Everything was wonderful and we would love to come back and stay again!! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. If you want to fish, just be sure to pack your own rod. Cute towns nearby if you want to go out but it’s great to stay and cook in the quaint little kitchen. Thanks for your hospitality!!

Exactly as pictured. So calm and peaceful. About 20 min to ellicotville. My only recommendation is to bring extra pillows and make sure you have a car that can make it up the gravel driveway. Really great stay. Very clean as well. Would come back!

This adorable cabin was the perfect location for a weekend getaway in the mountains! It was cozy, quiet, and the view was absolutely beautiful in the fall. The cabin is tucked far enough away in the forest to truly feel at peace in nature, yet still only a short drive to several little towns with many things to do. Our only issue was that the bed in the loft was very uncomfortable. We actually ended up sleeping on the couch the second night because it was more comfortable than the bed. Otherwise it was a great stay!

This property and the cabin were an ideal place to relax and enjoy nature. We slept well and enjoyed coffee on the porch in the mornings. Big bonus for me were all the different birds I heard and saw, including a flock of cedar waxwings that kept us entertained for 2 days, constantly swooping over the pond to catch tiny insects. A pair of barred owls were heard having a chat one night as well. We enjoyed dinners in Ellicottville with live music and great food/service at the Gin Mill. We took day trips to Chatauqua Lake and to Niagara Falls (do the Maid of the Mist boat ride! It is amazing). I am now a fan of this lovely area in Western NY and hope to return.

It became our favorite reading spot. Down by the water, there’s a cozy fire pit where my kids and I made s’mores under the stars. The interior is just as special: a charming spiral staircase, worn wood in all the right ways, eclectic Adirondack-style decor, and vintage touches (like metal tins and a coo coo clock) that give it a warm, nostalgic feel.Every nook invites relaxation — whether you're enjoying morning coffee on the porch or curling into a deep couch after sunset. The silence of the surrounding woods is unforgettable. It felt like stepping into a movie or a memory — something beautifully still and wholesome.Highly recommend for anyone looking to truly unwind and experience a bit of rustic magic.

If you're looking for an immaculate cabin in a beautiful, rural, private and tranquil setting, look no further! This cabin is amazing and the owner, Bette, could not have been more accommodating. My only word of caution is if you are an over-packer like I am, maneuvering a heavy suitcase up that spiral staircase is a bit of a challenge, but if you pack sensibly, you'll be fine. Thank you, Bette, for providing such an amazing setting for a memorable weekend in Ellicottville!

Very nice cabin and area we enjoyed our visit. The only disappointing thing was the bed and very steep steps to it. Overall very nice.

Amazing little cabin nestled in the woods. Everything you need is provided by the accommodating host. Sitting on the porch overlooking the private stocked pond is as peaceful as it gets. Thousands of acres of State Forest land nearby to explore. We will return as 3 days / 2 nights was not enough.

It's a beautiful log cabin very peaceful and a great pond to swim in this is the third year in a row we have gone the dog loved swimming and Bette keeps the place so clean and well maintained we love it

It really gives the feel of being out in the woods but still having modern comforts. Close to nature and away from a bustling city. Just down the road is Ellicottville and all it has to offer, but you always have the porch with a good view to go back to.

Perfect location and perfect size cabin for three adults

What an amazing property. One of the quietest VRBO I have ever stayed at. The pond had tons of Bass. The property was very clean and neat. The home had everything you needed for a relaxing stay.My wife, my 17-year-old twin daughters and myself stayed for five days and had an amazing time. We will definitely return in the fall to see the leaves change colors. Part of our trip we drove up to Niagara Falls and had an amazing time, this property is only about an hour and 20 minutes from there so it’s an easy day trip. The town of Ellicottville is only about 8 miles away and has a bunch of really neat shops and great restaurants. It also has a small grocery store and gas station so you can get everything you need for your stay. We spent most of our time on the front porch, I could’ve lived out there for days. One of the most relaxing vacations I’ve had in recent memory.

The cabin is absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. It was our first getaway with out the kids. Even with the rain it was perfect. We sat on the front porch in the morning enjoying the view, the rain added even more relaxation. The host was amazing especially when we got a little lost on our way in! The cabin is about 20 mins from most things which was super convenient. We would definitely stay again and make it a longer trip next time!

My wife and I stayed for a ski weekend. Communication with the owner was excellent throughout our stay. Property is in a beautiful, quiet location and has everything you need for your stay. The weather was very cold during our stay so the cabin was on the cool side but sleeping loft was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here the weekend of Feb 21 to Feb 24 2025 for a winter weekend getaway and could not be happier with our stay. From the very beginning our host was gracious and answered all questions quickly and accurately. Check-in was a breeze. The property is beautiful and very private. The views are beautiful and I can imagine sitting on the porch by the pond with a campfire in the summer. We came right after a huge snowstorm, and the host coordinated with us as to our arrival time so that the driveway would be freshly plowed for our arrival. A four wheel drive vehicle would be a good idea in the winter, but probably not absolutely needed.It is a short drive to Ellicotville and Holiday Valley. There is a big state park minutes away on the same road, and we took a long snowshoe walk on a logging road that is used by snowmobilers. Our dog was up to his shoulders in snow at times because of how much snow there was, but he loved every minute of it.The cabin is cozy and comfortable, and has pretty much everything you need. The bed is very comfortable and we slept very soundly after our days of activity and the dark woodsy surroundings. We loved the winter stay, and I imagine a summer stay would be even more fun. Reading through the review book in the cabin, people have been coming here for years, and everyone seems to love it.I am not using the host's name because I don't know if we are supposed to, but I haven't met a friendlier, honest, and trustworthy host.

The cabin had everything you could need for a cozy and quiet stay in the woods in winter. The host was great and even helped us out when we ran into some car trouble. My dogs loved running around in the snow. I definitely want to vacation back for when I need some quiet time.

We have stayed at many rentals, and this is by far our favorite! We discovered it during Covid and we keep going back. It was so special and so comfortable and we find new things to do in every season. Bette is the kindest host ever and her helpers are excellent as well. We had a beautiful snowy weekend and she made sure we were safe and plowed out. She is always making improvements to this beautiful place and sometimes we even miss the days that WIFI was spotty lol. It is cabin perfection and we are forever grateful. Our son and wife came along who also spent their honeymoon here, and soon we will bring our first grandchild too.Thank you Bette! Thanks Willie for plowing us in and out too!

Close enough to Ellicottville, NY ( 15 mins) to drive in for lunch and at the same time - worlds away from civilization. This cabin is quiet and rustic, but has every needed amenity. The property is also located next to a large State Forrest with several trail heads just a few minutes drive away. This was my 5th stay at this property and I will be back in the very near future.

The cabin is rustic and secluded. Yet, it offers the convenience and comfort of most amenities. My family (including our pup) enjoyed fishing in the pond, relaxing around the campfire, and hiking in the woods. The host was very responsive and helpful when contacted. We would love to stay here again.
