The cabin is rustic and just what we wanted. The shower is small, but has plenty of hot water. It's a 2 mile drive to the town of Packwood which has a few fun dining options and a great coffee shop. It's about 15 miles to the national park. The kitchen was well appointed. There was plenty of firewood and a nice firepit. Alas, after cutting much kindling, we discovered a burn ban and did not get to enjoy it. The communications with the host were excellent. We would stay here again.

We found the bed very comfortable in this cute clean cabin. We forgot to take advantage of the little outdoor seating area in the back, though next time it won’t be overlooked. And though Packwood is quite small, we had have to say we had some of the best enchiladas I’ve had in a very long time - and I’m from San Antonio! Kudos to Nachos! All restaurants and grocery store, gas station are all pretty close - Not walkable, but very convenient.

Very cute cabin! Not secluded like you might think it’s in a row of 5 little cabins. Property is well kept with a private fire circle out back and location is just a short drive to town with a few shops and restaurants (the Packwood Brewery was a great little evening out and the air stream ice cream trailer was an extra treat!) The inside of the cabin was clean with plenty of amenities (kitchenware and fresh linens/towels). We all agreed a few updates would go along way especially in the bathroom but overall a very pleasant stay. Oh and there is a wood burning fireplace which let off a lot of heat and made the nights in cozy!

This was a great little cabin. It was easy to find and it was easy to get to Mt. Rainier National Park (our primary reason for being in the area). The cabin is small but was comfortable for the 2 of us. We especially enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the mornings.

Great location! Very close to Mt. Ranier NP. The cabin is a bit smaller than it looks in photos and is just outside of town next to a handful of other cabins. There was not much hot water while we were there. Other than that, it was a very convenient place to stay for a couple nights while visiting the park.

A small stand alone cabin that was very clean and extremely well supplied. Had everything one could ask for and then some. Rustic and beautiful.

Cabin is run down and photos make it look much better than it is. Watching TV at 9:30 pm and a rat came through a hole in the wall, saw us and went back into the wall! Left a message with the owner and didn't get a call back till 6:30 the next morning. Had to stuff a towel in the hole and hope the rat didn't come back overnight! John, the owner came by and sealed up the hole that day. We asked for a partial refund and the response was Well that's not going to happen. Then he sent a text that he had a rodent guy come after we left and he didn't find any sign of rats and that the cabin doesn't have a rat problem! All you have to do is look for droppings behind the TV and around the tub rim under the soap rack! Really disgusting and the response from John made it sound like we were lying about the rat problem! Unbelievable!

Property was beautiful and quiet. We were seemingly the one ones around which was wonderful. March get away! Only thing we noticed was a lack of blankets, the one comforter on the bed helped but for lounging on the couch it had to migrate with us. John was very responsive to my inquires and was very kind. We had family stop by for a few hours and John was very accommodating for that. Thank you for a great stay!

This tiny cabin is perfect for a ski weekend. It has everything that you need for a comfortable stay - cookware, bedding, towels, pantry basics, movies and games. It was cozy, easy to access, very comfortable bed, and a perfect place to land after a long day of skiing.

We were so very excited for a birthday getaway. What we got was a cabin with no WiFi (as promised), bugs in the cabin (flying gnats) everywhere, filthy surfaces and floors (not just a day or two of dust), not at all what the photos on the website promote. Very disappointed so left the next morning rather than staying a second night. :(

A bit more rustic and smaller than I expected. Though the bed and couch and recliner were very comfortable. The kitchen was also well stocked. The unit appears to be in the middle of being renovated. Some baseboards were missing. Walls were partially painted. The bathroom needs work. It was dirty around the tub where it met the wall. The shower ceiling appeared to be moldy in one of the corners. There was also an odd musty odor in the cabin. It could be from the wood burning stove. It was hot when we were there so appreciated the wall AC unit. Overall a very mixed review.

The cabin is in a great location and close to the National Park. It’s small, as stated in the description, but secluded and everything you’d need. We would stay there again especially to visit the town elk that came into the yard!

The cabin looked run down on the outside. Other cabins around, looked abandoned. Inside the cabin overall looked Okay.. it could be cleaner. The rugs look like they hadn’t been vacuumed, and we found several hairs in the bedding. One, very interesting fact was that the attic was closed off by a black plastic. That was half open. It was very creepy. There was some mattresses up there and some locked suitcases. It was very strange. Owner should disclose this and their listing to avoid people, feeling freaked out. The bad was very uncomfortable. The pull out couch was hard, but better than the bed. The area of the cabin was in a nice quiet neighborhood. I would not be staying there again. Or would recommend it to anyone.

This is a very cute little cabin. It’s a little small I think for four people, but it does have the bed space. Would have liked a few more curtains on the windows for privacy, even though it’s pretty secluded. Overall, it was nice and cozy.

The issues noted below were also written in the host's guestbook by other renters (and were not torn out yet) 1) Ants crawling all over the tub, numerous dead ants on the windowsills 2) Instructions to enter house had 2 different door codes in the email, that took a bit to figure out 3) Caretaker/cleaner (Beverly) listed in the instructions has not been under contract with the owner for at least 2 years. However they were very kind and brought us a portable heater for the bedroom. She said this happens every so often as the owner has not updated the information in a long time. VRBO said heat is not listed in the property amenities so they could not do anything for me. 4) The biggest issue I have is with a host who lives 2 hours from the house, sending outdated/incorrect information and unreachable to resolve even minor situations. VRBO was also unable to contact the owner, and at the time of this review no communications or apologies. This property has potential, but until the owner steps up and makes things right, I would not recommend anyone renting this property.
