Stayed Aug 19, 2023We loved our stay here. We visit NC every year and this was the best place we’ve stayed on. Definitely will be booking this place again.

Stayed Oct 16, 2025The cabin was equipped. It was a real cabin so kind of colder for October. Unit heaters in all rooms.Loved using the fireplace. Wasn’t sure about the garage rental and different folks coming by.It was the perfect size for 2. Enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Oct 14, 2025Beautiful location; cozy cabin; safe environment; clean, well-maintained site; lots of amenities for families; pet-friendly. Cabin lacked a personal touch; lacked information about amenities in the area; kitchen needs updated equipment. The community is peaceful and has stunning views. Our stay was most enjoyable and relaxing.

Stayed Oct 10, 2025The cabin was small and cozy, we loved using the fireplace and fire pit. It was perfect for a long weekend trip. A couple of things that would have been nice: first, the listing says it sleeps 5…the photos show a bunk bed, which would have been perfect for my two teens (a boy and a girl), but we found that the top bunk was very unstable. We learned from the host that the top bunk was unusable for anyone over 100 lbs so someone had to sleep on the sofa (which was not a sofa bed…just a sofa) . So - just keep in mind that unless they fix the bunk bed situation, the cabin really would only sleep 4 unless you had a small child (king bed in master, double bottom bunk bed in second bedroom). Additionally, taking the trash to a dumpster on the way out was a bit more difficult than we anticipated. While someone who knows Eagles Nest better might not have any trouble finding it, for our family (who had never been there before), it was a not an easy thing to find, despite the instructions. Plan ahead to locate the dumpster before you are ready to leave. :)All in all, it was a small, cozy cabin in a very beautiful area with lots of neighborhood amenities.

Stayed Feb 18, 2024The king size bed had visible depressions and humps. The mattress was so bad that anyone, especially someone who already has chronic back pain (me) is going to have trouble sleeping and risk injuring themselves the next day. There was no comforter on the king bed either- only a paper thin cover and an extra blanket. We had to crank up the heat just to keep from freezing in the bed. There were several light fixtures with dead bulbs, and the secondary bedroom’s overhead light randomly cuts off. The bathroom is very small and can be a bit tight for family use. The hot tub was a plus, but the jets do not work at all and it does not maintain the set temperature. The neighborhood and amenities are decent. The kitchen is fairly equipped. Overall this is a good budget option but there is nothing luxurious.

Stayed Feb 18, 2023While the cabin is compact, it has all you need: well-stocked kitchen, a stackable washer/dryer that came in handy to wash our ski clothes each night, great water pressure in the shower, and a hot tub. My husband and children reported the twin beds were hard and not comfortable, but the king bed in the other bedroom was super comfy. The detailed directions sent upon booking are a MUST to follow to find the cabin...get your odometer ready. And they are not kidding about needing a 4WD vehicle because you have to climb to the top of the mountain and back down a little before arriving at the cabin; parts of the climb and descent are steep. Don't let the distance to Beech Mountain that is listed fool you....the short distance that's listed is if you travel over some sketchy roads and paths that sounded dangerous in the description that was sent via email after booking. We opted for the safest path and it took about 20-25 minutes by the time you rode down the mountain to the neighborhood entrance and then on to Beech Mountain. The neighborhood is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing all the deer out and about. The cabin was also super clean!!
