We stayed for 11 nights. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations. We chose this property hoping for a comfortable home base during our Alaska trip, but multiple safety, cleanliness, and maintenance issues significantly affected our stay. Several hazards made the home feel unsafe:* Smoke alarms going off during normal use—simply toasting bread or taking a hot shower triggered them.* A loose, unstable toilet.* Flickering lights in various areas.* A ceiling leak which was both alarming and inconvenient.Home was not cleaned properly upon arrival:* Bedrooms and surfaces were dusty and dirty.* Leftover food, trash, and unwashed dishes from previous guests were found throughout the kitchen.* Even the dishwasher and coffee maker were dirty.
Overall, the home did not meet basic cleanliness standards.Several appliances and fixtures were either unreliable or non-functional:* The refrigerator wasn’t cold enough to safely store food.* The kitchen faucet’s spray function was difficult to control.* The toaster didn’t work properly for several days.
These issues made cooking in the home extremely difficult.Although we requested assistance, responses were slow or ignored and issues often remained unresolved. Basic items were provided late, and often after a delayed or ignored response caused us to make the purchase ourselves. overall impression: safety hazards, poor cleanliness, malfunctioning appliances, slow communication made this stay very disappointing.
