Stayed Aug 2, 2025The hospitality, and stories provided by Bonnie and Bill about their property were much appreciated, and the abundant information about the local area was so helpful - there’s so much to do, see, and places to eat that we’ll have to come back. The cabin is old, quaint, and comfortable - and has everything you need.

Stayed Jul 19, 2025The location of this cabin was excellent – with water views and access to the Harraseeket River for canoeing, kayaking and bald eagle sightings. We loved that it was within walking distance of Wolf’s Neck State Park and its beautiful trails. Freeport shopping, restaurants and amenities were a short drive away, as were other local towns.Barb & Bill kindly met us for check-in and shared local information and recommendations. They were very welcoming to us and even had a water bowl ready for our pup! Barb’s restaurant suggestions were spot-on and will be added to our list of places to visit again next time we’re in Maine.Cabin had pretty much all we needed for a relaxing week, even interesting books to enjoy.. We spent most of our time outdoors, using the hammock, firepit or enjoying the sunset from the deck. We felt a little cramped during a rainstorm when all three adults were inside, as we expanded the table for card games. Wi-Fi was good- even when two us, unfortunately, had to do some work during our stay. Overall, it was very enjoyable. Super scenic and convenient place to have as a base for exploring the area.

Stayed Jul 12, 2025We enjoyed our stay at the cabin in July enormously. We had both rainy days and hot summer days and were well kept in both cases. The location is great for exploring the area and the kayaks and canoe were great fun. Would stay here again for a rustic experience, perhaps in Fall next time around. We saw Deer walking past the cottage and watched the fireflies at night in the woods. Thanks again to Bonnie and Bill for their hospitality!

Stayed Aug 12, 2023Loved the location of this cabin, close enough to Freeport while also embracing its wilderness location complete with a waterfall and waterfront access to the Harraseeket River via kayaks and canoes. Spent plenty of time enjoying the outdoors with the fire pit, the cabin itself provided everything we needed for our trip! If I’m ever back in Freeport I’ll be sure to stay here again!

Stayed Aug 5, 2023Very nice week! The owners were wonderful to talk to. The property is beautiful. Very nice views and awesome sunsets with camp fires! The cabin is old but very clean and cozy. It’s exactly as advertised! Location to LL Bean is very close and the Wolf’s Neck Farm and State park are even closer! I would rent there again when I can

Stayed Jul 29, 2023We enjoyed our week at this old rustic cabin. The view of the water, the sound of the waterfall and the privacy are great. The nearby state park is great for biking and short hikes. It's nice that Freeport is convenient.
