Feels miles from anywhere, but you’ll be just up the road from the Buffalo National River, and minutes from Jasper, AR for historic dining or a small-town stroll.

Quiet area in the middle of the woods, just off Hwy 74 outside of Jasper, AR. Unpaved road to the cabin can be a little rough between gradings. Private parking at the cabin. You will receive detailed directions before your stay. **We share the neighborhood with black bears who show up from time to time, so please keep all food/food prep/serving items inside the cabin, and any extra trash in the metal bin outside!** Dollar General and Harp’s grocery are just minutes away in Jasper.

The Retreat offers a full kitchen with electric range and oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, all the tools you need to prepare a Thanksgiving meal or do some summer grilling, just bring the groceries! Settle in on the covered porch with a coffee from our coffee corner and enjoy the views.

Master bedroom downstairs has a king bed, en-suite bathroom with washer and dryer available for guest use. Loft upstairs has one full bed, one twin bed, and a full bath with tub.

Living room area features
comfortable furniture and a TV with Roku for access to all of your personal streaming accounts.
Wifi is complimentary at the cabin, but not guaranteed as the area can be prone to internet outages.

Outside space is equipped with a
large fire pit and seating, gas grill for outdoor cooking, picnic table, and plenty of grassy area to run around. We welcome your furry friends!

**PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING**

Wifi can be unreliable here in the woods, so plan to be outside and entertain the possibility of time unplugged!

Not a suitable road for motorcycles!

We also cannot accommodate low-clearance vehicles as the driveway to the cabin is unpaved and rocky. We recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles for unpaved mountain roads!

For stays of 2 weeks or longer, please be aware there will be an additional cleaning fee of $85 without pets or $95 with pets. **owned by an Arkansas licensed realtor

Absolutely perfect cabin. Its nice and isolated but close enough to town that it isnt an issue if you need anything. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to have a great time surrounded by nature.

Daughter and I stayed for a few days of hiking and relaxation. The cabin is comfortable and clean and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. WiFi worked well and host was very responsive. I was glad we opted to take our 4WD truck because the road is no joke. It was more steep and rough than the unpaved roads to the hiking trails, but we survived. It’s a beautiful, quiet setting with a perfect hillside view of the sunrise over the valley.

If you want a place to unplug and unwind, this is the place. So remote and quiet. The house is clean and stocked. Katie was very responsive with and questions. Will definitely add this to my list to return.

The stay was fantastic and the lodging was fantastic. If you're looking to get away and not have any visible neighbors, this is your place! I agree with the host that if you're looking to unplug, this is where you can do that. Having said, we didn't have a single issue with Wi-Fi or cell service. Our host was very responsive when we got a little lost along the way and led us straight to the property without an issue! Beautiful area, beautiful home, and well worth the stay! For my fiancée and I, this was the perfect place to get engaged!

Several lights not working, spider webs everywhere (even on flat walls), pet hair everywhere including pillow cases, and the master bed is two smaller beds shoved together. We booked two nights, stayed only one.

We loved the interior of the cabin which was comfortable and nice. The outside porch lights would not turn on so that was a bummer at night. The dirt path to the cabin is not maintained well at all so we actually left early before the rain hit because we were afraid that we would not make it up the gravel/boulder dirt road if it was wet.

Very clean home, with king bed downstairs and loft bedroom upstairs with two beds. Secluded spot without being too far away from town. We watched the sun come up from the front porch each morning we were there. It is such a a peaceful place with a great view. We'd love to stay again

The cabin is cozy and inviting. It is well stocked with things that can be used. The main thing is, IT WAS CLEAN!! The cabin is a little bit more pricey than I usually pay, but well worth it. The views are breathtaking. We will definitely use this cabin again.

We had the best time staying here ! The perfect location for finding waterfalls and kayaking the Buffalo River ! You feel so secluded yet the town isn’t far away! Best of both worlds ! The host is amazing and easy to communicate with!

Overall it was a great place. The sign to the property was hidden by brush making it difficult to find. Definitely need a 4WD vehicle. Also the downstairs tub did not drain well.

Cabin was great, nice secluded location with forest, mountain, and valley views. Wanted to explore the area more, but had to leave a day early due to the heavy rainstorms. Access road and driveway were very rugged and require a vehicle with AWD and high ground clearance.

With the pressure from school, work, and everyday life reaching a breaking point, I decided that I needed to get away from all of it. This place was the perfect spot to do so. Originally, I was going with a friend, but they had to cancel. However, the gorgeous view, quiet location, and cozy interior made great company. I spent my time reading, sitting outside, cooking, and visiting the nearby town of Jasper when I felt like it. The owner was also great at communication and instructions, as well as recommendations. It was a great trip in a great place, and I plan to come back again soon!

Despite the rough dirt road, this cabin gets 5 stars! We would love to come back and stay here again! The cabin is tucked into the woods with tons of privacy and a beautiful view of the mountains. It’s only 6 min to Jasper where you can eat the best comfort food at Ozark Cafe and delicious coffee at Peggy Sue’s. Very close to hiking trails and to float the Buffalo. Thank you for a great stay!!

Very nice cabin. We loved the wood in the cabin and the wildlife mounts on the wall. It was super clean and well taken care of. The road was a little tricky but my 4-wheel drive truck handled it fine. Would stay here again.

We were super excited about our stay in Jasper, a couple days before we were set to arrive I received a text from the host saying there was a wasp issue and they couldn’t get pest control there until well after our trip was over. She asked us to use the front door and avoid the side door, however they were everywhere. My husband was attacked and stung on our second day there. He had a terrible reaction and was unable to enjoy our outing we had planned. The children were scared after seeing him be stung and were afraid to even go outside. She left a half bottle of wasp spray under the sink, this was not enough for a 3 day visit. We had to purchase three more bottles on our own to try and kill them. The cabin was cute and cozy on the inside, but didn’t make it worth it after dealing with wasp issues all weekend.
