This cabin on the river/creek was ok. The pictures and listing are deceiving. You have to cross the road to get to the river and there is an old mobile home right next to it that isnt shown in the pictures. The inside needs updating and the pictures dont reflect that. The internet is very slow and spotty. The water pressure in the showers was extremely low, especially for ladies trying to wash their hair. The water also has a metal smell to it. When you first walk into the cabin, it also has a musty smell. The pots and pans are old and everything stuck to them. It made it very difficult to cook and clean them. Also, the owners were at the property multiple times during our stay. When we first arrived at checkin time, they were there working in the yard. We did inform them during our stay that the water pressure in the showers was really low and we would be gone one afternoon and they responded that they would come check it out. They did come check on it, but it wasnt until we came back home. They then stayed and worked in the yard a little longer. They even came after dark to take pictures of the outside lighting one night, while we were outside roasting smores. The morning we left, they showed up two hours before checkout and started working in the yard. It all felt intrusive.

Our stay was fantastic! We decided to do something different for Thanksgiving, and do a Mountain Thanksgiving. The place was a cozy, clean, beautifully decorated retreat to make our holiday even more special! The host offers a place that feels like home! Highly recommend!

The place was beautiful. We enjoyed cooking on the grill and in the firepit. We enjoyed what we called the camp cat we didnt let it in the house but there was cat food there from someone so we fed it. The only thong I think I would recommend is maybevlights by firepit and coming down the steps going to firepit.

My friend wanted to have a camp bachelorette party without needing tents… this rental was perfect! Secluded enough that we could hear the river just across the street, frogs and birds chirping, but close enough to a town where we could run for any essentials we forgot. The fridge had stopped working before we arrived and the hosts were over in a few minutes to check on things and offered to buy us new coolers and bags of ice. The fridge was replaced the next day! Overall great house, and great hosts!

The house is charming and immaculate and positioned at the end of a road and just above the Casselman River. The host is friendly and flexible. While ours was a winter visit, the abundant forests, rivers, walking and biking paths, state parks and historic sites make this a warm weather base for active people.

The house was clean, well furnished and had a kitchen with more than enough cuttery, dinnerware, serving dishes and pots and pans. It had 2 crock pots which was nice to have. The owners were very receptive to any questions we had. They also responded quickly when having difficulty with the heat. The bed situation is in need of some chamges. Nearly EVERY BED in the house had divets from wear and tear. And nearly each bed was covered with a memory foam topper.
