Reviewer Comments: A large family reunion brought us to LCC where we rented a much larger home for family gathering time, so we only used Shadyside for 2 nights of sleep and coffee in the morning.The cabin was darling. The bed was very comfortable, good a/c, great lighting, comfortable carpeting in the bedroom, huge bathtub and very clean. I was frustrated to find the downstairs bathroom light did not work and there was no one to call to fix it. Initially, I could not find any kitchen items to make coffee, etc, until I read 5 min of reviews where I learned they were in a cabinet under the stairs, not intuitive at all, very annoying. It would have been helpful to have a little sign indicating where to find the 2 coffee cups. Also the Keurig is an old model that probably needs descaled or replaced as the coffee takes a very long time to brew and then the coffee maker makes hissing sounds every minute or so If you leave it on.The weather was terrible so we had to drink our coffee inside and the dining room chairs are not comfortable, nor is the couch. The outside had lots of great seating which I am sure would have been very comfortable if the weather was better.I would love to return to LCC sometime, it appears to be an incredible way to enjoy the outdoors. The Shadyside cabin is more than adequate for a comfortable place to sleep and shower, and enjoy the outdoors but if the weather keeps you inside, this cute little cabin is perfectly adequate to sit and read a book, play cards with your family, and enjoy the incredible views from anywhere in the cabin.I would just suggest the property management double check their lightbulbs and make sure all the lightbulbs work before a guest checks in, replace the coffee maker, and generate a little tag showing where to find the coffee cups, etc. other than those little inconveniences, thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful colors in the wild flowers, prickly pears and the pair of cardinals that seemed to follow us. Very relaxing.

Our granddaughter was married and the venue was directly across the street from the cabin.Housekeeping had a minor problem as there were dead bugs in the bathtub but I figure it was cleaned after the previous renters and no one checked the tub before we were there due to the time that could have been between the rentals.It was great to have two bathrooms so the trip to the upstairs was not as frequent as it could have been for anyone spending time downstairs.
