Charming Log Cabin in Tall Pines w/ Large Deck

This was exactly as advertised and made for a great getaway weekend. Cozy, beautiful views of the stars at night, close to restaurants and hiking, peaceful walkable neighborhood.

The cabin in general was cute, the bed was comfortable and the front porch was nice, however the ad mentioned 1 acre and private and it was not private. The fireplace was not as pictured and used some kind of pellets which might have been ok but there was a room heater attached to the wall right next to it, which the pictures didn't show and it took away from the fireplace. If you are much larger than a 5'3, petite person like me, the toilet is an issue. My 6' fiancé had a terrible time sitting on it. His leg had to go into the shower, luckily he's not a heavy man or he definitely wouldn't have fit. The shower curtain looked like it hadn't been washed in a very long time and used soap was left from the previous guest. We didn't even touch the microwave that was oddly located on top of the refrigerator because of the nasty dried up food or whatever all over the front of it. I went to make coffee and grabbed a mug which was on the shelf with other clean(?) dishes and it had coffee/tea streaks running down the side..needless to say we washed everything prior to using after seeing that. We felt like the ad was misleading and because of the dirty items we would not consider a returned visit to this cabin.

Great location near the town, but still semi-secluded. Perfect for a small family/couple, very quaint and cozy! Very quiet area. Very clean overall, but needs a deeper clean (ie: utensil holder, very dirty, walls behind sink needing a wipe down, throw blankets didn't smell clean). Owners thought of everything (ie: extra blankets, w/d, iron, coffee pot, fully stocked kitchen, like pots and poans). Fireplace was very difficult to operate after multiple attempts, we did not use it. Back fire pit area is not much to look at, that was disappointing. Uncomfortable sofa due to it being a sofa bed. Overall, great stay!

Host was great at communicating and the information guide was helpful accessing everything we needed for our stay. The cabin was cozy and made for an excellent Christmas vacation.

The host was amazing and replied super quick. They also sent us everything we needed to know to make it super seamless! The cabin was absolutely perfect, it was everything I hoped for and more! It was the perfect escape and I will definitely be going back!

The cabin was adequat as far as bedding and kitchen supplies. The edges of the floors were dirty. The front porch was not very welcoming. The paint is peeling and several spiders have made happy homes in the rafters. Overall it was a relaxing, enjoyable 3 days.

Clean, quiet and secluded cozy cabin...nice acreage with woods in the back...we enjoyed our stay ;0)

Entire cabin very dirty. Cobwebs around front door & bugs in outdoor light. Dust in window sills & on fan blades. Kitchen cabinet doors hanging & couple look like dogs had chewed. Gas grill was nasty looked like hadn’t been cleaned all season, good we didn’t plan to grill out. Silver ware holder in kitchen dirty & nasty.Curtains were not wide enough to cover windows & stool in bathroom hits shower do you have to sit on it sideways.Overall needs thorough cleaning & updates.We would not stay here again.

Check in was super easy, easy to get into the cabin. Nice quiet area. They allowed dogs which was a big deal for us. It was a very nice weekend and three adults were very comfortable there

The cabin is as advertised. It is in a heavily wooded area making the large front porch a nice place to relax. It is in a good location close to activities. It is also a rustic experience at a price well below what you would pay for luxury so it is a fair trade but know what you are getting into. Ratings seem to be relative to price and not relative to quality of accommodations. That is, if the price were higher, ratings might more accurately reflect the condition of the cabin.No TV, no WiFi (as advertised) but I was surprised how much that changed the experience. The lack of convenience seemed to amplify other shortcomings. Cell service is good so you can hotspot, but that your data plan.It is peaceful when the dogs aren’t barking…so many dogs. I love dogs but I am not a fan of constant barking (and people yelling at their barking dog)Saying the cabin is clean is a stretch. Silverware in the tray has food deposits, plates are on a dusty shelf, all the knobs are sticky. You just want to wash everything before you use it.Kitchen counter space is limited but putting the microwave out of reach on top of the fridge is not a great solution.Bed linens are thin, some with holes.Then there is toilet issue mentioned in other reviews.It is what we paid for, the rating should be considered relative to price, not other properties. Compared with a tent it is a 10, to a reasonable hotel it is a 5.

Not what we were expecting…the way it was listed we thought would be more secluded on the 1 acre. Not as clean as we would have liked spiderwebs dusty oven was dirty not much room to sit on the potty dog barking non stop every morning. Would not rent again.

Secluded, Three minutes to the main highway, away from all traffic. Good price is always plus. It served our purpose quite well. Thank you to the host.

The cabin was neat and clean. The kitchen was well supplied with all the cooking utensils you could ask for. The pellet fireplace worked well to heat the cabin, sufficient blankets and bedding were provided to keep the cold away. Unfortunately, with the wind, I was unable to enjoy the really nice porch and fire pit out back, but next time I'll check the weather! The cabin lived up to it's name, Cozy Cub Cabin. The only thing I would have added was cable service, had to go to a local bar to watch the playoff games, but that wasn't much if a problem! I give my experience 2 👍👍 thumbs up!!!

It was as advertised, clean, comfy littl cabin.
