Escape to your own private cabin nestled on three wooded acres close the Potomac River. Just an hour or so drive from metro DC, let West Virginia's country roads take you to the place you belong.

The cabin is designed to let you unwind and leave your stress behind. You'll be pampered with all the comforts of home while a natural wonderland awaits just outside your door.

Access to our amazing private riverfront is less than 200 yards from the cabin. Enjoy 150 feet of shoreline that's reserved exclusively for you and the guests at our adjoining riverfront property. This picturesque, slow-moving stretch of the Potomac is ideal for fishing, kayaking, or relaxing on an inner tube.

Built in the 1940’s, this vintage cedar-shingled cabin is tucked away on three wooded acres. Beautifully renovated inside and out, you'll appreciate the spacious comfort as well as luxuries like the tiled walk-in shower, rainfall showerhead, and heated floor.

The open-concept main level includes a large, well-equipped kitchen with dining area, spacious living room, and bedroom with a queen bed. The cozy loft features two twin beds.

The kitchen includes microwave, range, toaster & refrigerator. Complete coffee and tea station including whole beans, grinder, Chemex and electric kettle (traditional coffeemaker too).

The cabin also features a cozy west-facing front porch with rocking chairs, and a shady side patio with table/chairs, fire pit and gas grill with side burner. A few pots & pans are available for use with the grill.

INTERNET: Our Wi-Fi internet is fast enough for streaming Netflix, etc. on the Roku TV. There are occasional outages.

It's just a 5-mile drive to quaint and charming Shepherdstown, and 10 miles to fascinating Harpers Ferry. History lovers will appreciate the close proximity to Antietam Battlefield, Harpers Ferry National Park, and many other Civil War sights. Fantastic hiking, river rafting, and biking along the C&O Canal await the adventurer.

Within a 10 mile radius you'll find plenty of options for groceries, shopping, and dining.

CELL SERVICE: In this rural area cell coverage is very limited. We have Wi-Fi internet so you can use your phone with Wi-Fi calling.

Very clean. Well equipped and comfortable. Unusually large, modern bathroom for a cabin of this size. Great library with all sorts of interesting stuff to browse. Took awhile to figure out all the lights and ceiling fan with their associated switches - a few labels would be nice.

Responsive and welcoming host. Great house. Beautiful scenery. Peaceful. Had all the basics to cook, relax, stay as warm as possible given how cold it was. :-)

We really enjoyed our stay and the house was very clean and well equipped. I liked how it was close to several towns with restaurants and shopping. The host was extremely responsive and helpful and a pleasure to work with.

The cabin is down right beautiful, the host were easy to contact and took care of all our needs. The wife and I enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch and enjoyed all the wildlife, I haven't seen so many deer in my life. We will definitely book again in the future.

Clean and adequate for our stay. I'm sorry this was our best choice for 2 sleep areas due to stairs up to loft, and we couldn't understand how to make the stove work. Being in a wooded area was nice but some of the folks along the river made it clear that we didn't belong there.

Great location. We requested some needed maintenance that owner took care of same day that should've been performed w/o guests asking. Would suggest some curtains for the upper gable windows, is very bright in the loft as they face east.

My family enjoyed our stay at the cabin including having access to the river for morning coffee and playing board games in the evening after a day of tubing. The drive to the cabin was beautiful with lots of deer sightings.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this property a lot. It was clean and had great amenities. I wasn’t used to the ease at which the bugs got in (this is not the owners fault, just part of being in the woods) and the stone steps from the driveway to the actual steps are not optimal, in my opinion. If someone needs a walker or has a wheelchair I do not think I would select this property for that reason alone. The steps upstairs to the loft also made us nervous (boyfriend is a bodybuilder, getting 250 pounds of beefcake up the ladder was interesting) but they held out great. Generally our stay was pretty much perfect. The bed in particular was super comfy. I would definitely recommend this property to someone trying to be more outdoorsy who also wants close access to cute and bougie towns (which is me) or someone who wants to fish and hike and be close to civil war history (which is the bf).

We had a great time staying at this little cabin. It was very nice for our short anniversary trip. We arrived on a Monday evening and had a very easy time getting in. When you get there the first thing you notice is that this cabin is really, really in the woods. It was so nice and that was what I was looking for when I booked. The next thing you notice is that it is very nicely decorated. There were a few things we didn't take advantage of like the fire pit and the walk to the river, so I can't speak to that. We didn't have cellular service (AT&T) but the WIFI was very reliable. We only cooked one time, but the kitchen was lovely. The bathroom was clean and well laid out and the bed was comfortable. I think I only have one complaint and that is that there weren't enough washcloths or dish towels. One washcloth is not enough for a three night stay. We went out and bought some. Overall, this is a lovely place and we would stay here again if we visit Shepherdstown again. Thank you!

Loved the cabin. Very convenient to Harpers Ferry and Sheperdstown, both just a short drive away. The cabin was very clean and suited our needs for the short time we were there. Nice little walk down to the Potomac for a great view of the river. We didn't get to use the firepit due to it raining both days we were there. Looking forward to returning sometime in the future.

We enjoyed a long weekend at the cabin for a girls trip. Was everything we needed and wanted and the perfect space for 3 adults. We spent a lot of time at the cabin and felt very comfortable, we also took the short walk to the river for a quick swim and we went out to explore Harper's Ferry and Shepherdstown which were both an easy drive away (maybe 10 -20 minutes from the cabin depending). Hosts were gracious and very quickly responsive when we had a question. Would highly recommend this cabin!

The cabin was very nice, well appointed with upgraded finishes and a well supplied kitchen. The only draw back was the bugs were in full bloom in April. We didn't think bring bug spray.

We arrived at our cabin to find it dirty, there was an emergency with their cleaner, but upon calling them to notify of the dirty cabin, they graciously upgraded us to another riverfront property at no extra charge. We had an amazing stay & the customer service & communication were exceptional. We understand that emergencies happen & greatly appreciated the quick response & upgraded location. Thank You!

Great experience. Cabin is as shown, very comfortable, easy access. 10 min to Shepherdstown, lots of great restaurants and shops there. Our dates ended up being over the severe cold/snow in January 2025, so we didn't do much hiking or anything on the river, but it was a lovely environment, very peaceful and cozy. Owners were super responsive when needed and very easy to work with. Would definitely go back in nicer weather!

This property was perfect. I misread (completely my fault and thought it was river facing) but access was just perfect. The cabin had everything we needed and was comfortable. Loved the few mid-century touches and the heated floors in the bathroom. Close enough to town but just far enough out to enjoy the quiet.
