Lazy River is a cozy & comfortable, updated & redecorated log cabin that sits right on the riverbank & overlooks the Little Pigeon River, where fishing, tubing, swimming, wading & kayaking are accessible right from the backyard. There is a safety handrail on the path that goes right to the river. Wild Bear Tubing is only 1 minute from Lazy River, there you can rent a tube & enjoy 2 to 3 hours relaxing on the river.....you can even bring your dog along on the river float excursion.

This beautiful log cabin is private from other cabins & is conveniently located to I-40 & all the activities of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, & the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and is located right off a main flat paved road. There are NO steep-winding-white-knuckle-nail-biting mountain roads to travel to this cabin.

There are ZERO steps to walk onto the deck & enter the living room on the main-ground-level living/dining/kitchen area, master bedroom/ master bath.

The ground level is an open floor plan that has a living/dining/ kitchen area with a stone fireplace with remote-controlled logs that can be used year-round for heat or for a romantic ambiance. The living room has a 48 TV, ROKU, large DVD movie library, ceiling fan, leather sofa, & 2 chairs. French doors from the living room go out onto a covered porch with a porch swing & rocking chairs that overlook the Little Pigeon River. The porch is gated for the safety of pets & kids.

The fully equipped kitchen has updated appliances that include a range, microwave, dishwasher & refrigerator. You will have plenty of cookware & dishes for stay-at-home meals. There is also a toaster, blender, slow cooker, Keurig, & regular coffee maker. Granite countertops & an abundance of kitchen cabinets, a bagel toaster, blender, Keurig & regular coffee maker.

The master bedroom is on the main ground level & has a king-size bed, a large whirlpool-jetted tub, a 32” TV, ROKU, & a ceiling fan. There is a large adjoining master bath with a walk-in shower, vanity sink, large hanging clothes closet, an armoire for folded clothes, multiple wall hooks, & a hairdryer.

A spiral stairway with a safety gate in the living room leads to the lower level of the cabin. There you will find 2 private bedrooms separated by a full bath with a tub/shower combo. One bedroom is queen & the other bedroom is full. Also, a game room with a futon for extra sleeping space for kids, a full-size pool table, board games, & a stackable washer & dryer. This room leads onto the lower private covered porch, which has a hot tub overlooking the river, which is available for year-round use. This porch is gated and leads to the backyard that overlooks the river & has a stone fire pit when you want to just kick back & enjoy the outdoors or roast marshmallows, s'mores, & hot dogs. Access to the river is from the lower-level deck or the back backyard to go fishing, wading, tubing, or kayaking. There is a hand-railed path that leads right to the river from the backyard.

Guests say that the LOWER-LEVEL bedrooms are so quiet, it is like sleeping in a cave. LOWER-LEVEL BEDROOMS ARE RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE REQUIRING TOTAL QUIET SLEEP.

This awesome log cabin is right off a main road & has a private concrete driveway with a large parking area that will accommodate several cars & parking right at the door without any steps to enter the porch or cabin. A park-style charcoal grill is located by the front porch, making it convenient for grilling.

Both main-level & lower-level porches are covered, gated, and very private & overlook the Little Pigeon River.

The owner texted me on Saturday to ask how things were. I didn’t respond due to all of us being at a tournament all day. I did text her Sunday morning when we left to let her know that the cabin was cute & quaint but dirty. There was bird poo on a wall & on the mantle. Dried on stuff on the floor in the master, dried liquids & sticky stuff on the table, dusty knickknacks & dusty under beds, toothpaste spray on walls & mirrors in bathrooms & dirty dishes in the cabinet. I even sent her pictures. Her response back to me was basically blaming me for the place being dirty. She stated I should’ve told her on Saturday when she text me. IDK about you but I do not like someone in our rentals when we’re gone. At that point what difference would it have made? She stated she had just been there for 5-6 days painting and cleaning. So I guess I have to assume that she was the one that left the place dirty. I told her I wasn’t going to leave a review because I didn’t want to hurt her business but that was before she made me feel like I was to blame for everything. All I wanted was a sincere apology, but that’s not what we got. The place looks like it’s out in the middle of the woods but is actually on a main road. The driveway appears flat, but it is not & is hard to get in & out of. The outdoor decks were dusty, not pollen & cobwebs. I wish I could post text & pictures we sent her. It’s still a cute little place but you may need to clean first. Place wasn’t worth the cost being dirty.

