Sylva, North Carolina
This cozy cabin offers a treasured panoramic view of the gorgeous Tuckaseegee River. Wake up to the coolness of the Smoky Mountains, drink a hot cup of coffee and let your worries melt away while sitting on the front porch taking in the panoramic views of the Tuckaseegee River. See the fly fishermen casting their fly rods and get ready to cast your own! Not into fishing There's plenty of other fun activities in this geographical area! We are close to shops offering fishing and water sports including rafting, tubing and kayaking. We're conveniently located within 10 minutes to Dillsboro, Sylva, 30 minutes from Cherokee, Cashiers or Highlands and about 40 minutes from Asheville.
Our smoke-free cabin has a plenty of all day views from the porch.
NOTE: The small dock and grass area at the waters edge is private property. Please do not access the water from this area or use the dock or fire pit.
Again, this is private property and trespassing is enforced.
You can use public access areas located up river or at several county run access points in the area.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
The cabin has two bedrooms. One designed to be a master with a king-size bed. The other room has a set of twin beds. The living room holds 2 comfortable couches perfect for relaxing, napping or watching tv. One is large enough for a child to sleep on. The kitchen includes all modern amenities except a dishwasher (here you are the dishwasher). There is a washer and dryer set up.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It has a beautiful view of the river from the front porch. It’s located close to all of the sites to see in the area. We were able to spend Christmas with our daughter and other family members that were in the area. There was an issue with the internet service the last two days. Jill and Colin did the best they could to get it fixed and did offer a refund for the inconvenience. This was one of the best cabins we’ve stayed at in the Sylva area. We will definitely be staying there again in the future.
We had such a great holiday weekend! The cabin was clean, cozy and quiet-loved seeing and hearing the river across the street. Well-stocked with everything you needed and more! We never turned on the TV, instead explored the beautiful outdoors during the day! Pets loved it too! Would stay here again in the future!
We couldn't have enjoyed our stay anymore than we did! An amazing location with a spectacular view!! The sounds of the river were peaceful and relaxing. We wanted for nothing during our stay as the cabin was equipped with everything we could ever need and then some! Brook Trout Cabin is a DEFINITE return visit ?
beautiful view; saw several bald eagles; peaceful vacation
Very responsive and friendly host! Cabin was perfect for our stay, close proximity to WCU and downtown Sylva. Thank you!
The property was clean and well kept! I would not hesitate to stay here again next year!
My wife and I booked this property for a week long vacation. Very unexpectedly on our first day there, the heat went out and it was going to take several days for it to be repaired. We booked another property for the remainder of the week and Colin and Jill were very gracious to provide a full refund. The property is great and has a beautiful view of the river. We would not hesitate to book this property for a return trip.
Great property and location! It was our second time staying there and hope to be able to stay for future trips! Thank You!
Comfortable, very clean, great view. We only stayed 2 instead of 3 nights but would be very comfortable fir several more days. Had everything you would need if you plan to cook ( more than toast and coffee) breakfast. If visiting WCU, great location
Very clean place with a great porch for viewing the river and nearby mountains. Well equipped and enjoyable.
good, clean property, with privacy and seclusion, but close to downtown sylva
Wonderful comfy and cozy cabin with the most amazing views. of both the mountains and the Tuckaseegee River. Had everything we needed for a one-month stay. Beds were especially comfortable and all linens . Plenty of cookware. We used paper plate, bowls and plasticware for dishes for our convenience and all went well.
My wife and I and our dog spent 3 nights at Brook Trout Cabin! Caught lots of trout in the river below the property! Also enjoyed the local restaurant scene! We are in our 60’s and this was an ideal experience for us! We hope to return soon!
Had a wonderful stay and witness some stunning sunrises and sunsets.
