! The highlight of the home was the screened-in porch with far-reaching views & a nice hot tub. Though there were other homes fairly nearby, none could be seen from the porch so the sense of privacy was real.On the less positive side, do not count on a fire pit, though it is listed in the description. There is a fire ring there in the front by the drive, but, as mentioned in other reviews, there is nowhere to sit and it is obvious it has not been used for some time. I'm pretty sure I saw a review response (or two) that mentioned chairs on order, so I assumed... Those reviews were old and still no chairs. Truly, a couple of very large logs to sit on would be sufficient. If you travel with chairs, you might be tempted, but the placement is still off-putting. Others also mentioned the drive up, which can be a little treacherous if wet or if you meet another car. Fortunately for us, it was dry and no traffic, so just take it very slow and watch the holes and ruts. It's not long, not terrible and the view is worth it.We enjoyed our stay in the area, visited Helen for Oktoberfest, hiked, visited some of the waterfalls and also spent a day winery hopping, which was nice and there are plenty to choose from. We really enjoyed Hofbrauhaus at the end of downtown Helen, closest to this house. The food and service were great, the patio offered great views of the river & had live music. Cristoffs beer garden was pleasant, the staff friendly. Be sure to visit Betty's Country Store, charming, deceptively large and has everything you need, and then some, for food and wine.I would revisit both the area and this home. The house is lovely and there's plenty to do nearby.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We needed to get away before our busy season started. I wanted to away high up on a mountaintop away from people. That's exactly what we got a not a soul around. It was so peaceful and quiet. We wanted to be near Helen and Anna Ruby falls and this was the perfect location. Yes the road to the top of the mountain is on a slightly bumpy dirt road but that's part of the adventure of being in the mountains. I was hoping to see a bear but we didn't. We did see a beautiful deer right on the road. So make sure you go slow and respect the wildlife. You will even see a mini waterfall on the way down the road on the left side. The decor in the cabin was just perfect with bears everywhere and cute lamps in the bedrooms. Beds were comfy and plenty of extra pillows and blankets if needed. The bathrooms were nice and clean. You have have to remember to turn the water spicket to turn on the shower. (I saw that when reading an answer to a review) We had everything we needed in the kitchen I made breakfast every morning and we sat and ate it on the screened in porch looking over the mountain tops. The hot tub on the screened in porch was nice and clean and we loved to use it. I would highly recommend this Cabin!

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin itself was beautiful, but it wasn't handicap accessible for anything. My mom had a terrible time trying to get up the steps and wasn't able to take a shower. We actually left a day early because it was so hard for her. Also, the road to the location was horrible. We about got stuck multiple times coming up.
