Mio, Michigan
Relax and enjoy nature in a cozy cabin nestled in mature trees in a neighborhood with other cute cabins. Enjoy a walk to the AuSable back waters where you can experience world class trout fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Located in the heart of northern Michigan Amish country, stop by the local bakery for a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie before your days adventure. Crossing country skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling also nearby!
Great time because everything was perfect for us. Cozy cabin that you just disconnect with the wood stove...Or plug in and watch a movie...We'll be back!
This cabin is a great destination for a relaxing and rustic weekend away! It was very cozy and we were pleased to find out that there was not only a wood burning stove but also a heater in the cabin. We had everything we needed for a weekend stay, however I would advise bringing your own water.
It worked for what I needed at the time but it’s not secluded, it’s in the middle of what looks like a residential area. The cabin was nice for just myself and quiet.
Totally relaxed and enjoyed are stay. Would enjoy booking for next year
Exactly what we needed very peaceful the cabin is so cute and cozy loved our stay would definitely love to go back
Perfect cabin for a quick fishing trip. Very clean and comfortable.
my family loved it and my grandmother said the bed was so comfy and my mom and aunt said they whish they we not so busy so they could sat out side more and we will daffily stay again if ever needed
Nice location, kayaking and orv trails close by.
Enjoyed our stay and explored the National Forest.
Pic is misleading or was to me looked like it was off by itself it’s actually in a a area where neighbors are very close. We were there in March for my wife’s B Day. WIFI and TV unreliable. Cabin well equipped kitchen, bathroom. Did enjoy the wood stove ambiance.
My wife and I go on a few special trips each year. In the last 9 years this is the first time she said she didn't want to leave. The place is perfect for a couple looking to get away to the simple life. We spent the day relaxing, thrashing some trails in our Jeep, and eating good food, whether is was from local establishments or stuff we could prepare right there. Looks like it would be a great place in the summer, too.
Cozy cabin nestled in the woods.
We booked this cabin to serve as our late season deer camp. It was the perfect set up for our small two person group. With close proximity to Mio’s downtown, and easy access to the Huron National forest it is a great mix of woods and amenity. The cabin is nicely provisioned and has a charming rustic feel. The wood burning stove provides a great ambiance to unwind after a long day in the woods. I would highly recommend this charming cabin if you are looking for an economical way to enjoy Michigans Northern country.
