Cantwell Prairie | Hocking Hills, Pool & Game Room

This was a perfect place for my family to spend the weekend! Bed comfortable! More than enough room for everyone.

Absolutely amazing stay! The cabin was spotless, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described—if not better. The space was comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for relaxing and making memories. We would 100% book again and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful, high-quality getaway.

Great place overall. Stink bugs and lady bugs were a bit of an issue but it's that time of year. Guest house having a pool table and a air hockey table was awesome but the air hockey table was so wobbly we didn't want to touch it. Guest house wasn't clean upon arrival but host quickly responded and got someone to clean it up and offered some money back the inconvenience which was appreciated. Very nice and cozy place to stay. Beautiful property. Would definitely like to come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the pool and property.

Great time with family and friends! Fun setting and location. Excellent outdoor space with plenty of room for big groups to enjoy time together.

The coziness of the house

The cabin was set in a very private area and would have been hard to find without Google Maps. The rooms in the cabin were a little smaller than expected, and there were no bedside table lamps in the upper bedroom. The pool was appreciated by the young children and their parents, but the adults liked the hot tub.

Eighteen of our family members age 1 to 71 yo stayed during a very hot week (90's). We found the facilities clean, spacious, comfortably cool, and the pool refreshing. Each of our little preschool to elementary kids were excited to catch their first fish in the well stocked pond. The grounds are well kept, it is quiet, private, yet only about 10 minutes from stores and restaurants in Logan. The deck is large enough to play a bit of cornhole and high enough to sail toy gliders from.

The cabin was cozy and well appointed. There was plenty of space to spread out, but gathering spaces encouraged us to sit together and talk. The back deck is absolutely gorgeous and the property is just beautiful. Very peaceful! Having a guesthouse on the property was also helpful!

Aftenough during a very hot week

Great stay!

The property itself is great, houses needed to be cleaned/maintained prior to opening for the season. Pool was green and not usable, listing stated it would be open for Memorial Day. Moved furniture around and found bugs. Power went out and the generator did not come on, went to investigate and it was infested with ants. Kitchen was not stocked enough for the advertised 19 people the house could accommodate (especially silverware). I had to contact the company to make the second payment and to receive check in information.

A beautiful property and we all enjoyed it!We could have used one more bathroom and there needed to be extra blankets as it got cold during our stay. Otherwise it was a truly wonderful stay!

Great family weekend, this place had everything we needed, very well kept. Pet friendly and great deck to grill out and hang at the hot tub!

Cleaning was subpar and needs upgrades and better maintenance

We had 5 different families meet centrally here. The house provided enough room, the pool was great, and while at first the guest house was far away, it worked well when someone was under the weather. The large deck with hot tub and multiple fire rings were perfect for a bit group of mixed ages. Kitchen had whatever we needed. We didn't use the ponds because of location, low water level, and weeds. Nice lawn for activities and dogs. Only negatives were not enough towels for number of people and not able to use ponds.

The outdoor space and location is fantastic. However, the pool was green and you couldn’t see the bottom. It took three days for them to do the necessary maintenance for it to be ready to use, then the kids eyes burned for the next three days. The main house was very roomy, but on the main floor where the family gathered there was no comfortable furniture- just a well worn 2 person love seat that sagged when you sat in it and kitchen table chairs. The couple who shared the master said the mattress was old and uncomfortable and they hadn’t dusted up there for some time. The bachelors in the axillary building thought it was fine.

The place was great my family really enjoyed the space. It was spacious for everyone to hang out and also for people to have their own space. Only downside was the pond was overgrown. You get snagged every time you cast.
