Cozy Cabin Boarding Winslow Hill Elk Viewing Area!

excellent stay very appropriately named cozy cabin. perfect for two people to have a relaxing stay. very clean and supplied with everything you could need. all you need to bring is food and clothing....and maybe binoculars for watching wildlife.

Location was exactly what we wanted... And the owner was very helpful, when we were looking for Elk... Thank you 😊

You cannot stay any closer to the Winslow Hill Elk Observation area. Wonderfully comfortable and rustic at the same time. Made good use of the grill. The deer were often in the backyard and morning was filled with bird song. Great getaway opportunity and easy to set up.

The cabin was cute, clean and comfortable. Location was perfect to view elk and other wildlife. Easy to communicate with host and check in went smoothly. My husband and I had a great weekend.

Yes, there are shops nearby. We were there for R & R, so we did do any shopping.

The host was very easy to contact. The place was clean, cozy and had lots of amenities. He had the driveway plowed from all the snow they had. So everything was ready for us to get in at 3:00.

The host was very welcoming! The place had everything that we needed for a few nights stay. It was very clean and well kept. Super cute place and so close to Winslow Hill and the Elk Visitor Center. My husband and I will be back for another stay for sure!

Communication with the host Dan was great. Had everything we needed. It was a very cozy way to celebrate our 42 nd anniversary. We will be going back in Aug or Sept. Only saw 1 elk on our drive there but on the way home we saw a very large heard. It was beautiful.

Cabin was as described and more! So cozy and the snow made even more so. Dan, the host, is great! Kitchen was stocked with all cooking essentials which for us is a need be. Anticipation for Elk proved great! We will return!

Very nice and clean property everything a couple needs to complete a wonderful stay. Private back yard with a deck is very relaxing and located perfectly for short drives to locate elk.

Very nice and clean cabin. Which we had more time. We got in very late and left a little before checkout. Wish there wasnt construction going on right next door early in the morning but they are building another cabin and i guess they have to work sometime. Was hoping to see some elk bit didn't. Loved sitting on the porch.

We loved our stay here at The Coop absolutely perfect place for 2 people. Super cute and squeaky clean. Peaceful setting and so relaxing. Highly recommend Dan's place. Hope we can stay here again sometime

Came to see the elk in July and was not disappointed. The accommodations were excellent. Almost hated to leave the cabin but the elk were only a short walk away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Coop and can not wait to return!! The Coop is a quaint, cozy, beautiful cabin with a great location. The woodwork throughout the cabin is beautiful, as well as the impeccable cleanliness and upkeep of the cabin. The cabin has everything you need inside and out and then some. The gift shop, Bert's Roost, is also beautiful and has a lot of great items. Betty is so sweet and we enjoyed chatting with her while shopping.During our stay we enjoyed viewing the Elk (saw 30, including 1 Bull and 2 Babies) - Majority at Winslow, but also at Hicks and behind Benezette General Store (Station Rd), during sunrise & sunset. We also made our way to Gray Hill Rd, Elk Visitor Center, Woodring Farm and Dents Run viewing areas, but no success. Outside of the Elk, we saw many deer, turkeys and 2 porcupines.Thank you Dan (and Betty) for the wonderful hospitality and the beautiful cabin. We will definitely be back and looking forward to our next stay!

Everything was perfect. We could stay just one night for a business trip, but it was the perfect getaway. The Coop was cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities. We could walk over to watch the sunset and watch for elk. We highly recommend, for a short night or even better, a longer stay. We will come again!

Excellent location. Everything you could possibly want. Spotless cabin, kitchen with everything you could want. BBQ, firepit, t.v and internet. Relaxing lazyboy sofa after so many miles on the motorbike, grateful! Great shower and bed was comfortable. Peaceful sleep and we saw elk down the road. Close to the stores and restaurants. Highly recommend.

This cabin is perfect in every way! Very super clean, absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. We watched deers from the back deck for hours. Everything you would want in a get-a-way! Will be back!

Well built cabin and well positioned for traveling the area for elk watching. Very comfortable .

Loved the cabin and location

The coop was very nice and comfortable. It was nicely furnished, the bed was very comfortable. We sat on the back porch and watched the bunnies run around. We saw elk,whitetail deer,and turkeys. The coop was not to far from places to eat or visit.

Easy to find, our arrival and check in was simple. There’s a short walk to elk viewing and short drive to visitors center. It is not near any stores and there’s limited places to eat but the ones around are delicious! We had the misfortune of experiencing a tornado warning and bad storm with power outage but the owner was easy to contact and updated us as he was. We will be returning later this year if able!

We always enjoy our stays in Benezette. This was the first winter weekend. It was like living in a snow globe for the weekend. So restful and beautiful. And this little cabin is just right for a couples getaway.

The cabin served my boyfriend and my needs as it was very cozy and well kept. This is especially true as our plans did not turn out due to the weather and we spent more time in the cabin than we thought. The hosts were very willing to reach out and make our stay the best it could be. I would highly recommend this cabin.

We decided at the last minute to take a short trip. We were surprised to find your cabin was available for a one night stay. It was quaint and cozy. Loved the Christmas decorations. It met all our needs. We would definitely return.

Cozy and comfortable cabin in the perfect location!

Very clean. House was left unlocked for us and keys were left on the kitchen table. We really only slept there. We were out looking for elk most of the time. We knew we missed the rut, but we did see 27 elk.

Beautiful place, perfect location.

This was by far the best house we stayed in at benezette. We could sit on the porch and here the elk bugle. The property is clean and well maintained. The only thing i would suggest is to have a sign at the lane entrance to not block the driveway. Twice we werent able to enter because if vehicles pdrdriveway.

We spent two nights at this property to celebrate my husbands birthday and try to see a few Elk. We absolutely loved the cabin. It had everything we needed and was very quiet, clean and relaxing. We saw close to 100 Elk, a bear, many deer and turkey. We heard the Elk bugle each day. Everyone at the property and in the town were very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back to stay again.

Wonderful little cabin. Very clean and new. I loved the sliding door separating the bedroom and living room. The recliners were very comfortable too. The only issue I had was poor WiFi, but that’s probably not an issue for folks looking to unwind.

This was a great mini getaway. A small cabin with all the comforts of home! We loved the seclusion in the back of the property and the ability to make a little fire outside. This was within walking distance to an elk viewing area, which did not disappoint! The owner was very kind and stopped by to say hello as well. The only complaint is that we didn’t book more days to stay! 🙂. We will definitely be back soon!
