We had a great stay. The main house and additional cabin were clean, updated with all the modern amenities you can imagine. The beds were comfortable with fresh linens, bathrooms updated with plush hotel luxury towels, toiletries (body wash/Shampoo/Conditioner) were provided and of good quality. K-cups were provided for the numerous k-cup machines placed in each kitchen and one in the lower level. We also made use of the expresso machine in the main kitchen. The sauna was great for our sore muscles after our day trip of hiking the silver lake dunes. The kids enjoyed kayaking, paddle boating and jumping off the swimming pad that we took out to the middle of the lake. Beach towels were provided which was great for the hours we spent at the lake. We spent some time fishing from the pontoon boat in the lake full of Bass, sun fish and blue gills. Any cooking appliances needed are there for our use including a toaster, crockpot, air fryer, propane wood pellet grill, Habachi outdoor grill (great for pancakes, bacon and eggs), and microwave. There were more I am sure we missed. The home was adorned with great art work and unique quality crafted furniture. The property was adorned with nice sculptures, marked hiking trails with peaceful streams. We were never bored. The kids and adults spent evenings telling stories, roasting marshmallows for s’mores at the bonfire (firewood was provided and ample) and a s’mores care package was provided by the host which was a nice touch.
For a secluded getaway with plenty of space for a larger group this is a great place to stay. There are plenty of activities for the kids! We stayed in the winter so we didn’t get to take full advantage of the water activities but there was still enough to keep the kids busy. The guest home was fantastic and where we found ourselves spending most of our time. The host was very responsive and accommodating. There was one day where some neighbors in the distance were probably doing target practice so if that bothers you something to consider- it’s a hunting area.
This was absolutely the best location for a family gathering. We will DEFINITELY rent from this location again! There isn’t enough positive adjectives to describe this place! Thank you again for sharing your home!
Very nice and cozy house. The lake is amazing. We had a wonderful time there and we wished we could stay more. Definitely would like the rent again.
This place was as good as advertised. Very secluded, quiet and peaceful location. The property is on a small no-wake lake, but still big enough for great kayaking, trolling with a pontoon and exceptional fishing.
Large group of guys who came to enjoy being outside on the lake. So many games, gorgeous property, amazing lake with pontoon boat. They really took care of everything and it is a very comfortable place to stay-slept 12 adult men. No detail that was not carefully considered. 10/10

The air hockey table, ping pong and pool were entertaining for all. We allowed the kids to play games on one of the PlayStations, we watched movies on Netflix and Amazon from our accounts, the kids worked on puzzles provided and played board games provided. It was so much to do without leaving. The WiFi worked the entire time even during the storm. Bottom line we had a great time and there was never a dull moment. We highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed. The host and site was awesome and met our expectations and then some. We will return to make more memories in the future with our friends and family.
We were looking to get away for a long weekend to celebrate a 30th birthday and this was the perfect place! Plenty of space to spread out, indoor activities if it rained (luckily we had beautiful weather), and a lake that was super calm and relaxing to just go to the middle and enjoy the day (5 houses on the lake so we only saw one other boat all weekend). Having a pellet grill and LARGE griddle outside made cooking for a big group a breeze! At night, we were able to have a nice fire and make some great memories along the way. As for the hosts, they were EXTREMELY friendly, communicative and accommodating when we had some last minute things pop up. They made the check-in extremely easy and everything was ready to go when we showed up. While we were there, we had a few questions but were able to text the host and received a prompt response answering the questions. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a fun getaway with friends and family. So many activities for people of all ages - we were able to catch a few largemouth bass that were 10-12 inches with minimal effort and saw so many panfish that we lost count. Only things I would note to future vacationers: 1. While the wifi works great, the phone service is a bit spotty so just be prepared (we enjoyed that because we were able to put phones away for the weekend and relax); 2. If you have kids that do not like swimming in deeper water, the water by the dock is very soft/muddy. The water is really clear (you can see fish right from the dock, which was really fun) but just due to the ecosystem, the water has a softer bottom vs rocks or sand.
We booked this property for a surprise party weekend for our son's 30th birthday. The owner was very accommodating and communicative - and obviously dedicated to the success of our weekend. The house and deck were so comfortable and inviting that we didn't even have time to use the water toys or take advantage of the trails that were part of this very private, resort-like lakefront property. With the owner's permission, we hosted a cookout for 50-plus guests as part of the weekend, and found the kitchens very well-equipped, with plenty of space for preparation, serving and feeding a group (all while maintaining adequate personal space). The bedrooms are large, comfortable and the bathrooms are spa-like. We saw beautiful sunsets over the lake from the comfort of the deck and firepit, and appreciated the atmosphere, furnishings and entertainment (ping-pong, pool, cornhole, multiple TVs, board games, etc.) If you are looking for a place to have a family or college reunion, team-building retreat, or youth group gathering, look no further. This place ticks all the boxes...and more.
The Trufant cabin is definitely a must experience stay! I was looking for somewhere epic for my 30th birthday because I knew everywhere would still be closed due to covid. Trufant cabin was perfect getaway for my family and friends! It was stunning, not to mention the comfiest beds, the sauna is awesome, perfect hosting space for family and friends to have some drinks, sit by a fire, play games and laugh ! Super clean, kitchen is fully equipped, the host is very accommodating, easy communication, scenery is beautiful on a small lake covered in snow and my family can’t wait to go back!
My husband, daughter and our family friends wanted to get away before the school year started, and what an amazing getaway it was. When we arrived we were in awh of the amazingly beautiful property and log homes we were going to be staying at for the next several days. The property owners Stephanie and josh couldn’t have been any nicer or more welcoming. Our days were filled with kayaking, enjoying the Pontoon, hiking, playing corn hole, ping-pong,, you name it they had it!!!We were never at a lack for things to do. The fire pit outback was wonderful for the evenings while grilling up our favorite foods . If we had a question about anything Stephanie was on top of it & so helpful.. As not knowing the area I was able to call up Stephanie and ask her for a recommendation of a restaurant for us to go one night and she hit it right on the dot. We sat outside over looking a beautiful lake having a wonderful meal the last evening we stayed. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!!! My family and friends are hoping to make this a yearly getaway since we had such an amazing time!!!
