Cozy two bedroom log cabin on the Chena River near town.

Location was good The place had a musty smell and the couch is completely worn out no comfortable place to sit also the same for the mattress on the bed

We visited Fairbanks during the time in summer when sunlight is 24/7. The cabin is clean, spacious, comfortable and has huge windows. Fairbanks is amazing. Owners are wonderful. The Interior of Alaska is incredible. There was so much to see and do. Riverboat Cruise and Local Village Tour was exceptional. Everybody finds gold in their pan in the Gold Dredge 8 Historic Train Tour. During the Local Village Tour you can pet the dogs. There's a live demo of dog mushing. Ask them about their TX-sized polar bears. There was a determined, patient, genuine kindness wherever we went. The non-stop sunlight takes the notion of jet lag to a whole new level but we liked it and that's why we went there in the first place. Thank you so much!

It was a very lovely cabin

Other than the bed sheets being a bit dusty everything else was great. Close to everything we wanted to do and close to the city to have access to nessary shopping. It had a laundry machine and detergent so we could wash the comforters our self. The cabin also had fishing poles, and lawn game activities so you can be entertained. It was cozy and the heater works very well, but it is a bit loud when it turns on. All in all, a very good experience.

This is a nice place with a cabin feel and 3 different sleeping areas. It is stocked for cooking, has books and other entertainment plus a beautiful view of the river. I thought it was more secluded when we booked it but it worked well for us. We went to the Arctic Circle and Chena hot springs. Long drive to the circle but Chena hot springs less than an hour away and totally worth it. Martha communicated everything clearly.

Very scenic and peaceful. Could have been a little cleaner but well stocked. We loved it.

This is a very well built log cabin. It looks and feels comfortably rustic. It's a nice quiet neighborhood and backs up to the beautiful river. 10 out of 10 we will stay here again.

This little place could be so nice if some time was spent cleaning it up. The kitchen was dirty. The microwave was very dirty, some of the glasses and cups had lip prints on them, the shelves were covered in dust and food. The carpet was very dirty (turned my socks black). Really nice view of the river, picnic table, lots of birds. Very quite. But needs lots of TLC.

Nice quiet cabin

Great location and we enjoyed watching the river when we had time to relax. It was quiet and exactly what our family needed for a long weekend.

This was a very eclectic cabin with beautiful views. Very conveniently located to the attractions and eating establishments of Fairbanks. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The host was easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this quaint little cabin.

This was a lovely booking and exactly what we were looking for. Warm, clean, and comfortable, and a lovely view of the river. Mardee was responsive, prompt, and pleasant. We hope to return!!!

We did not meet our host in person, but she was responsive to all our texts and emails. We liked the cabin for its authentic Alaskan feel and it's great location on the Chena River. It was handy to downtown Fairbanks and my Brothers house in the Chena Ridge area.

This is a cozy, old-fashioned log cabin with a million dollar view of the Chena River. It was the perfect spot for us to come home to after our daily adventures.

We loved this cozy 1950s log cottage. Views of the river were great from the living room and the back yard. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice location for visiting the Fairbanks area. Our only complaint: The owner got her dates mixed up, so the house wasn't cleaned and ready for us when we arrived - it really needed a deep cleaning/dusting too, overall.

Charming cabin right along the river. Enjoyed just relaxing and getting rested. Perfect spot for us.

We love staying at this cabin right on the river. Great view watching people on the river. Easy access to stores. Owner makes checkin easy. We’ve stayed here multiple times.

Very quaint rustic little cabin. It could sleep more than what we thought. Not fancy but super homey and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Very nice quiet neighborhood and on the Chena River. It was right outside the living room windows. Great place to take the family and unwind. Nice big yard. I would stay there again definitely!!!

We had a great time in the area and this cabin was perfect for us with a kitchen amd laundry. cozy and convenient

This is a nice place to stay. It was peaceful and in walking distance to one of our favorite breakfast places. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows.

After arriving, we were shocked that the property was listed as a vacation rental. The musky and moldy smell inside the cabin was overpowering. The furniture was very old, dusty, and stained in some spots. There were also stains on the ancient carpet. The bedding was also very old and the pillows paper thin. When looking under the hood over the stove we were shocked to find that it appeared as though it had never been cleaned. The converted garage to a bedroom was chilly with questionable wiring above head of the bed. Regrettably, for the reasons stated above, we were unable to stay in the cabin and had to seek other lodging.

Beautiful views from enormous living room windows. Pleasant and responsive host. Beds are comfy and the kitchen is very well stocked with cookware and basic food needs. The heat works well and keeps all but the converted garage bedroom toasty. Only complaints are that the towels and upholstered furnishings are worn and need to be replaced. The carpet could use cleaning too. That might help reduce the musty smell when you first walk in.. That being said, we would definitely want to stay here again. The area is safe and attractive. It’s a good location, fair price and really is a cozy cabin.

Enjoyed our stay

My hiking club and I came up for denali park and the northern lights, and this cabin was a great home base. Plenty warm. Cute open inside and cute front/back yard where we could see the sunrise and frolick in the snow. Super close to the airport and town too!

The cabin and property was picture perfect. It was a wonderful vist and the memories will last a life time. We couldnt asked for a better place to stay. Looking forward to a return trip

This is really a great property. It's an older cabin, but is very comfortable and has everything you would normally need. The location is great with stores and a coffee shop within walking distance, not to mention close to the college. The listing really undersell the river view and the close proximity to the river, it’s really quite beautiful. Also, we got an amazing Aurora Borealis show in the backyard because there is very little light pollution at this property. We can’t wait to go back.

Location and setting were great with large windows overlooking the Chena river. Restaurants were a short drive away. Full well stocked kitchen with snacks and breakfast items. Washer and dryer. Although the cabin was comfortable, some items were well worn and could stand to be upgraded and the cabin itself would benefit from a thorough cleaning.

Great location , great host and awesome location !! I would return just for the view out the back windows !!
