Cozy Arkdale Wood Cabin Near Petenwell Lake!

Very cozy!

Everything was great. Access to the home was easy and simple…however, I had to call to get the access code—nobody reached out to me. And, when I called, they originally could not find my reservation. So, that communication was a little clunky, but we got through it. It was still a 5-Star experience. Thank you.

We loved the look of this cabin. Plenty of room with multiple beds. Two seating areas with big screen TV's. The ping pong table was a big hit. However, the refrigerator and freezer in the kitchen were not working properly. The refrigerator was not staying cold. We did not have it overloaded. Even when we did remove the items to the downstairs refrigerator, the upstairs refrigerator still wouldn't keep items cold. The freezer was not freezing anything at all. I informed the owner. She apologized, but said she wouldn't be able to get anyone out there on the weekend to fix it. We cooked every meal in the cabin, so It was a hassle to go up and down the stairs to carry all the food back and forth. The second issue we had was the grill. We were trying to cook burgers and brats and the grill would not completely heat up. After trying to cook on it, we had to bring the food back up into the house to finish cooking. Despite these issues, our family had a very nice time.

Our stay at the cabin was wonderful....lots of family memories made. The cabin location made us feel like we were secluded in the woods. Our four elementary age grandchildren loved playing in the yard. The cabin is clean and well equipped; we especially appreciated the complete sets of dishes, tableware and knives. The cabin is located close to boat ramps and beaches so we were able to take advantage of the lake. The host was very responsive to our needs.

Property & house were very nice & exceeded our expectations! Everyone in our group had enough privacy, everything was clearly labeled, lots of extra blankets and pillows, very comfortable and good location for what we needed! Will definitely be staying there again!

Was a little bit nervous at first not sure what to expect but when we got there it was truly a beautiful gem. We settled in and made ourselves at home. Once we got to know the place, we enjoyed our stay very much.

The location and home amenities were perfect for our group needs. Many beds spread across multiple rooms and levels allowed groups to spread out for sleeping arrangements. Our group had 9 people and we did not feel crammed into any sleeping or living spaces. Two bedrooms on the main level accommodated mobility issues. Windows had high quality coverings for keeping sun out on the south side during the day and keeping rooms darker in the morning, not bare like many vacation rentals. All three bathrooms (one on each level) had showers which was very convenient for a large group. Plenty of towels for a large group. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances, cooking utensils, etc which made meal preparation very easy. Sitting on the covered front porch and back deck were very relaxing. The 8 person dining table on main level and basement pingpong table, along with padded chairs, worked perfectly for our groups large-scale tabletop gaming. AC/Heat/ceiling fans worked well. Host was very responsive to several questions I had prior to our stay. Overall this stay was wonderful and we would definitely rent here again if we come back to the area!

Secluded, rustic, well kept and well stocked getaway! Enough space for 4 individual couples and their children to have privacy
