What a wonderful gem! We loved this place. It was so cozy and yet spacious at the same time. We had deer and a baby fawn in the yard each day, the hot tub was great, and the inside of the house was decorated artistically for a cabin that made us feel so much at home and away at the same time. Only had one issue, the pull out sofa on the loft was missing more then 1/2 the springs and not usable. my 3 and 9 year olds ended up sleeping on cushions on the floor instead and from a kids stand point that rocked! (like camping they said) I think I saw this was an issue in prior posts, and looks like it has not been addressed yet. I still give a 5 star review, as this very tiny thing didn't affect us at all, however adults might not like sleeping on floor. Thank you for a wonderful vacation! We loved this place, and so far is our favorite VRBO!

This was a great cabin in the woods. The whole family was able to relax during the stay and the house had everything we needed. We really enjoyed being so close to the Salmon River and all the amenities Welches and ZigZag & Govy has to offer.

DO NOT STAY HERE IN THE WINTER MONTHS!! When we arrived to the cabin it was completely inaccessible. We had 2 SUVs with 4WD, snow tires, and chains and could not drive up the long driveway. After 2 hours of digging cars out of the snow in the dark we parked at the road and carried our things up. It’s an extremely steep hill up and the stairs were totally covered in ice and snow - I didn’t even realize there WERE stairs for the first day. I would have cleared a path myself but there was no snow shovel, ice or sand. The listing advertises a loft with a fold out bed. The fold out is completely broken (and also probably 30 years old). The netting that holds up the mattress is ripped out so if you lay on it the mattress sinks to the floor. We slept on the floor for 2 nights. After 2 days the management company finally sent someone out but he basically just acknowledged the bed was broken, apologized and couldn’t help us. We left a night early because I didn’t pay to sleep on the floor. I asked for a refund for the cost of that third night and did not get it. The management company is pretty hard to get a hold of. It’s a 1800 number. If you look up their reviews for other locations it’s awful. There’s another phone number listed at the house but it’s just a dead line. This place also needs a proper cleaning. There were lots of candy wrappers, balled up tissues etc under the beds or in the corners. Even dried up contacts on the nightstand! Yuck.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this rental. It had everything we needed for the weekend with plenty of kitchen utensils. However, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin. We were also a little surprised at the 15 fee per bag of trash that would not fit in the large can outside— we had 6 people for 4 days so ended up taking some of our trash home with us so we would not be charged.

We stayed several days at this beautiful cabin/home. It was just as advertised and was perfect for our first time in the area. It was secluded and we had he own mule deer herd almost every morning. The fireplace is gas and we were supposed by how much we enjoyed it. We did several local hikes, visited Timberline and Found a great brewery. The best grocery store to use their great gas stove was Hoodland Thriftway. We enjoyed the hot tun even though it was raining.

A wonderful property near Mt Hood and all that is in the area. The cabin was very clean and well kept and was relatively easy to find and get settled into. Only suggestion would be for a few more amenities as we had to scrounge around for some coffee and fundamental seasonings for cooking, etc. But overall it was a great stay. The laundry was incredibly convenient and overall the cabin was very well set up. Would love to come back in the winter and enjoy the beauty of the area then!

The house is very nice. Has that 'cabiny' feeling great for the mountains. Nicely appointed and great kitchen. Comfy beds and nice bathrooms. Only downside was the dvd player is glitchy. Very happy with our stay and we loved the Salmon River Cabin!
