Stayed May 9, 2025The property was extremely dirty. Not maintained at all. Floors were soft. Carpenter bees swarmed the outside of the house. Decks and outside furniture were filthy. Curtains falling off the rods, kitchen cabinet doors would not close. Lower level was a non finished basement with a bed in the middle of the room open to furnace and ac. Mattresses were worn and needed to replaced. Overcharged for one small dog. Would not recommend this property at all. The only good things were a nice fireplace and location. Other than this, the place was a dump. Very disappointed.

Stayed Jan 16, 2026Host was very attentive and had the cabin ready for us. Since we were arriving late with kids they put the heater on and turned on some lights to help us get settled in.

Stayed May 15, 2025Was here for long weekend. Great location and great ptoperty. River is very relaxing. Take Bairds Creek Road to avoid construction at Broadstone Road. Seems to be somewhat of a short cut.

Stayed Jun 20, 2024This lovely cottage is so close to everything you may want to do, but it is easy to spend an entire day sitting by the river or on the huge deck overlooking the water. Plenty of room for 2 couples. Having the extra downstairs bath was great. Would be happy to return next summer!

Stayed Apr 2, 2021Great location on the watuga river and close to tweetsie and town. Lots of great places to eat. The cabin was clean but in need of repairs lights in bedrooms don't work and our first night was 18 degrees and the heat quit working on our first night. The owner did call a repair man but failed to fix it he made things worse the fan blew cold air all night again. We decided after two nights of no sleep we cut our vacation short to go back home because we didn't want to freeze again with our newborn child. Was disappointed to say the least. Over 800.00 for a vacation rental we couldn't even get comfortable in. Based on other reviews the lighting and heating and air seemed to be the biggest complaint it should be addressed.

Stayed Mar 24, 2021Cozy River Cabin in Boone NC was an enjoyable stay. The only thing that would have made it better is if it didn't rain every day.
