Stayed Jul 24, 2025Cabin itself was good, when we arrived last person that stayed trash was strewn all around the trash bin ,went to get in hot tub was attacked and stung by wasp and after the fact i saw where it had been reported to owner previously as someone else was stung and it was not taken care of , i get we were in the woods but they should have been taken care of since it was already reported and caretakers should have at least picked up the trash

Stayed Jul 18, 2025The cabin was beautiful, with everything you could need. The mountain view was incredible, and sitting on the porch was so nice, very quiet and peaceful. You are secluded, but at the same time there are still cabins nearby, which we liked. The beds were very comfortable, and the open layout was great! It was cabin-ey but still cozy. You are high up in the mountains (steep hills to get there, we had an SUV), but worth it, great location, and close to Blue Ridge Downtown Main Street area, and Ellijay. We had a great stay!

Stayed Jul 3, 2025This was a new listing for Vacasa and there were quite a few wrinkled that just hadn’t been ironed out yet. I’m giving 4 stars because although the stay was a bit of a disappointment, Vacasa as a company was unbelievably awesome. When we got there the keypad door lock wasn’t properly working. Called Vacasa, they handled it. My husband was exploring around and when he checked the hot tub he found a wasp nest. They stung him in the head. Inside, there were a few dead bugs on the ground and a random pile of dirt under the kitchen table. If these were the only issues, I would have given it a 5 stars review and not said a word. We were in the middle of the woods after all. The major issues came around midnight. I go to take a shower and realize there is no hot water. I checked all of the water accesses (both showers, sinks, etc) and no hot water anywhere. I contacted Vacasa and and they said they would send out their maintenance person the next day. Here is where Vacasa (corporate and the local Blue Ridge team) really shined. This was a holiday weekend. The maintenance person came out on the 4th of July and realized there was no propane in the tank to make the hot water heater work. They tried to get the propane company to come refill it, but as it was a holiday weekend, they couldn’t come until Monday. After we had already checked out. Vacasa gave us a partial refund and moved us to a different rental that was very nice and much more expensive than what we had originally rented. All at no extra cost to us. To say I was impressed with Vacasa as a company is a serious understatement. If you read all the way to here, just know that although Time Out wasn’t the best stay, the Vacasa team was awesome and I would definitely book with Vacasa again. I might even book this cabin again as I truly believe they just needed to work out a few things to make this cabin amazing. Last note, as of right now, there is no warning about the drive to this cabin. Be warned, the road is EXTREMELY steep and a mixture of dirt, clay, and gravel. If you are on a motorcycle, you will not make it to the cabin. If you are in a low to the ground car, you will bottom out. Thanks for taking the time to read this saga.
