DAYDREAM HIDEAWAY Cabin-
A Beautiful and home-like JUST renovated CABIN. (2/2023) with inviting and comfy decor throughout, a wrap around porch and expansive deck with fire pit. Your own private retreat nestled in the Smokey Mountains and surrounded by tall pines with plenty of level parking.

Please now OVERLOOK the bad reviews..!
… Basically, a wicked divorce filed w/ allegations and money mismanagement led to bad finances and as a result poor mgmt. but only temporarily..! Now that is over; the squeaky floors & lousy hot tub have been replaced, (at a cost of $17,000) this has been done as of 2/2023..!

This is a newly built luxury lodge on Bear Mountain Ln. 20-25 minutes to Dollywood (or the heart of Pigeon Forge) and/ or 30 minutes to the heart of Gatlinburg.
It’s secluded, and not on a Mountain stockpiled with cabins one after another. The one great advantage to being at this distance, you take the back roads in and the back roads out. If you’ve ever traveled to Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge during the high seasons, you’ll know how jampacked & frustrating the parkway can get. You avoid most all of it as this cabin triangulates the two cities and avoids the main causeway if you have a set destination in mind.
Basically it hits a sweet spot.

All the attractions like the ATVs, zip line courses, some great hiking adventures, a crazy “Tiger King” style petting zoo, and outdoor gravity park (Zorbi g) are all really close to this Cabin as well.

It’s a relatively easy drive from bottom road up the mountain. It’s your typical TN mountain meandering switchbacks and it winds but is easy enough for the last 6-7 minutes up the mountain. nothing like Chalet village in Gatlinburg. Parking for at least 6+ vehicles on a level area.

Driving up you get the feel of a real Lodge or Ranch . Pergola entry and split rail fence on either side. A great heavy duty wood PLAYGROUND, large enough for big kids and adults alike. Equipped with a dream catcher type tire swing, “pirate ship” swing, climbing wall, rope swing and 13 foot slide. The A frame swing is installed outside in the front yard for relaxing and watching the kids play.

The Front Porch area near the entrance is where you’ll locate the good sized Weber Grill for the grill master to do their work while kids sit on the actual swings and watch the master do their grilling.

Walking in you will find a custom kitchen w/ stainless appliances, fully stocked kitchen with anything your group may need. Granite counters, large granite island in the kitchen w/ 4 barstools for more seating. Next to the kitchen is a custom made (by local TN man) oak table with 4 benches. It seats at least 12-14. Flat screen TV and an electric fireplace included in living room. Two leather couches upstairs and unique seating to gather.

It boasts 3 master suite bedrooms plus 1 additional large bunk room for the kids/ children. Two of the master suites are upstairs and have their own large porch the length of the entire back of the house (super wide and long). The deck off the 2 upstairs master bedrooms share four rockers and tables for each couple to enjoy. Each master suite has its own flat screen TV, walk in closet & full-sized bathroom; w/ custom stonework/walk-in showers/granite.

Downstairs you will find another Master Suite with King Bed, flat screen TV and sitting area with rocker. The 2 downstairs bedrooms share a full- sized bathroom with shower and tub. Again, custom stonework in shower and granite counters. The house has NEW real wood floors (as of 2/2023) upstairs and the previous squeaky floor (often the aspect of bad reviews) has been torn out and replaced. All mattresses and pillows are Sealy Sleep, very comfy.

The 4th room (children’s bunk house) has 2 sets of double log bunk beds w/ twin on tops. The room has a flat screen TV on the wall and a big coffee table with games. Large walk in closet completes the room. Pack-n-play can be found in that closet

Downstairs consists of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a theater room, a custom whiskey barrel bar and game area. (think two large living areas; flowing from cozy hangout area with mini fridge onto entertainment, physical games and arcade gaming.

Area has a full- sized PING PONG Table.
Table top MULTI-CADE arcade game (200 games in one - vintage style). The large big screen smart TV downstairs has an original Xbox attached, and many games attached to it for even more retro entertainment. A large/ oversized Jenga can be found on the bar top as well

Walking out of the back lower level you’ll find a 5 person Nordic Retreat hot tub, and massive fire pit. Please refrain from use on windy nights and otherwise maintain good Fire Safty practices. Enjoy this cabin has a lot to offer.

Feel free to rummage the land for firewood, or to buy bundles from the nearest gas station. We actually recommend buying a few bundles and lighter fluid on your way in.

Tiny Home option/ Bonus note:

LIL’ HIDEAWAY -
Just down the ridge line is tiny home/ park cabin, that sleeps up to four and has its own private 3 person hot tub. It’s a one bedroom, one bathroom with a pull out sofa. Come fully stocked with all the cute amenities of an tiny home (approx. 470 ft.²).
If available and if interested,.. it rents for additional $120-$150 per night w/ a $50 cleaning fee per stay.

Note: It’s the only other property that you can visually see from the big cabin. You can only see the upper half of the tiny home (or less typically) and it sits opposite the playground area. All the windows of the tiny home face the other way, and mid tree-line (except for a small kitchen window). Both homes sit on their own and separate 1.5 respective acres, or a lil’ over 3 mountainous acres altogether.

It was a beautiful property. We love staying there. Everything was clean. We came out for a Jeep invasion and had a blast. Everything it said it was there. We'll go back to those property year after year.

