Maude was a great host and communicated all the rentals details very clear. Location was convenient for Smugglers Notch skiing. Cabin was really great!!
Great cabin near Smuggler’s Notch - nice fireplace and 3 bedrooms for family/6 guests. Perfect location near town and slopes!
I’m not happy with the location. Owner owner didn’t mention that the road that brings you to stove would be closed during winter times and when you run 15 minutes and it took us 55 minutes to go all the way around to stow a lot of our things had to be canceled because of the length of this trip
Perfect stay for 4 adults and 2 kids - and our small dog! Thank you to our host - the home was comfortable and clean - and had a lovely gas fireplace and smart TV. And the host provided great directions plus a welcome gift of Vermont maple syrup and pancake mix.
The little cabin was adorable! It was clean, stocked and very comfortable. Located in a fantastic area and even though it was right off the highway, we felt the setting was secluded enough to still really enjoy the woods and hear the stream. We did have a hot water heater issue in that there was no hot water one morning when we woke up. However, this is a compliment to the owners because when I contacted them, they were over with a handyman to fix it within an hour along with more dishwasher detergent as I mentioned there was none. It was fixed almost immediately. The third bedroom, the one with two twin beds, is very tiny and really only conducive to two kids. Really too small, and no place to put bags, with two adults. We all loved it and agreed that a nice touch would be some firewood provided for the outdoor fire pit. We went and bought some and scrounged around for some starter wood. Not necessary, of course, but we would have loved it.
This home was very clean, comfortable and close to hiking trails. Maude was very responsive to a minor plumbing problem which was fixed quickly. The only thing I wish I realized was how close to the road the house is.
My family and I loved the location and found lots of great hiking trails within less than 30 minutes of the cabin. Getting to Stowe was an easy, beautiful ride through the Notch. Maude was a great host--very quick to answer any questions we had, both before booking and after check-in. The cabin had everything we needed and there was plenty of room for a family of 4. The only suggestion I would make is that if you are a light sleeper and will be staying in the upstairs bedroom, bring earplugs and a mask as there is a boiler in the room that runs intermittently throughout the night, the A/C is quite loud, and there are skylights so the room gets very bright.
This probably is the most beautiful cabin I have ever seen. The host Maude was wonderful. The communication with her up until we stayed there was wonderful. Our first day there we had trouble with the upstairs toilet and Maude got someone there to fix it right away. There have been many more pictures added to the sight that were not there when we rented and are some of tbe most beautiful pictures inside the cabin with the balcony scene, smart TV ect. I packed a lot of extras as I didn 't know what to expect like dish soap, laundry and dish washer soap etc etc ect. The cabin had it all. Now I've told you the positives for a healthy young person but I am a 76 year old woman with disabilities and am on a walker. I was not able to get my walker through the bedroom door or bathroom door and got my husband up 3 times a night to take me to the bathroom. There was no railing on the steps leading into the cabin so my husband and sons lifted me on and off the porch. Even a railing would have been an improvement. If you are planning on taking your disable Mother there I would not advise it
Nice cabin with updated appliances and a great porch. Each bedroom had it's own AC unit. Appreciated the dishwasher and full-size washer/dryer. Located on a busier road. Drive to things and activities around Stowe took a little longer than anticipated. Very close to Smuggler's Notch ski area. Overall was a great stay.
Charming, comfortable, conveniently located & well-stocked. The windows & windowsills need a good washing. Outside photos make it look like it's private, which it isn't. Surrounded by homes & a busy highway.
The cabin is a great getaway! The owners are wonderful and available for any questions. We look forward to our next stay at the cabin!
Maude was an excellent host and the cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a great location as well. Would definitely stay there again! Highly recommended!
This cabin is equipped well with linens and kitchen needs; comfortable living room seating (sectional) and mattresses; open living space also brings in the sunlight (when sun is shining). It is closely located to Smuggler's Notch and a tasty restuarant/pub is minutes away too (Brewster River). We enjoyed ourselves emmensely.
We had a wonderful stay at the Log Cabin. The location was terrific and our lovely hosts made sure we had all we needed. We look forward to booking again when back in Vermont!
This cabin is perfect. It has everything you could possibly need and is fabulously located right near Smugglers Notch. We were able to tour around Vermont easily from this location and were treated to the most stunning views no matter what direction we drove! The wifi worked fabulously, the kitchen is well stocked, and our doggos had a blast. The hosts are lovely, and there for anything you need but are never imposing. I would highly recommend you book this place!
Three bedroom house/log cabin down road from Smugglers Notch. Served as a base for a wedding at The Barn at Smugglers’ Notch. Clean, comfy, bright. Loved it.
