Stayed Dec 30, 2025We left a day early because the electric power was out more than on. Could not reach a property manager because the power to the wi-fi/internet was out too.Did not ski, was up for snowmobiling. But because the power was out my wife was alone without power. Had to cut the trip short because of power failures. Overall nice cabin but power issue overwhelmed the stay.

Stayed Sep 18, 2025Beautiful, quiet location on the lake. Weather didn’t allow us to get on the lake and paddle but it would have been fabulous to do so. Very clean house. Really comfortable couch. We’re used to a king bed, so the smaller bed was an adjustment for us. Biked directly from the house about 2 miles on a very quiet road to get to the Heart of Vilas Co bike trail. If you’re looking for a secluded getaway, this is a nice place.

Stayed Sep 14, 2024We loved this home on such a beautiful, quiet lake. We lucked out and had perfect weather for kayaking and hiking on nearby trails. (We even had a little swim.) Would love to come back next summer. Cathy and Ron PS Enjoyed hearing the loons and watching the birds too.

Stayed Jul 23, 2024Hands down the best VRBO rental for location and cost. Took my daughter Kayaking for a short 3 day vacation. Low to water surface dock made it easy in and out of the Lake. Lots to see Kayaking within Van Vliet Lake. If adventurous, cross over into Presqur isle lake without the need to portage across any land mass. The 2 bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and functional. This not to be taken lightly! Most cabins are sparse on dishers and flatware ! And finally, the outdoor area. Great for sitting around to read a book or start a campfire for those s'mores. Was so worth the 600 mile drive. We will be back!
