Deer Meadow Lodge ~ Nestled on 3 Acres in the Heart of the Black Hills.

The house was very clean, there was plenty of firewood.

My friends and I absolutely loved staying at Mike's cabin! It had more than enough space for all 8 of us. We enjoyed playing games and watching movies by the fireplace, cooking meals together in the kitchenette area, and sitting outside in the hot tub under the stars while it snowed. Honestly one of my favorite Black Hills trips and this cabin was my favorite part!

The place was very beautiful and peaceful. Just what we were looking for in a quick getaway. Host was very accommodating and patient as we had some changes. Great place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Deer Meadow Lodge! The cabin was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. It fit our family of six perfectly and had plenty of space for everyone. We especially loved the outdoor décor throughout the house—it really added to the cozy Black Hills feel. The setting was beautiful and peaceful, and it was a great place to relax after a day of exploring. The host made everything easy and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

Mike was a great host and communicated every step of the way. The house was clean especially the kitchen. We really appreciated that all the pots and pans were clean and did not need an extra wipe down. The cabin was peaceful. Would recommend to other to stay here.

This cabin was great! It was a perfect fit for our family of all ages. Kitchen arrangement made it easy to have additional guests over for games and food. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the “loft room”was perfect to have a young child and a toddler sleep close by. The hot tub was a nice amenity for all! It was an overall great place to spend the holidays.

The lodge exceeded our expectations and made our trip unforgettable. It was cozy and inviting, complete with a gorgeous fireplace, abundant wildlife, and a charming, peaceful setting.If you’re looking for great food, we highly recommend the Sugar Shack—delicious meals and even more amazing people!

A beautiful cabin/house tucked away in a lovely wooded area. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. Fireplace, grill and hot tub were wonderful. All communication with our host was excellent. We chose the perfect place for our girls getaway and we definitely would stay here again!

We absolutely loved staying in this cozy, uniquely decorated mountain home! Clearly the owners spent many, many hours decorating it with intriguing hunting/country/mountain decor. Beds were cozy, loved the hot tub in the evening, nice and quiet area for walks. And the location was terrific for all our day adventures we took. Thank you!

Great place to stay! Nice to have a comfortable place to come back to after a long day out sightseeing. Beautiful walks in the mornings and evenings and the hot tub was a huge bonus. Conveniently close to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse and an awesome side by side rental place.Would 100% stay here again!

Amazing! This is a perfect get away in the hills. It is in a quiet location tucked away where you can see many stars! Hot tub was amazing and fit our whole group. The place itself was cozy and comfortable. We would stay again!

Deer Meadow Lodge was perfect. It’s nestled in the Black Hills with plenty of space inside and out. The furniture and decor was everything I had hoped for in a rustic cabin. We are from a large city so getting out in nature was such a joy for our family. Mr. Dressler was very attentive. He provided detailed driving instructions, including a map. He checked in to make sure our stay was what we expected. We would definitely book here again.

The house was very spacious, everything we needed and more. Watched the deer in the back yard most mornings and the hot tub was fantastic. Nice location as our base to explore the Black Hills and surrounding areas. Will definitely rent here again in the future!

This cabin is amazing. Very clean, a hot tub, spacious deck with grill and every amenity possible. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing place to stay! The cabin is just like you see in the pictures with wonderful decor which gives it a warm charming feeling. The deer surround the property in the morning and the evening. While sitting eating breakfast you are able to watch the deer right outside the window. Sit on porch in evening and the deer walk right into the yard. The only noises you hear are birds chirping and the hot tub if used. This place is kind of centered between Badlands, Devils Rock, and Mount Rushmore. A fantastic scenic drive to all places. If you are wanting a secluded quite peaceful place to rest and relax…this is the place to book! We will be back again! Thank you

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Deer Meadow! The home had everything a family would need to have an outstanding and memorable time. We also were close to South Dakota special areas including Deadwood, Lead, Spearfish Canyon, Custer Park, Rapid City. We enjoyed it all! We rode horses at Andy's in Lead; We enjoyed wine at Belle Jolie vineyard in Sturgis, Filet mignon at Alpine Inn in Hill City and so much more! We had daily visits from deer - and we had a snow day. The beautiful fireplace was put to good use!

We had a great time at the cabin. The location felt secluded, yet close to some amazing hikes. The cabin was very clean, well equipped, and the hot tub was so nice after a long day hiking. There’s something really peaceful about drinking morning coffee and watching deer all around! I would definitely stay here again, and would happily recommend this cabin to others.

We had a great stay. We enjoyed using the fireplace. We had a colder weekend, but we got out for a drive. Perfect location to take in a scenic drive on the back roads. The kitchen was fully stocked. Good beds, lots of things to look at on the walls.

Great location and place to stay for atv trail riding. Hot tub was nice but difficult to get in and out of. Maybe just rotating the tub so the steps go in at a better place. There was no place to step in that was flat so I had to sit on the ledge then lower yourself in. The seating area and kitchen was great for groups. The whole place could use a deep cleaning ( cob webs and dust on pictures and fixtures) but overall cleanliness was good. Very nice place with lots of interesting details to explore. Would stay again!

Cabin is amazingly decorated and prepared for your great outdoor getaway. Perfect for the family or your outdoor buddies to share. We would rent this cabin again if it's available the next time we're in the area. It was perfect.

The property location is beautiful. There were daily visits of deer and wild turkey which made it feel like we were staying on a nature preserve. Mike checked in with us and was prompt with responding to a minor concern. Would highly recommend the property.

Extremely quiet and relaxing

The decor makes you feel like you are in a museum. Wake each day and find something you haven't noticed before. Ver spacious with everything needed. Very well stocked. Mike is very responsive. Saw deer in the yard every morning. A stay here is one you won't forget.

Traveled on motorcycles and the gravel road was in great condition. Utilized the garage for parking which was nice as it rained later at night. Plenty of deck space for relaxing at the end of the day. Inside was comfortable and provided us with all our needs.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing and peaceful and Mike was great to deal with. We would definitely recommend this place. It had plenty of space for the 5 adults and 2 kids.

If you like the quietness of the country with lots of trees and the beautiful sounds of birds and animals, this is definitely the place for you. It was exactly what I needed for the end of our vacation. Pleasantly located between all the stuff we wanted to do. Absolutely serene. I loved how quiet it was, I could sit out on the patio for hours. The house had lots of extra pillows for comfort and space to lounge, the hot tub was wonderful, I just had an absolutely amazing time. I would definitely stay here again. The property owner is very communicative if you have any questions during your stay and left lots of information about things to do. It was great!! 😍

Very nice cabin, quiet and easy to find. Mike the owner was very good to work with. Checked with us to make sure all was good when we got there. Very comfortable furniture and a nice big deck with padded chairs and porch. The garage was a nice feature as well, nice 3 door garage. Very nicely decorated. Would highly recommend to anyone.
