Fish Camp, California
This cozy and charming cabin is approx 1,500 sq. ft. that has an open loft that can sleep 2 adults and 2 small children and 2 bedrooms that can sleep 4 with 2 bathrooms. The kitchen and main floor bathroom have been totally remodeled! We have two showers now, one downstairs and the new one on the main living area. There are 3 Smart TVs, wireless internet, microwave, dishwasher, oven, washer and dryer, forced air heating, air conditioning, wood stove, mudroom/laundry room and outdoor deck with a gas grill. We have security cameras around the perimeter of the cabin, but are not inside the cabin. These cameras are reviewed by the property manager only if there was a complaint or an issue. The cabin is walking distance to the Tenaya Lodge, which has restaurants, bar, bike rentals and horse carriage rides. It is a short 2 mile drive to the southern gate of Yosemite and Mariposa Grove. Bass Lake is just 13 miles away. There is also Horseback riding and the famous Sugar Pine Railroad within 2 miles. The community of Fish Camp is a location where parking can be difficult to find, but our cabin has off-street parking enough for 3-4 cars and a drive-thru driveway, which you will find to be very convenient. Our cabin is a non-smoking cabin, NO SMOKING EITHER IN THE CABIN OR ON THE DECK! Please respect this policy, we would appreciate that. Enjoy our cozy family cabin!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beginning with the personal parking spot right in front, this lovely cabin met our every need and expectation. It was nicely appointed with great furniture, comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. We particularly enjoyed relaxing on the spacious deck in back with a glass of wine, some cheese and just soaking in the quietness of the forest where the only sounds were those of nature around us. Our day trip into Yosemite Valley and back was quite easy for a day adventure. We will definitely be back.
We are so glad we stayed at this house just outside of Yosemite. We checked out the lodges in the park and they were very expensive and when we saw them very touristy and busy. Our place was a peaceful house with a beautiful side deck where we sat out and ate and played games. A nice little basket of goodies greeted us and received good instructions ahead of time regarding groceries.
The cabin is located outside of the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. The cabin was very cozy and clean. Easy entry access, kitchen stocked with all cooking essentials and a clean BBQ grill to enjoy the outdoors. Bathrooms, bedrooms and loft were very clean. The cabin also had a washer and dryer. It was literally home away from home. Please note: the GPS does not give correct directions to the cabin, reference the directions when cabin is reserved.
The home was neat and had many useful items stashed in its drawers and closets. You can tell the family who owns it has much love for it and has many fond memories there. The upstairs loft, which has a queen bed and two twin beds, had two low beams in the a-frame ceiling that gave both of my children huge bumps and bruises on their heads when getting in and out of the beds. The basement bedroom (with the king bed) and bathroom were very cold about 10 to 20° colder than the upstairs. There was a small space heater but it did not work. We ended up not using the basement for the entire stay. Also, there is a lot of construction going on in the neighboring houses which made for noisy atmosphere and many trucks coming and going during the day.
Cute, well equipped cabin with lots of character. Only 5 minutes from the Yosemite gate so great home base to explore the park from. Wood stove and shelves full of games made for cozy & fun evenings. Would definitely book it again.
My husband and I felt like we needed to flee the city for the weekend with our dog, and I'm SO happy we found this cabin in Fish Camp that allowed us to do that! It was the perfect size for the three of us, and I think two more adults would have fit very comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked and we ended up cooking every meal and just enjoying our time at the cabin between trips to Yosemite & Bass Lake! Would highly recommend, and we hope to come back again soon!
Very cozy, very homey. Great location just outside the park.
My husband, and kids in late teens and early twenties stayed here. We loved the cozy cabin. We spent each day in Yosemite. We walked to Tanaya Lodge - great restaurant close by.
This cabin was seriously the most magical Christmas experience I've ever had. It's super close to the park entrance, allowed us to take a few hours each day to explore the park, but also provided a cozy little home to return to once it was time for a fire and some warmth. I will most definitely be booking this location again in the future. Beautiful backdrop, the interior is adorable, and there wasn't a single thing I was displeased with.
A lovely little cabin in the woods and about a 15 minute drive to Yosemite. We'll be back! We had a perfect getaway.
