The Wild Huckleberry is a design-led family cabin in the Smoky Mountains, just minutes from Dollywood and thoughtfully created for parents and kids to enjoy equally.

Close enough to hear the Dollywood train whistle, yet tucked into a peaceful wooded setting, the cabin sleeps 8 across three true bedrooms - with no one sleeping in the living room.

Spend the day at Dollywood, explore Pigeon Forge or head into the Great Smoky Mountains, then come home for hot-tub soaks, fireside evenings, arcade competitions and slow mornings together.

EASY MAIN-LEVEL LIVING

The Wild Huckleberry is unusually easy to settle into for a mountain cabin.

There are no stairs to the entry or deck, and the entire main level — including the kitchen, dining area, great room, primary king bedroom and a full bathroom — can be accessed without stairs.

The only staircase leads to the upper level, where you’ll find the queen bedroom, kids room, game loft and half bath.

This makes the cabin especially comfortable for multigenerational family trips and guests who prefer to minimize stairs.

CLOSE TO THE FUN. TUCKED INTO THE WOODS.

One of our favorite things about The Wild Huckleberry is its location.

We’re close enough to Dollywood that you can hear the unmistakable whistle of the Dollywood Express from the cabin.

That convenience matters with kids: head out for rides in the morning, come home for lunch or downtime, and head back out when everyone is ready.

Yet when you’re home, you’re surrounded by trees rather than the Parkway.

Close to the fun. Quiet enough to exhale.

A KIDS ROOM MADE FOR THEM

We didn’t want the kids’ room to feel like somewhere we simply squeezed in extra beds.

The Huckleberry Kids Room sleeps four with:

3 built-in twin beds + 1 twin trundle

Each space is being designed to feel like its own little hideaway, with cozy bedding, books and playful details.

There’s also a TV for movie nights and the kind of setup made for cousins whispering after bedtime and siblings choosing “their” bed the moment they arrive.

AND THEY GET THEIR OWN GAME LOFT

The kids’ bedroom isn’t the game room. They get both.

The separate upstairs loft includes:

Reading nook

They can game, draw and hang out upstairs while the adults enjoy the quieter spaces below.

The interiors are being layered with creamy neutrals, rich greens, natural wood, vintage-inspired textiles and collected details designed to feel like a true family mountain home rather than a themed vacation rental.

Curl up by the fire after Dollywood. Settle in for a movie. Bring out the board games.

Or let the kids disappear upstairs while you actually finish your coffee.

KITCHEN + BREAKFAST NOOK

The kitchen is designed for real family stays — from pancakes before Dollywood and trail snacks to easy dinners at home.

The adjoining breakfast nook is made for morning coffee, cereal with sleepy kids, card games after dinner and slow mornings when no one needs to rush.

After a day at Dollywood or exploring the Smokies, come home and sink into the private hot tub surrounded by the wooded setting.

Gather around the fire pit for s’mores and stories from the day, or settle onto the deck with morning coffee and fresh mountain air.

The Wild Huckleberry is our own family mountain home, and we hope it feels that way when you’re here.

ABOUT THE CURRENT PHOTOS

The current photography shows the cabin’s actual architecture, layout and outdoor spaces.

Before our first Wild Huckleberry guests arrive, the interiors will be transformed with new paint, lighting, furnishings, textiles, styling and the custom kids spaces described above.

The deck, hot tub and fire pit remain part of the property.
