The amenities and views are great. Really enjoyed our stay there.
This spacious cabin on Torch Bay was the perfect home-base location for us for a week of exploring Keweenaw, Houghton, and Baraga counties! It is conveniently located near M-26 and provided easy access to everything. The cabin was roomy, clean, and well-stocked with extras for guests. The back porch, with a view of the water, was a wonderful place to sit with a cup of coffee in the morning, and we enjoyed having a bonfire out near the water. We would stay here again and highly recommend!
We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The name Cozy Cabin fits it perfectly. The cabin was clean and the beds were great. The cabin had all the amenities you could think of and being on the lake was great. Would definitely stay here again.
Nice cozy cabin for our honeymoon getaway.
Wonderful cabin/home on the lake. Had everything we could need and more. Wish we would have had more days to enjoy the wonderful place.
We booked the stay with the understanding that we would be fishing. Although the fishing was a little slow, mostly because of the weather, everything worked out well. We could easily dock 2 fishing boats. The cabin was excellent and had everything we need.
The cabin continually had a bunch of bad amells (dank and musty in basement-one of my kids ended up on the couch to avoid), random sewage smells in bathroom despite us following directions on note on shower to put cap over shower drain to prevent, weird smell in kitchen. We ended up putting air fresheners all over to combat smells. No use of laundry facilities. Also can't use heat setting on dishwasher or water dispenser on old, dirty fridge. Furniture and appliances old. Only redeeming features are board games, large master, and nice lake view.
The cabin is beautiful, the lake is beautiful, the area is beautiful. The cabin is quite comfortable and the sauna was a nice touch. Communication from the owner was excellent. We hope to return.
Only disappointment was the dock was not in, we had to drive to the public launch to put the boat in and take it out at nite each day
The Cozy Cabin is quite large, but feels... well, cozy! It enjoys beautiful surroundings and plenty of privacy, but I'd still just minutes from Hancock and Houghton. Would definitely stay there again.
Cottage very much as advertised. Owners go out of their way to supply many items for renters use.
Nice, clean, and very comfortable log cabin.
We found Cozy Cabin while looking for a lodging on Portage Lake with fishing being our primary interest. What a great find! It was centrally located with sheltered dockage suitable for 2 - 18 foot fishing boats. And the accommodations were great. The description and photos used in the listing are highly accurate. There were no surprises for us on this trip and would consider using Cozy Cabin in the future.
No issues. I would recommend.
This was our 2nd time staying at Cozy Cabin and we had a great stay. Really enjoyed the location, the water, and the calm relaxing atmosphere. I would definately stay here again.
Great
We stayed at the Cozy Cabin for my son's graduation from Michigan Tech. Was clean, spacious, and right on the lake. Great place. Would definitely stay again.
