Couples Paradise a Historic 1944 Pocono Cabin on 2 acres Close to Hiking, Ruins

We had such a lovely weekend here. The house is so cozy, clean, and relaxing. The hosts were so kind and welcoming. They gave us great recommendations on places to visit and eat. There is so much wildlife around the cabin as well, and the deer came to visit! An excellent stay here.

Gorgeous original cabin lovingly restored with all the amenities needed. Cozy, perfectly situated within a couple miles of great hiking. Ryan (the host) was welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and the cabin’s history. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Out of all the places we stayed this was one of the best! The scenery, the comfy immaculate cottage, feeding the deer. It was a perfect quiet weekend in a wonderful place!

Susan and Ryan were great hosts! They were welcoming, friendly, and helpful with recommendations on what to do and see. The cabin is cozy and immmaculate. Best this is all the wildlife that basically come to the door to say HI! I would highly recommend to anyone going to Pocons.

What an absolute gem! If you’re looking for peace, tranquility, and the wonders of nature, look no further. This historic home is perfect for you and your sweetheart. Tucked away in the Poconos, there is opportunity to venture out and explore or just hang around and enjoy the peace and quiet. Ryan and Sue are the most hospitable hosts and definitely make you feel right at home. We are absolutely making this a tradition and are counting the days until we can go back! “Couples Paradise” is the perfect name for this location. Love it here!

Check in was easy and the owner gave us information on the property & the area. The cabin was in mint condition. All the details were relayed to us on the cabin. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook with and clean up with.

What an absolutely perfect stay for two! The cabin is beautiful and clearly has been restored with love. One of the owners greeted us and thank goodness he did! He told us about a few good spots to take pictures of old abandoned structures and a few good places in town. We took the suggestions one of which was the Skytop Lodge and it was wonderful! We had the perfect weekend in the perfect place!

Our visit was the first week of July 2025. We arrived at check-in time and were greeted by the owners who explained the housekeeping rules and additionally told us about the history of the house. So interesting to know. There were pics on the coffee table as well. The cabin was immaculate. Seriously. And so cute. It was a perfect size for two people. The owners had taken great care in furnishing it and even had games, pocono-related books and walking sticks. The shower was great. The kitchen was furnished for cooking. The bed was very comfortable. So many windows. We loved the views. There was a stream in the back of the house that we could hear through the wooded area but not see. It was so peaceful. We did venture down to the stream which seemed more like a creek to me and it was so pretty. Care needs to be taken in that area and we had no problem getting up and down the rope tow line. There were a few rules that we needed to follow while staying in the house which all made sense and of course we followed since we wanted to be respectful of the property. Before we came I was very nervous that I was going to see a bear. And guess what! We did! Right in front of the cabin. But it was just minding its own business and walking along slow enough so we could get some pics. It was one of the highlights! What a great place to stay. We totally recommend it!

This is the 2nd time staying here and it was as relaxing as the first time. Very serene and close to everything ( restaurants, casino, shopping). Highly recommend.

My husband and I booked this beautiful cabin for his bday and our one year anniversary! When I say this place is a lil slice of heaven I mean it! it’s so beautiful and peaceful family of deer come right up to eat they even provide the corn to feed them every morning! They gave us great recommendations on places to go and things to see! They have a journal with everyone that’s stayed there has written in bout there stay I thought that was so cool to read bout other peoples experiences. We will be going back again some time.

This cabin was perfect for a little weekend getaway! I wish we could have stayed longer. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived. It was a great location to do some exploring. I would highly recommend you checking it out!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. Everything is as advertised! It was nice meeting Susan at check in and getting a little history about the property. We would definitely book another stay in the future.

My husband and I wanted a weekend get away to reset and disconnect, and this home was perfect. Cozy, quiet and in a great location. Super clean. Host was very responsive and greeted us for any questions. Will definitely come again.

We loved the cabin! It’s been renovated with the intent to preserve the history of the home and property with lots of pictures to show its progression over 60 years. The owners are friendly, informative and accommodating. The property has all that you need for a stay in my favorite area of the Poconos.

Beautiful quirky old restored cottage in natural area outside Mt. Pocono PA. Close to city and sites of interest but just outside of state game lands so being in the middle of nowhere. Very nice and quiet. Stream on property and lots of animals around.

There is nothing I can really say that can adequately describe this beautiful property other than to to say...This is what the Pocono Mountains is all about...why people come to the Poconos. This beautiful property is a must stay. Great Hosts (Ryan & Sue). Beautiful, super clean, well stocked , comfortable bed, just a superior rental. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer. Quiet, peaceful, yet close to activities to suite everyone, this beauty is waiting for you! Thanks to our hosts for making a combo birthday and 47th wedding anniversary a good time. Recharge the battery, feed the deer right outside your door, visit the stream less than 10 minutes away....or just relax and veg out. You can't lose here! WE will return to this cabin for sure in the near future! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your super cabin!
