Stayed Oct 27, 2022Cabin was well stocked with pretty much anything we would have needed. The hot chocolate for the Keurig was a nice touch while we waited for the cabin to warm up. We like staying out in the country so the 20-25 minute drive into Black Mountain and Asheville was not an issue for us. Wish we could have stayed a few more days as we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the back porch and fire pit.

Stayed Mar 15, 2026The cabin was great. It’s in a beautiful area; there are houses around, but very little noise or traffic. The hosts were communicative and easy to work with. I want to come back to see all the rhododendrons in bloom.

Stayed Jul 27, 2025The cottage was everything it was set up to be. The babbling brook next to the cabin was a delight. It was very secluded and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable. Everything that you could possibly need was there at your disposal. Having coffee on the front porch in the rocking chairs and watching the hummingbirds was most enjoyable! I would highly recommend staying here if you want serenity

Stayed Jun 24, 2025This cottage was everything we were hoping for. It was private and very peaceful. With the partial lane closures on the mountain, the drive to visit Asheville was around 40 minutes, a little longer than we were expecting, but the beauty of this little cottage was well worth it. We very much enjoyed the back porch in the evenings and sat out front by the creek in the mornings. It was really nice. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. However, the drip coffee maker was very dirty to the point that we couldn’t use it. The well that holds the water was completely black with slime. Even after rinsing and wiping it out, we couldn’t get out all the sludge and didn’t feel it was safe to drink from. There was a Keurig, but we didn’t know ahead of time to bring k cups and the house didn’t have any on hand. This was a bummer because we had to go into black mountain for coffee, which wasn’t ideal because we wanted to take it slow and enjoy the cottage while it was cool in the morning. Also, there were some dead bugs on the floor by the shelving by the fridge. Overall a really sweet and restful experience. Would we stay at this cottage again? Absolutely. Would we recommend it to others? Definitely. We still rate this place 5 stars, but will bring our own coffee maker next time.

Stayed Jun 20, 2025Wow! Such a beautiful, roomy home. Amazing open kitchen, large bedroom with a king-size bed comfortable ensuite bathroom. The surrounding lush forest babbling brook created a perfectly peaceful oasis. Close to many towns which makes the location ideal. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs some RR with options to explore the surrounding mountain communities.

Stayed Jun 15, 2025We loved this quaint cabin. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed hikes at Catawba falls and Lookout trail in Montreat. One of the top 5 best meals we’ve ever eaten was had at Bush Farmhouse in Black mountain. Enjoyed touristy things in Asheville. Cabin was comfortable, peaceful, off the beaten path, but not too far away from things to do. Water from the tap tasted great and kitchen was well stocked. We wished we had brought cooking oil and a few more toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body wash), but there was TONS of towels(kitchen, hand, washcloths), bedding, blankets, hand/dish soap, spices, and kitchen gadgets. And CLEAN! Also a washer & dryer so that was great since traipsing around the mountain can get mucky. Porch, bubbling stream, and sleeping with windows open were just a sliver of peace we experienced this vacation! Would def stay here again!

Stayed Nov 27, 2024My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed. When the weather was warm enough we loved sitting in the swing on the screened porch listening to the soothing music of the babbling brook. When the weather turned cold, we were warm and cozy in the cottage. Loved having Alexa and Spotify provide us with our favorite music. We will be back when the weather warms up to be able to open the windows to the sound of the brook.

Stayed Sep 22, 2024Not enough space here to describe how wonderful this cabin was! Felt very rustic as far as location, but the cabin contained updated amenities, and felt like a home away from home. The photos truly do not do this place the justice it deserves - it’s beautiful. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Stayed Sep 15, 2024Property was perfect. Secluded on a beautiful wooded property with stream running next to it. Lots of outdoor places to enjoy the view of the woods. Open front porch across the length of the house. On the back of the house is a large well furnished screen-in porch. Great for morning coffee or in the evening. Cabin cutely decoraated and well stocked. Lots of hiking/fishing areas close. Also, close to Asheville and the Biltmore Estates for shopping, drinking and dining. The perfect spot to enjoy both worlds. Located closed to theBiltmore estates

Stayed Sep 4, 2024We have never stayed in a cabin or apartment that was as well equipped as this one. Everything that we needed for a comfortable stay was there and everything was either clearly labeled or written directions were available. The location was great. We were tucked into a beautiful woods setting and yet were close enough to take daily trips out to interesting neighboring towns, go hiking in parks, and, of course, visit The Biltmore. We highly recommend this accommodation!

Stayed Aug 30, 2024We were so pleased with this cabin! The pictures don't do it justice! It was much roomier than the pictures let on. We loved the location away from everyone in the mountains. The checkin process was a breeze! My husband and I loved the screened in back porch. The location to Chimney Rock State Park and Lake Lure was also a plus! I must also mention that the cabin was spotlessly clean and the owners have thought of everything from the initial booking to checkout. We hope to return next year!

Stayed Aug 15, 2024We were fortunate to stay at this cottage for a long weekend and it was just the escape we needed. My personal favorite spot was the swing on the screened in porch. It was a lovely spot to sit and read, and listen to the evening thunderstorms we had. The cottage was great, and honestly it was the most well-equipped rental I have ever stayed in. Anything we thought of that we might have needed was available, and that is what makes a stay away from home so comfortable. We were able to go spend time in Black Mountain and Hendersonville, with some shorter visits to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Village, as well as a few hikes. We really maximized our time away, and honestly we are already planning our next visit!

Stayed Aug 3, 2024Beautiful week at this cabin. We hiked, visited Chimney Rock and Lake Lure nearby (beautiful morning walks), did yoga and visited art galleries in Black Mountain. Lots of hiking and reading books while listening to the stream on the screened porch. House had everything needed and was in a perfect location (not hard to get to yet still quiet). I love this little part of the world and look forward to coming back next summer!

We were very comfortable and really appreciated the cleanliness of the property. The bed is very comfortable. We would stay here again for sure. Thank you for sharing your gem.