This place was as described. The driveway is fine once you figure it out. We would pull in and reverse out to the street. Such cute decorations and fully stocked. I would suggest a toaster, not a big deal. My boys enjoyed the pool table and having the bottom to their selves. Short drive to attractions. The cows across the river were fun to watch while drinking my morning coffee.

Property is exactly as described. Bed was very comfortable. Hot water’s hot, water pressure was very good for showering, kitchen fully stocked and the property was very clean inside and out. Both porches very cozy to relax. The fish are there but we had no luck. This place is best for lounging and served as a nice home base with easy roads and close to everything/DG and gas stations. Do not recommend if you have a high energy dog breed as there is not much of a yard for running, fetch, or exercising. The listing is exactly as described and very clean - Geri was a very accommodating host even offering us an early check in when we asked!

Pros: The home was very clean. Location was close to all the activities and shopping the area provides. Our host was very quick to communicate. Cons: The hard 4:00 check in was delayed by 40 minutes waiting on housekeepers to exit. Exiting the driveway was difficult do to traffic and visibility. Limitation of visibility is compounded by vehicles in next door cabin #1 depending upon how they choose to park in the adjacent area at driveway entrance.

The cabin was great. The one issue we encountered Geri was quick to resolve. Getting in and out of the driveway was a challenge at first but got easier during the stay. Would recommend for a nice getaway!

Loved it! There were some windy roads we didn’t expect and it was tricky in and out of the driveway. We never did find the dvd player but overall a great place! The pictures of the property are spot on. Thanks Geri!

We had an amazing time at the Lazy River cabin. We had one minor issue but Geri was quick to respond and resolve our issue. She was very polite and easy to work with. The cabin was in the perfect location, close to all the attractions but still far away to feel secluded. We enjoyed our 1 week stay

This is a first for me, I have never had this issue and most definitely have never wrote a bad review but Within the first hour of being at this cabin we found another cabin and left. It was disgusting!! It had dried/dead bugs EVERYWHERE!! It had spider webs all over the place. A Very very rude owner. The house was hot due to being unable to turn the air down because supposedly the unit would freeze up. The list goes on and on. We was lucky to had found a amazing cabin and owner the same night instead of having to come back home and ruin our vacation.

It was very comfortable. Enjoyed having the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms downstairs. It allowed adults and kids to have their own spaces and privacy. The spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge for our granddaughter who was in a leg brace. They enjoyed the river as it was 90 degrees most of our stay. The adults really enjoyed the porch swing. The driveway was a bit awkward.

Cozy cabin in the perfect location. The river behind the house made for a relaxing time either in the hot tub or sipping wine on the porch. Hot tub was always ready and perfect temp after a long day out and about.

Found the property to be as expected for a rental; sometimes others take or cause damage that the owners may not be aware of. Go in with any essentials that you may need for the length of your stay. Owner did supply a starter of paper products, dish soaps and trash bag. Unit was clean inside, beds were comfortable and the hot tub worked great. Pay attention that this unit has a spiral staircase ( in pics) that may be difficult for older adults. If they cannot use the staircase they may not be able to get to the hot tub or back of cabin to the river due to the terrain. The road is a secondary route and has a couple of gas station markets within a couple of blocks that is convenient for essentials. Unit was as pictured. Owner has small Christmas tree placed in unit. Owner responsive to inquiries. WiFi worked well with no issues. TVs are Roku based, so remember to bring your personal logins to any services you have; otherwise you have the Roku Live TV option available.

Overall the stay was not terrible. There was obvious pet damage from previous use. The master bedroom door would not latch. It appears to be that the door does not match the frame in that is is too small. The door bypasses the latch. Cobwebs and dust were noticed throughout the property. Decorations were a bit overwhelming as none of them seemed to match giving off thrift shop vibes. Again, none of this ruined the trip and overall we had a decent stay however this is certainly not a cabin we would choose to stay in a second time. The river access is what really makes this cabin special and what really made our stay enjoyable.