Start with the good - The house was great for our group. We loved the spacing, the play yard got a lot of use. We used the firepit and had a visitor wanting to join us! (racoon came out of the woods). The ping pong table was a hit for the kids in our group (young and old!). We were notified on day 3 of our trip that we needed to conserve water or we would run out. Back and forth with Joe, the owner, and he said for us not to worry - he would keep an eye on it. Well, we ran out of water the morning before our checkout. No cleaning of dishes, no brushing of teeth, no flushing of toilets. It was a major problem. Joe was notified and water was promised by 12pm or thereabout. We had plans for this last day of our vacation and these plans were interrupted. We ended up 2 hours on the phone with VRBO to move our booking for 1 night. Joe did refund our last night. Joe has a great place away from all the busy of a vacation town. He just needs to make sure the water is provided or offer the cabin for smaller groups - our group was 11 persons. This vacation rental would have gotten a 5 star rating if the water issue did not present itself.

The cabin was nice and clean, although wasn't quite ready for us when we arrived at check in time. We really enjoyed the game room, and the kids loved the downstairs bunk room. Kitchen was nice and beds were comfy. Only downside was that we had a large party and although the dining table is large, there is no space to walk around it if you pull out away from the wall to use both sides. Hot tub was a little small for such a large group... only accommodating 4 ppl. But we had a great time. Would recommend.

I loved the property. We had 3 couples and an almost 2 and 4 year old. Each person had their own space. Playground was perfect for the kids. Had everything we needed. It was a little scary riding up the mountain but was totally worth it.

Loved the location - tucked away from hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but 25-30 minutes from both. Getting to both places was all back roads and we didn't deal with a ton of traffic. House was fine. Pictures were taken a few years ago when things were newer. Playground is weathered, no mulch - but kids didn't seem to mind. Couch now has a slipcover on it. Carpet on stairs has seen better days. Some lightbulbs out. The listing advertised a well-stocked kitchen. It had lots of plates and new pots & pans, but lacked mixing bowls/baking dishes/storage containers. We did like the coffee maker and appreciated the grill being ready with propane! Given that the cabin is 1/2 hour from town, we planned to cook every morning and night so the lack of casserole dishes, mixing bowls and storage containers was annoying. Towels are provided, but are the smallest / thinnest towels you've ever seen. We had a snafu upon arrival in which the house wasn't clean. It sounds like an honest mistake with calendars not syncing correctly for housekeeper. Within 2 hours of arrival, the housekeeper was there and the house was spotless when she was done. Since we met the housekeeper and discussed the kitchen's needs, she came back later with more cookware for us and replaced light bulbs. Owner did a good job with fixing the cleaning issue on day 1, but it started off our trip on a sour note. Maybe the wear & tear wouldn't have bothered us if it had been a normal check-in.

Love the location after you get up the winding mountain. The linens were old and worn. No where near enough towels. Towel rack holes in wall in one bathroom. Furniture needs cleaned and all of the outdoor woods needs stained and protected. For the price of the stay, quality or condition of these items , really not acceptable. The lower level had great entertainment options. The size of cabin was great for three families but no way could accommodate 14 unless you sleep like in a college dorm. The toilet paper was worse than I had in Africa.

I believe this was once a very nice short-term vacation rental property. We selected it because of its positive reviews, size & amenities …which seemed perfect for a 7 day & our family of 10. The space was fun for the adults & kids, & the open concept kitchen/dining/fam room provided for togetherness without being cramped. Unfortunately, we experienced a several issues that made our stay less than what was expected. The house wasn’t ready for our 4pm check-in until 8pm. Then the next morning the water tank ran dry after only a few showers, and there were only 5 bath towels in the entire house. Toward the end of our stay, the master suite lost power because of a bad breaker that wouldn’t reset. Overall, the property itself isn’t being maintained and didn’t match the pictures in the VRBO listing. The playscape grounds consisted of weeds & exposed plastic vs kid-friendly ground cover; the decks & outdoor furniture were dirty, worn & stain/paint was chipping vs clean & fresh in photos. There were big piles of sawdust on the window ledges indicative of wood boring insect infestation. Broken kitchen drawer & shelf, unusable/broken sofa bed, & front door & furniture were beat up. The water tank was filled right away & the cleaning people brought us 3 more towels. The power issue wasn’t remedied. The host was less than apologetic & only offered excuses & insinuations of blame. The (tattered) written instructions that were left for us indicated check-out time as 10:00am wit

My family and I really enjoyed this property for our stay. We had 4 adults and 6 kids ranging from 2-15. Everyone had a wonderful time. The game room was a hit with everyone. Many feelings were hurt on the ping pong table! The hot tub was nice. It is a tad on the small size for a large group but we didn’t all want to go in so it worked out. The property was very clean, comfortable, and communication with the host was quick. The road to the property is small and very windy so be aware if that’s a a concern to you.

This is a very good cabin for families with school aged children. Our grandkids loved the playground area and having their own bedroom full of bunk beds! The cabin has a large open layout for the kitchen and living room. The kids had a ball decorating cookies and making crafts at the big table. Bedrooms were cozy and the bathrooms were beautiful. They obviously had been updated recently. The bathroom doors, however would not lock. Probably wear and tear.Im sure the owner will have them repaired as the cabin is well taken care of.
