Stayed Jul 18, 2025Cute cabin perfect for a two day river trip. It literally is located across 340 and up the hill from Compton/Golden Rock. It was nice being able to come into the AC, take a shower and a nap after a hot day on the river then return to my group in the evenings who were camping at Golden Rock. Beds were comfy, fridge kept my stuff cold, plenty of utensils, dishes, glassware etc. I also enjoyed sitting on the covered porch and watching the storms roll in. It definitely put a nice spin on my yearly trek to the Shenandoah River.

Stayed Jul 3, 2025I found this property looking to stay out in the mountains by Luray and was amazed by the cabin. It is much larger on the inside then it looks. The three bedrooms are comfortable and a nice respite. The view is highly underrated. From the porch and through the trees, it overlooks the river and the surrounding mountains. The fire pit off the porch is a fantastic place to relax. Betsy, the host, is pleasure to talk with about the house. She is more than welcoming. The location is perfect for access to the surrounding area. It is right off route 340 and sits about halfway between Luray and Front Royal. About 15 minutes from Skyline Drive. I highly recommend you take opportunity to stay here.
