Stayed May 23, 2025We really enjoyed the break. The cottage was beautiful and in a great setting.Karl was accommodating and very helpful.It was a great place to recover after our trip to Ben Nevis summit.

Stayed May 17, 2025This is a fantastic place to stay. We were bowled over by the location and the quality of the cabin. The photos do not do it justice. We were met by Karl who is so kind and friendly and helpful but without being at all intrusive. He'd left us some welcoming goodies. We enjoyed breakfast down by the lake one morning and a bbq in the evening. To watch the changing light over to the hills across the lake was magical. We felt fully immersed in nature, lots of bird song, even an engeretic cuckoo that I haven't heard in years and deer in the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need with plenty of cooking ingredients; spices etc.. The sort of thing you dont want to buy a whole pack of when travelling. One thing to note, my car is very low to the ground and it struggled up the track because of the central high point, just take it slow.

Stayed Nov 2, 2019Karl was a wonderful host, communication was easy and the views were superb! Very clean cabin with ample kitchen supplies to make a couple meals. Great hike up the hill from the chalet with expansive views. Beds were comfy, bathroom was clean with great shower pressure. Lovely stay.
