Stayed Jun 18, 2026Nice getaway in the woods on the lake. Very convenient to Nantahala Weddings Venue. A steep walk up but an easy drive. Also convenient to a boat dock just down the drive way. Bring your own boat, kayak, or paddleboard.

Stayed Jun 5, 2026Could have used a lot more communications regarding the surroundings. The mountains have no cell service, period. Would have been nice to have that pointed out to us before we took off. Had we known, we would have printed out the directions regarding how to get in to the property once we got there. In addition, this property was extremely poorly marked, and impossible to find. When Google Maps told us “we had arrived”, there was NO mailbox, and in the dark, there was no driveway visible. A more detailed description of how to get to the property from the main road would have been very helpful. Once we were there, since there was no cell service, we had no way to access how to get in to the cabin. All this could have been averted is WE WERE TOLD THAT THERE WILL BE NO CELL SERVICE, AND THAT WE SHOULD PRINT OUT THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE WE LEAVE. The cabin was as expected, and a good value. It was very clean, and comfortable. Unfortunately , the hair raising inability to get to the cabin the night before really ruined our ability to enjoy our surroundings.

Stayed May 15, 2026Property was exactly what we needed for a short day during our friends wedding. The venue is probably a 10 minute walk from the property, so it was easy for us to get ready at this property and walk over to the wedding and reception. The check-in process was smooth, and the host was responsive. Only feedback/advice I would give to those booking, is that the road to turn into the Property on the main road, is pretty hard to see at night, and there’s no service up there. Just FYI to have maps up to date

Stayed Mar 27, 2026Very communicative and flexible host. The cabin was exactly as advertised and the kitchen even had things like seasoning if you’re planning to cook. It’s def recommended to have a 4x4 / awd vehicle as there are dirt roads you will need to commute through to get to it.

Stayed Mar 14, 2025walking distance to local marina and across the street to Nantahala weddings. Inside is renovated and clean, nice for family and includes amenities for cooking, etc. Outside needs renovation (metal roof was threatening to blow off in high winds storm). Fire pit area is nice with covered gathering area.
