Meeteetse, Wyoming
Located just 30 miles south of Cody Wyoming in a Wildlife Paradise. From the newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bath Cabin, one one acres, it is a Short walk to downtown Meeteetse Wyoming, famous for being Butch Cassidy's hangout. The town still has board sidewalks. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and thousands of acres of National Forest for Hiking, horseback riding and great fishing. The Greybull river has some of the best cutthroat fishing in the West! Check out Wind River as well.
Great
Stayed for a week of pronghorn hunting. The house is excellent, clean, very well furnished, and it seems like the owner has thought of everything to make you stay a perfect one. I highly recommend staying here if your in the Meeteetse area, you won't regret it!
The stay was amazing! It was super convenient for the event we were attending and the owner let us check in a little early. The front patio was so nice in the morning with the deer and horses. The only issue was we tried to cook something in the oven and it started smoking. Both the oven and the grill could use a good cleaning. Even with that minor issue….I would recommend this place. Thank you!
This was a great stay. Loved the location with wildlife and the property was nice and clean. Also nice having a large grill. Would recommend.
This is a great place to stay if you are truly wanting a place to kick back and relax. You will enjoy the porch where you can soak up the morning sunrises and evening sunsets. This was definitely a great experience and look to going back again soon.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was very comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed. We loved the location and enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the morning with coffee while watching deer in the yard. Meeteetse is a cute little town and a great home base for a visit to the area.
Will definitely return for a stay and recommend it to others
Our stay was pleasant as always thank yiu for sharing your house
Overall pleasant stay
Very clean . Would stay here again!
This was an excellent rental with a few minor issues. The master bathroom sink had a drainage issue and the WiFi name did not match the instructions given. Other than those issues we were very happy with our stay. We would recommend this rental to others.
Our cabin was beautiful, clean, and had everything thing we could need to fully enjoy our stay. It’s a beautiful location and my children and I really enjoyed the front porch and fire pit! This area is full of deer and it was quiet and peaceful. Not much to do in the town as most shops or restaurants were closed but again we enjoyed the quiet and vast open space this area gave us. The gas station/store in town was very helpful in having a few grocery items we needed and gas. The housekeeper is very responsive, friendly, and easy to contact. We didn’t have time to check out the near by lakes but they came highly recommended for recreation and fishing. It was a short 30 minute scenic drive to Cody with lots to do there and about an hour and a half to Yellowstone. Definitely a place I would stay again and look forward to seeing the potential growth in this small town of Meeteetse.
Cabin was very cute and stocked with anything you can think of however there was not enough hand soap in any bathrooms or kitchen. Cabin was decorated very nicely and tvs in every room. Bathrooms were very nice. Basement however needs some updating and stairs need a railing because it was very dangerous but the listing does state that. Town was quiet and very cute. Antique stores and the Bar and grill was amazing. There is a chocolate store that sells pastries and truffles. Yummy!. The only thing is everything opens late and closes early. If your looking for a nice quit place away from the hustle bustle from cody than this is your place. 30 minutes to cody and the ride there is very beautiful with lots of wild life to see on the way. We actually saw several Mule deer ? At the cabin towards night time which was awesome. We loved this place.
Clean, not to far Cody or Yellowstone. Seen 2 big deer in back yard area, very neat way to end day at Yellowstone.
We were told there was a large gravel parking area we had trucks and trailer when we got there heavy equipment was parked in the are we arrived the grass needed mowed owner said he would get it done we left 5 days later and it still wasn’t mowed we had 3 couples and you had to walk through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom I asked why that wasn’t mentioned he told me I didn’t ask. And one of the beds was broke when we got there.
If you are hoping to do things in Meetetese, think again. The Cabin was so Amazing. It was a great place to stay to go to Teton mountains and then go the other way toward Cody to hit East entrance of Yellowstone. We saw some great wildlife at the Cabin- birds and mule deer.
It’s a hidden gem in an out of the way town, which is just what we wanted.
