Cabin on the farm in Rockingham County

We loved that the cabin was located near all the things we had planned for our trip. It had everything we needed, it was clean and comfortable! We enjoyed the fireplace and grill, it was peaceful, private, and exactly what we needed for our anniversary! Wayne is very nice. He gave us some dining suggestions and information helpful to our stay. We absolutely plan to stay here again.

Cannot say enough ģood things about this cabin! It's like stepping back in time, the ambiance is unmatchable! The cabin was spotless, the owners were highly accommodating, all amenities we needed, including coffee pods and snacks, this place is paradise to us, and will always be a very special place to us, and we will certainly be returning!! The outdoor fireplace was one of our favorite things, we spent most of our time there, PLENTY of wood was supplied for us, loved the round swing, as well as the other swing, watching the sunset from this property was DIVINE! A truly heavenly experience! Loved the small chapel and old gas station and general store. If your looking for a great PRIVATE getaway, this is 4 you!!!

This is the perfect getaway near the JMU campus. The location of the cabin is very private. We loved building a fire in the outdoor fireplace. The cabin may appear small on the outside, but it is perfect for 2-there is more room inside than in a hotel. The host is very personable and hospitable.

It was everything and more than you get at a hotel. It was the best stay we ever had away from home. We did not have the noise that you have around a hotel. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The walk around the woods early in the morning was very refreshing. We plan to visit again.

What a great surprise! This little gem located in woods was very cozy and private...and immaculately clean and neat. Dennis was very accommodating, attentive, and polite. The little church just down the road was very inviting and welcoming, very nice people to worship with. If you're looking for a relaxing place with room to roam around with nothing but the trees, deer, and squirrels to talk to...then this is the place. We WILL be back.

This was such a relaxing spot all to yourself behind some poultry sheds and a grazing pasture with cows (and a barn cat) at the treeline of a hill. Dennis is a kind, wonderful host and led the way to the property in person. Great view of a forested hill with sunset behind each evening, and the cabin is thoughtfully stocked, clean and cozy.

I enjoyed my stay. The only noise was a few cows and birds. Great location off the road in a rural setting. Great place for a dog to run around. Dennis was an excellent host.

Dennis was very accommodating. The property was very clean and exactly as listed. We stayed here for our son’s college graduation so we weren’t at the property very much but there was firewood available to use in the fireplace and lots of outdoor seating. We will def be back again!

A beautiful setting with peace and quiet!

We have been here several times over the last few years. Dennis is always a phenomenal host! The woods are beautiful this time of year and snow was everywhere. This visit, our puppy decided to chase a skunk, so that was a little adventure for us! ;)

Our stay was wonderful. Dennis made sure we were set up for success by offering great food recommendations in town, showing us around the cabin, and being available whenever we needed anything. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We couldn’t recommend it enough.

The cabin was immaculate. The kitchen was full of everything you need to cook meals. There were plenty places to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors and the amazing sunsets. There are a lot of places to see and go in the area. The restaurant that was suggested by Dennis was delicious. If I had a question it was answered quickly. If you want to get away from the daily hustle and bustle, this is the place to stay to get get much needed rest.

We had another amazing trip to the cabin! We will be back this winter!

This was such a cozy cabin! Extremely clean, had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway. We enjoyed the fireplace, walking trail and just sitting on the porch enjoying coffee looking out at the beautiful scenery. Our host, Dennis was amazing! He let us know our cabin was ready, met with us at arrival to lead us to the cabin, checked on us during our stay and responded quickly to any requests.

I loved the privacy and old growth trees! The cabin was cute and comfortable.

The cabin is sweet, comfortable and clean. It is off the beaten path and a bit hard to access. However, that is part of the charm of the location - isolated and quiet but not so far off the road to be a problem. The property sits above the owner's working farm. He is easily accessible and most helpful for any questions or assistance.

What a charming spot! Absolutely loved my time there. The photos of the covered porch area attracted me to the place and it did not disappoint. I will absolutely return.

Great air conditioning for a hot July week. A long driveway to a secluded quiet wooded area. Bottled water was welcome and needed. Strong wifi signal and TV worked great. Because we were at a camp about 20 minutes away all day and into the evening, this cabin was our older adult quiet place to rest and attend to our elder needs. We slept very well and it was needed after a long and active day. Thanks!! Enjoyed our brief talks with you.

Great place to relax and enjoy the countryside. The cabin had every amenity we needed. Having morning coffee on the patio near the fireplace was very enjoyable. Dennis was very nice and explained everything thoroughly. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are visiting the area.

Everything was perfect from arrival until our departure. Dennis was very helpful in suggesting nearby restaurants and activities. The cabin was the perfect getaway... from the soft bed to the cozy outdoor fireplace, surrounding scenery, warm hospitality and relaxation. It was exactly what we were looking for when planning our trip to Harrisonburg.

The cabin is absolutely fantastic. It’s in such a fantastic, quiet, beautiful setting that pictures truly don’t do it justice. Dennis and his crew take such great care of the property and the guests that stay there. It truly is a hidden gem.

Lovely secluded spot surrounded by cows, chickens and mountain vistas. The cabin is clean and well maintained. Although it rained part of every day, we were safe and warm on the patio with a fire in the fireplace. Dennis is genial and easy going, always answering messages within 10 minutes. We enjoyed touring Bluestone winery and White Oak Lavender Farm nearby.

If you are looking for a place to get away, this is it. My only close neighbors were cows, birds, and squirrels. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Dennis showed me how to adjust the air/heat and made sure I had up to date information on local restaurants. I look forward to coming back!

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin on the farm. The cabin was very nice, clean, cozy and had what we needed for our two night's stay, including coffee! The setting is charming and peaceful. Our dog enjoyed his trail walks. The hosts were a delight to talk with. We look forward to our next visit.

Our stay was fabulous! Dennis greeted us and showed us around when we arrived. The property is right on his farm, but secluded enough where it felt private. Even though we stayed in January, we loved the fireplace outside. The cabin was clean and welcoming. It was an easy 18 min drive to downtown Harrisonburg and about 30 min to Luray Caverns & Shenandoah.

Our stay at this quaint cabin was enjoyed! The fire place was a great amenity. The cabin was clean, comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of cookware. We were visiting our JMU Duke for a game 💜💛💜💛

This property was more than we imagined it to be!! Waking up and seeing all the vibrant colors right outside your window and sitting by the fire at night hearing nothing but nature was all we needed…an escape from our busy city lifestyle. Dennis was nothing but a blessing and a big help with any questions we had. Along with providing us with everything we needed, he told us some wonderful destinations to explore and we cannot thank him enough !! We would definitely recommend! 100/10

We love going here and have been many times over the last two years. Peaceful, gorgeous woods and the perfect cabin for two! Owner is amazing.

This was our second time at this cabin. It has everything you would possibly need for a stay. The owner checked in with us everyday to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything.

Dennis was a great host. The cabin was just as described with a nice outdoor fireplace under a covered roof which we enjoyed each evening. Host provided firewood with our stay and had great suggestions for local sight seeing. 10/10 would rent again!
