Colorado Cabin Getaway Near Pikes Peak!

The house was great! It fit all our needs. It was stocked with more staples (foil, seasoning, laundry detergent, etc) than many house rentals we’ve previously stayed in. The fire place and hot tubs were easy to use and working well. The beds were comfortable. Definitely take the owners warning of needing a 4 wheel drive in snow! We saw many wild turkeys wondering around which the kids went crazy over. The only issue we had was the living room carpet sheds ALOT. When the kids would sit on the floor to play games or watch a movie, they would get up completely covered in prickly little carpet spikes. So we ended having to change them and do laundry much more often than intended. I let the owners know about this issue. They were very receptive and wanted to hear any criticism so they could make their property great for their future guests. I would recommend this house. Just maybe put a blanket on the carpet before anyone sits on it.

great place for family getaway

The house was extremely clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the wildlife right outside, and the amazing views! The neighbors are closer than I first pictured it, but it was still a quiet neighborhood. There’s no air conditioning, so the day time got a little warm, but the evenings were comfortable, and the hosts provided fans in the bedrooms, thank heavens! We rather enjoyed the hot tub and the bbq grill on the patio! Would stay again if in the area.

Beautiful location and view! Perfect place to stay to be close to all of the local attractions but far enough away from the crowds.

The house perfect for what we needed. We did not experience any issues during our stay.

We are definitely used to differences at our various home stays and know that while the temperatures/altitudes in Colorado don’t mean that some properties need AC, ventilation is key including operable windows and doors with screens and enough fans. The property management group has heard our suggestions and made note of the lack of fans, ventilation, and the consequences that sometimes come with opening doors. We liked the space, the number of beds and the overall function of the kitchen. It’s about 10 minutes to Woodland park but really not bad! Thanks for sharing the home!

We loved our stay in Woodland Park! The home was smartly designed and cozy with a gas fireplace that heated the room quickly. We also enjoyed the hot tub, especially as snow was falling. The manager forewarned us of the snowstorm predicted before our arrival, which we appreciated.road to the house was unpaved and hilly. Would love to go back in the fall!
