NEWPORT, Tennessee
We are excited to have the opportunity to help you experience the beautiful Tennessee mountain views that we have grown to love. Our quaint “hillbilly” cabin is an older fixture of the area and no-one is sure exactly when it was built. Over the years there have been numerous modifications and updates. We have recently expanded the size of the cabin and also added a 12'x16' deck on the west side so that you may view the gorgeous sunsets at the end of your day while grilling your favorite meal on the new gas grill. Sit under the umbrella and enjoy! The roof has been completely replaced and the whole inside has been refurbished. Great care was taken to maintain the country feel. Through dedication to detail and lots of hard work the cabin is now up to rental standards and we hope that your visit will be both comfortable and memorable!
The cabin offers two bedrooms, each with its own queen size bed. The master bedroom is next to the full bathroom and a full vanity/mirror has been added to the second bedroom for your convenience, as well as a full size washer and dryer. The kitchen has been expanded and is fully equipped. The living room is newly furnished and offers a 50” HDTV, DVD, and free WIFI.
Additional parking available for camper, boat and trailer.
PROPERTY IS;
Only a quarter of a mile from Douglas Lake and one mile from a good size, well maintained, public boat launch.

Approximately 30 minutes from the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. This community is known world wide for its beautiful Smokey Mountain National Park. Also home to Dollywood, Ripley's Aquarium, Ogle's Water Park, numerous theaters, museums, restaurants, and shopping outlets.

Located on a good solid black top road . Property has additional parking for boat and/or camper. This cabin is not in a “cabin city” but on its own piece of private property on one wooded acre and offers seclusion from neighbors. Property is located so that you can enjoy yourself and not fight summer traffic! Beautiful country roads take you where you want to go and the driving time to any and all tourist attractions is cut in half.

Close to action but far enough away to enjoy relaxation.
Nice little cabin not to far from Gatlinburg. We had a nice stay in the cabin. Would definitely recommend staying here. Communication was great and everything was clean and well kept.
This was a wonderful property that was exactly as advertised, beautiful inside in a picturesque area. We arrived and had no problems checking into the property. The owner was responsive and extremely kind, offering a comprehensive list of resources for our stay and adventures in the area. I would gladly stay at this cabin again if in the area!
check your toilet float is sticking
Very clean! Very comfortable! Had a great stay!
Pictures were deceiving and descriptions, driveway rough and parking with boat not good at all. Yard not well maintained. Just not what we expected with pictures and good ratings on website. We left a day early.
Everything was nice except no wifi because the password would not work. Other than that it was fine for the stay.
Beautiful Cabin. Quiet. Close to Morristown and Newport
This property was a very cozy and welcoming feel my boys and i liked it being close to a couple boat ramps the place was clean and had everything you needed, would definitely stay again. Also got to learn a little about owners and heritage and history of place.Worth staying Tku.
We had a lovely time and the cabin was perfect!
100% recommended!
Cabin was just as advertised. Nice location and very well stocked. Made for a wonderful vacation.
The family and I enjoyed it
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was closer to the road than I expected. And the pickups going up and down the hill are kind of loud. But the back porch is peaceful. And the location is pretty convenient, close to a lot of things in the area. Had awesome BBQ at Bustin' Butts BBQ! Tried some moonshine at a local tasting spot. And visited Sevierville. The bathroom could use some updating and additional hooks since it is so small.
This cabin was awesome! We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Great hosts and will definitely be staying again!
Very clean cabin with everything you could need. Only a couple simple glitches with the keypad that were rectified immediately. Would stay here again!
Beautiful to relax with a nice atmosphere. Comfortable. Very unique, totally private, clean. Beautiful area with a lake near by.
The cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. It has full service kitchen and grill to cook your own meals if you were not out and about site seeing all that is in the area. Close to North Carolina (Asheville), close to Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Gatlinburg if you did not want to stay in the constant busyness of those areas. We wanted to visit but then go to stay somewhere where you could relax. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would not hesitate to stay there again.
We had a great experience at this cabin. It is small and cozy! It was perfect for our family of five. We enjoyed our days on Douglas Lake. The location was very convenient for the lake and there were stores and restaurants close by.
Quick and easy. Looking forward to renting again
Not as quiet as couple years ago but still enjoyable. Nice place to stay.
This cabin absolutely amazed us! It’s beautiful, clean, cozy, and very welcoming! Just a few minutes to the public landing boat launch, which was very convenient. Parking a boat and truck was a little tricky, but we managed quite well. We will definitely be back!! I highly recommend checking this cabin out!!
Overall a very nice place just as described. Would definitely stay here again.
Just didn’t care for place and location
My husband, adult son and I spent three nights at the Cedar Crest cabin for disc golf tournament. We stayed for two reasons, location and the photos of the cabin were compelling. The owner helped answer my questions as to location in regards to the tournament prior to booking which was helpful. We knew the cabin (being old) would be rich in history but inside there is also alot of history that we found to be super interesting. The owner documents all that history in a book as well as provides a map to the Cosby area that has some interesting history. We did that tour and stopped at the lookouts using his map, this was not something we planned to do but was so worthwile. The front door was persnickety while checking in but the owner responded by text and phone within minutes. We found the cabin to be clean, the shower hot, the porch delightful and the kitchen extremely well stocked. It is a very peaceful location but close to grocery stores and restaurants. We plan to return for next years disc golf tournament.
This was a very nice, clean well kept cabin. The location is good and communication with the owner was very easy and they were very polite. I would stay there again
We rented the cabin as a base of operations to shoot landscape in the mountains, we loved it. Quiet, secluded, but not far from civilization. Plenty of farm animals nearby it was fantastic, rent from these good folks you'll have a great time and read his guestbook about the town of Cosby.
Great
