Dog Friendly 10 Acre Retreat Fly Fishing and Pond

Super clean. Very quiet and restful place. While off the beaten path, it's a quick drive to Blue Ridge etc. Lovely setting for the hot tub for cool evening soaks.

We really enjoyed staying at Bluebird. The house was clean and perfect! We enjoyed fishing in the stream and our lab enjoyed the open land. We will be back!

The property was so private and nice for spreading out and relaxing with our family. It was very dog friendly and we had a wonderful time. We would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Property was as advertised. Very dog friendly. They even provide a bed and dishes for the pups. My dog had a great time running around the property. She’s older and acted like a young pup. Even got to chase a rabbit. Coming from South Fl, it may be the first she ever saw. Check in was easy, the cabin was very nice and the fireplace is the best. Blue Ridge is close by and seems like a good choice for meals and entertainment but I was interested in solitude and some fly fishing and got lots of both. Impending ice storm caused us to leave a half day early, but I will definitely try and get back for some quality peace and quiet. The creek is really nice and overall the property gives you and a dog, if you have one, a lot of room to roam.

Our stay exceeding our expectations. The property was beautiful. It is beyond dog friendly. The acres are mowed down so there was so much space for our dogs to run. I swear I haven’t seen them that happy and exhausted after each night, ever. We’re so grateful to have taken this trip. My dogs particularly loved swimming in the creek even if it was 30 degrees out. We loved being able to hear the creek in the background, it was so relaxing and beautiful. One thing I’d like to add as it’s not always the case, but the beds were actually very comfortable. Thank you for such a great stay. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay. Ample porch sitting and inviting atmosphere, even for the dog. Kitchen had staples needed to prepare and enjoy family meals. The outdoor sitting area for campfires was inviting.The platform at the creek wasn't there to sit and enjoy creek side sitting or fishing. I guess it was knocked off to the side, this made it harder to access the flat land shown in pictures. The pond was a nice walk to get to. There was one day in which the mowers came and spent half the day working which one woke guests and two was slightly annoying; just felt this should have been communicated ahead of time, we could have arranged a day out that day. Overall, we enjoyed our time here.

Our stay at Camp Bluebird was phenomenal! We loved the simplicity of the cabin surrounded by 10 acres of woods and fields plus the peaceful creek running the length of the property. Our pups absolutely loved it and they were tuckered out every night after walking around and sniffing the property. We saw ample deer and birds around as well. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We have been to Blue Ridge multiple times and we both agreed this will be the place we will always return to! You will not be disappointed if you book this cabin, we were so sad to leave!

Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. Cabin was clean and well stocked. Close to shopping, dining and sightseeing. My favorite part was coffee on the front porch every morning with the birds and deer.

Once again, Camp Bluebird did not disappoint.

We had an amazing stay here! The owner was very communicative to us about the roads (during a few snow days) and checked in with us throughout the trip. She responded fast and made it super easy. The house and land is beautiful. It was such a nice relaxing stay and we will definitely be coming back!

Every year we take a trip specifically for our dogs around memorial day. We love the Blue Ridge/Mineral Bluff area because it's such a dog friendly place. This cabin was perfect for us! It was easy to get to and easy to check in. Patrick was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin was clean and beds were comfortable. There was even a dog bed our dogs loved so much that I bought one when we got home. Our dogs absolutely loved playing in the creek. We experienced a good bit of rain and storms while we were there, so the creek was too high and rough for them to play a couple of days. But even with the rain, we enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch and relaxing. We have high energy German Shepherds, and there was PLENTY of land for them to run and play, especially around the pond. We would love to stay here again next time.

It was a good trip, but wished we would have caught some fish. Pond looks like it needs to be stocked again. It was quiet and relaxing though and very nice with the creek right there, had a nice campfire. Very close to Blue Ridge.

Such a beautiful property. Cozy, comfortable home with great stocked kitchen. Front porch swing is very nice, but the screened in back porch is super. Afternoon nap time is a must with the creek sounds to lull you to sleep. You feel like you’re far away from everything, but it’s still very convenient to town and activities Our pups enjoyed the property as well. Thanks for sharing the beautiful place.

The house, the property, the neighborhood was wonderful. We will revisit for sure. The house was clean and well stocked with a wonderful property to enjoy.

This property is in real need of work. It was like someone's family home they happen to rent out. The furniture was dirty. I had to wipe it down before sitting on it. The exterior needs repair and a good coat of paint. One night at home adjacent to the property, someone had a shooting party that went on well to 11pm. It was quite disturbing as it is easy to have stray bullets. I thought I was going to get a partial refund but that didnt happen. The beds were like rocks. I should have read more carefully about the bedrooms as they had no televisions. The living area was super tiny and there really was only one place one could comfortably watch a movie or ball game. This property is not one I would ever recommend and will not return. I will say the Hemptown Creek is nice. One would not be pulling any large fish from there but it was a fun place to try to fish.

My husband, two dogs and I so loved the property! The house had all we needed and was clean. We spent most of our time on the screened porch listening to the creek. We will definitely stay again!!

Definate place to stay again. Clean, great location, and has everything! We had a short trip and it was fabulous. Quiet and peaceful, yet close to everything. Our dog Sadie Mae loved it. Already thinking about when we can come back.

Very nice property, probably stayed here 5 or more times over the years. Noticed some nice upgrades this visit, hot tub, news flooring among them.

Made a quick getaway for some peace and quiet and it was wonderful. Master bed comfortable. Easy parking. Easy check-in and out. Great creek.

Our family really enjoyed our week at this property. Our daughter is almost 2 and it was nice to have limited steps and flat outdoor space for her to run around and play. The kids enjoyed playing in the creek and lounging in the hammocks. We enjoyed sitting on the porches and watching the deer, rabbits, squirrels, and birds. The house itself met our needs. My son didn’t want to leave. He asked if we could just buy this place and live here all the time. Thank you for a great stay!
