We sincerely enjoyed the tiny house feel of the cabin, perfect for a weekend stay for 2 people. Loved being able to see all the wildlife, as well as interact with the chickens and Jasper the dog. Damon and Tanya were so kind and polite and really gave us room to just rest and enjoy the quiet. Amazing fireworks show for the July 4th holiday, even though they were delayed a day due to rain. We really loved sitting on the second story balcony and just listening to the nature sounds! Clean, quiet, comfortable and affordable. Would definitely do this again! It was also very wonderful that their house rules sheet included a listing of things to do in the area - helpful when you're not from there. Easy parking and access, and just the right distance from town that you can enjoy the quiet.

Wonderfully charming little cozy place to stay. Everything was neat and tidy very unique layout with a fabulous tiny wood burning fire place.

My family and I loved the cabin. It was a great escape from our busy screen-time lives. We cooked in the cozy kitchen, played games by the fireplace and spent time in Winona.

Had a great time very cozy it was only a night stay but still very comfortable there. I’ll go back again.

Very cute cabin! Just the right amount of rustic...reminded us of making forts as kids! Great experience!

This is our second visit and we're thinking about a third. For us, it's a relaxing space with all we need as a base to travel around the area, read a book, or sit on the patio or balcony and watch the birds. Tanya, Damon (and Jasper) are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed chatting with them.

Host was very responsive... Nice comfortable cabin. We enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely no way to get any luggage up to the third floor where the beds are. Stairs so steep and high up it was extremely creepy and scary. Didn’t even end up staying there. Went for a hotel in town. Host wouldn’t refund or help at all

We enjoyed saying here and definitely would stay again. Everything was as described. Close to anything we might need but also felt secluded. The host was communicable and was available if we had any issues.

Rustic Living.

There were definitely some pros and cons. I’ll start with the pros … My friend and I had a wonderful time, especially the first day. The cabin was clean with fresh bedding and towels. The location was in the woods but not far from the town with plenty of parks to go to nearby. Although the cabin is adjacent to the main house, we felt like we had some privacy. Now for the cons. On our second full day, the shower head broke when we tried to adjust it. It clearly didn’t break from us and had mineral damage. Regardless, we were forced to pay for this. Which may have even been forgiven if the owner hadn’t been so rude with her language in the messages to us. On this same day at night, we also saw a mouse running around on the first and second floors.Overall, as long as no issues come up in which you have to communicate with the owner, you’ll probably be fine. The cabin is VERY small and narrow and the attic ceiling is lower than it appears in the photos, and you aren’t as secluded as you might think from the photos, but I feel like the price reflects many of these imperfections.

Everything is as promised and we enjoyed the house. Enjoyed talking with Tanya and Jasper and one of the chickens visited us on the balcony. We also enjoyed walking by the creek.It is on the list of properties we want to come back to next year.

Weather was better than good for autumn in Minnesota, lots of trails to walk, only disappointment was the main reason we went down, to check out the Maritime Art Museum, not impressed.

Great stay at this cabin just outside Winona. Place was advertised, and was everything expected. Very nice property owner. I would definitely stay here again.
