Charming Mountain Cabin - 15 Minutes to Asheville

Best host and a beautiful cosy cabin with mountain view.

The cabin was equipped with everything you could think of, including cooking, bedding, and toiletries. Very pet friendly, including all the essentials for taking care of your four legged family member. The cabin itself is secluded, but convenience is a short drive away. Also close to great hiking and The Arts District. Host was very communicative. Home was very clean. Thanks Eleanor for a great stay!

Eleanor was a very welcoming and responsive host. The cabin is super clean and pretty roomy. Very nicely decorated. We felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of outlets and ports to plug in your phone. Ceiling fans in every room. Kitchen was well stocked. The Keurig coffee maker was nice and the cookies in the cute holiday mason jar were a nice touch. Bathroom had nice shower pressure and was fully stocked with toilet paper, bars of soap body wash, shampoo/conditioner and lotion. The neighborhood was very quiet and we felt safe. There are dogs across the street, but they only barked when we were outside with our dog. There were plenty of books, board games, puzzles and dvds. We were able to access our Amazon Prime and Netflix accounts on the tv. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

This was probably the most well thought out short term rental I have ever stayed in ( and I use them a lot). Very clean, comfortable and every convenience I could want. Most these days seem to be put together quickly by someone trying to make a quick buck but not this one. I got the feeling that maybe the owner stays here occasionally because even the small things were thought of. Best of all the king size bed was comfortable.

Very cute and clean cottage that is close to Asheville. It is very close to a mobile home next door which we weren’t aware of when we booked. Having said that, the yard is still very nice.

Came up here for a mother daughter weekend post helene. Close to asheville and several hikes. Place was clean and host answered all our questions!

My husband and I wanted a few days away from it all. This cute and cozy little cabin was just what we needed for a quiet getaway. If you enjoy shopping and great food there's plenty of it in just a short drive to nearby Asheville, NC.

My husband and I wanted to find a place to stay for one night so we could attend our grandsons' ballgames. It's sometimes challenging to find a rental for just one night, but this one accepts one-nighters! Even with cleaning fees, it was more affordable than the hotel we were considering, and this cabin provided us with more space to spread out. Immediately upon entering the cabin, we noticed how fresh it smelled and how immaculately clean it was. I had mentioned to the host that we would have to hustle out to get to our grandson's ball game the next morning. We were surprised by how our host kindly provided juice, milk, yogurt, and even individual-sized cereal boxes. They may do that for everyone, but it made us feel special. :) The bed is very comfortable. A generous selection of fluffy blankets, pillows, towels, and washcloths is provided. The bathroom tub and mirror are old, but are super clean. The decor of the home is a soothing, eclectic style. Uncluttered, yet containing well-appointed items that draw the eye. We thoroughly enjoyed viewing the various art pieces.Nice deck and backyard space. We didn't have time to enjoy the grill, but we noticed how nice and clean it was. My only wish is that the peaches on that tree had been ripe during our stay! It was nice and quiet. We would stay here again.

We stayed here while showing our dogs in agility at the ag center and it was perfect. Very comfortable bed, nice kitchen and living area, great outdoor space.

We stayed three nights in the cabin. Nice neighborhood, one kind size bed. A day bed and full couch. 1 Bath. Nice art on the walls from the owner herself. Cool place. Would highly recommend.

Very nice little house and had all the amenities we needed. Was a little hard to park in the front and the back entrance had to many steps for a handicap person. But the owner had everything in the yard done up beautifully.

This home is absolutely beautiful. There was a lot of care taken to make the stay as simple and enjoyable as possible like leaving essentials (bathroom, washing clothes, etc). It was the perfect place for a peaceful trip to the mountains!

I visited for a week of alone time and the stay was great!! I love how they provide all the basic supplies (including butter!)There are so many birds in the completely forested back of the house. Will stay again for sure. Highly recommend, as well as Trout Lily market!! They sell delicious fresh rainbow trout :)

Eleanor is a great host who responds to messages promptly and is a great help for when you need it. It’s clear she cares a lot about her cabin and the comfort of her guests. We enjoyed the record player, it was a nice alternative to television. The art around the house and interior design choices made the house feel lived in and inviting. It was the perfect size for me and my husband! I highly recommend staying here, we would definitely return and stay at this cabin again and again!

My husband and I stayed at Eleanor’s place with our 10 month old son. We reached out before booking to inquire on the noise level in the neighborhood and the proximity to my husband’s meeting in Asheville. She was prompt and kind with answering all of our questions. The house was so cozy and comfy and made us feel right at home! I loved how quiet the area was for our son to sleep at night and the star gazing was phenomenal! I would highly recommend if you’re visiting Asheville but would like the stay outside of the city noise.

I have stayed quite a few places through VRBO and others and this cabin is by far the best. It is so clean and comfortable and feels like home. The host is responsive, and seems to truly care and has curated a beautiful place to stay and enjoy.

We were so impressed by Eleanor’s home in Fairview. It was clean and cozy! Also, it was just 15-20 min from downtown Asheville, which was very convenient! The cabin is very beautiful and clean. The personal touches were lovely. I loved how well stocked it was with coffee and such. The location is quiet and perfectly fit our needs. Everything seemed very well thought out as to what people would need or enjoy. Can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I recently enjoyed a quick trip to Asheville for a benefit concert at the Grey Eagle, and our stay at this cabin was perfect! The cabin was spotless, thoughtfully stocked, and even had fresh milk and half-and-half waiting in the fridge for our morning coffee. The attention to detail made us feel right at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot and will definitely be returning!

The location for Biltmore was fine. However, there is nothing around for dining out. We could not find a decent restaurant in the area. Really turned off by signage about trespassing. We felt unwelcomed.

We had a great time visiting Asheville while staying at Eleanor's in Fairview. I'm grateful for the location as it's within close vicinity to all the overlooks in Asheville. We caught a concert at the Harrah's Cherokee Center and only had a 15-min drive back to this nice little cabin. The host was kind enough to offer us anything in the fridge or cabinets. There were plenty of dishes and utensils to make ourselves home cooked meals. In addition, Food Lion (which is great btw) was 3-min from the cabin. This spot was a win-win, we decided to stay one more night.
