Three Rivers Resort is ideally situated in the heart of Almont, CO, just 20 minutes south of Crested Butte and 10 minutes north of Gunnison.
Kingfisher (Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.) Cabins 39-44 are identical styles with cabin 49 being similar but having a slightly different layout. These tiny home “mountain chalets” offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect for families. There is a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. If anyone is very big or tall, these may not be the best cabin choice. *Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping loft is high but a small child could potentially climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.
• Approximately 400 square feet
• The bedroom has a Queen size bed and the loft has 2 full size mattresses on the floor
• Full size sofa in living room (not a hide-a-bed).
• Covered open deck with patio table/chairs
• Nearby community fire ring may be used
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, hairdryer, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), laundry detergent, shampoo and toiletries
• Parking is somewhat limited in these cabins and is limited to 2 vehicles per unit or a vehicle and small trailer (not longer than a full size pick-up truck) unhitched and parked side by side with the vehicle. Additional vehicles and longer trailers may require parking separate from the cabin and fees may apply.
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional $20/night/dog, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 4. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time. For exact rates, enter your trip dates in the availability search.
**If online search results produce a limited listing of available units for your dates, please call us as availability can change quickly. For one night only or arrival within the next 2 days, you must contact the office directly.**

The property is very relaxing. The views are spectacular. The staff on the property was very nice and very eager to help with anything. The whole of the property is kept very clean and organized. The cabin is well stocked with any/all needed supplies for preparing meals. The only recommendation I would have for the unit we stayed in is to replace the broken and bent blinds to match the condition of the rest of the unit.

my partner and I love to tent camp, but as it gets to the winter months, it’s getting difficult to do with our dog. Our stay at Almont was perfect! It had everything we need and it felt so luxurious having a fridge and running water. The facilities were really well-maintained in process and every staff member we talked to was so kind. We have already started planning our next trip back.

Nice clean cabin. Missing a few utensils in kitchen. Afternoon sun causes it to get hot in cabin & takes a long time to cool. Fan in bedroom would help. Some window blinds need to be replaced. Outside faucet not working. But we enjoyed our stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice time overall. We felt pur cabin was a little beat up (broken mini blinds) but overall nice. We did eat dinner at the restaurant and were disappointed with the burgers and felt that the prices were high.

The Tiny Home large enough for 6 people imo, as it had 1 queen sized bed, a couple twin mattresses on the upper level, as well as a big comfy couch. There are several units but the community is relatively quiet. It also had a full kitchen, bathroom with tub, washer/dryer and all the cooking utinsels you could need, and parking for about 3 vehicles. Each unit has an outdoor grate grill, but there is a store and restaurant on the grounds as well. The only quasi-negative, and I have to preface this with that I have a bad back, the Queen bed was marginal. I’d still stay there again, but would bring along an inflatable mattress, as well as memory foam.

This was such an amazing home to stay at. It was warm and cozy. All the things we needed were already there and ready to use. Instructions for the property and rules were clear. Home was clean and organized. All the outdoor activities were so easily accessible. Thank you all for an exceptional stay. We will be back!

The tiny house was very clean and the “park” well managed… but… I reserved a tiny house in a row of tiny houses. What we got was a tiny house in a row of RV set-ups. Not quite ‘as advertised’. RVs come/go with noise and diesel fumes. I would not recommend #49 tiny house unless that is the setting you want because that is the setting it is in.
