Stayed Nov 27, 2025This is a 20 year old cabin that is in need of some updates, repairs and most importantly, a good cleaning. There were dead flies and bugs on the floor and in window sills. Also, killed several live bugs which was not popular with the children. In the bedroom that was marketed for kids, there was a bug sticky strip laying on the floor, fully exposed. Of course, the kids touched it. The only heat vent in the kitchen level bedroom was covered by a bed so the bed was cozy warm. Leaks in the kitchen sink and the bathroom sink made the first night busy with moping up water. The hot smelled of strong chlorine such that we were afraid to use it. Also, in your add, you need to make sure people are aware that they need to leave space when packing to take your garbage home with you. There was a sign inside making this request. First time I have ever had to do this. Could be bad if you have an enclosed vehicle.If you are looking for a rustic place to get away, this might be your place. Be prepared to do some cleaning when you get there.
